Pros

As one of the first users to help Vendorful begin it's business, I think it was great working together to have Vendorful fit to the needs of our business. At first we needed Vendorful for vendor ratings and management, and the platform has grown to fit other needs within our department as well as others in the company.

Cons

Maybe I would say that Vendorful has changed to implement other companies' needs, which is great but sometimes without awareness, features were changed without us knowing. So sometimes we would go in and we would realize things were different and we had to play around the system to figure it out. Also, sometimes when we would ask for an update in one feature, it would affect another function. Not always bug free but it was doable.

Reasons for Choosing Vendorful

Other alternatives offered too many modules we did not need for an expensive price.

Ground Up Vendor Management Tool

Our overall experience with Vendorful was VERY positive. This was not "out of the box" ready for our use when we got started. However, we knew that and both C&F and Vendorful were in it to make it meet our needs.

Pros

What we liked most about the software was the ability to be flexible, and the willingness that was always displayed in getting us what we needed and found most useful. The team at Vendorful was always helpful, worked hard to understand what we wanted and delivered.

Cons

We were an "early" user of this software, and it did not have "model" in play yet for insurance vendor purposes. While a lot of what they had was transferrable, we all needed to work hard to make it happen. This was a bit time consuming, ---worth it, but time consuming.

Flexible and Intuitive

In addition to just helping with a sourcing Vendorful has made Savings Tracking easier, which allows me as a manager track how each person on my team is trending toward their goals, as well as how the team overall is trending to the team goal. Another item I liked regarding Vendorful is the Project Management WorkFlow module. The abilty to create internal process workflows helps reduce email traffic, and allows us to focus on getting the task complete vs trying to find the email request.

Pros

I have been using the tool for a few years now and I have really enjoyed how flexible and intuitive the tool is for me. I have the ability to copy previous events, utilize a bank of questions from templates, and select previously invited suppliers to invite without having to search through my email or spreadsheet for their contact information. Additionally, I really enjoy the ability to track what step the supplier is currently on in the RFP. Before I would have to assume the supplier received the email and had no way of confirming the supplier actually received the RFP documents.

Cons

It it tough to pick out what is missing since the tool does check a lot of boxes for me, but if I had to pick one it would be robust modeling capabilities. There are some categories that have numerous items and a large supplier base, so the ability to conduct robust modeling is key. We currently conduct the modeling outside of the tool and the Advantages of this tool outweighs missing the robust modeling component.

Procurement Teams Need Vendorful

The overall use of the software and integration into our procurement process has been seamless. The customer support team is amazing and just an email away with immediate support. Unlike I've seen on any other platform.

Pros

The software is easy to use - literally add water and shake! The Vendorful software is primarily used in our vendor management, supplier diversity program and small business program. The platform was reviewed by an ISO auditor and External auditor while auditing our procurement system. Both gave Vendorful high marks for organization, data collection, reports and vendor management. Thus leading to ISO certification and passing our audit.

Cons

Our team hasn't come across anything that we don't like or needs to be improved.

Vendorful Made my RFP Process Painless

Vendorful Makes RFPs Painless We recently used Vendorful to run an RFP for a major initiative. Nobody likes running RFPs, but when done right, they can be really valuable in finding the right vendor. In any case, our point of contact at Vendorful assured us that the process would be painless. I'm delighted to say that he was right. We were able to submit our RFP to 20 vendors and have each stakeholder on our team score the responses independently, right in the Vendorful app. Ultimately, we were able to find the RIGHT vendor for our needs. And as we were promised, getting there was painless. All of us who participated in issuing the RFP were pretty blown away that we could get so much value out of a free product.
