Implementing the software was easy and customer support was very attentive and has been for follow up questions. The online pharmacy is very customizable and allows you to remove medications you don't recommend. You can easily send clients a link to check out and with recommended products or prescriptions. Integration with Pulse practice software is a little disorganized. It will import with a default time of 12am which can be confusing when following up with clients. Read More VR Verified Reviewer Veterinary Self-Employed Used monthly for less than 6 months Review source Reviewed August 2025 Vetcove failed to deliver my cat's food on time - do not use them for urgent needs 1 My vet's office recently began requiring pet parents to order from Vetcove to ship their pets' prescriptions to their home, as opposed to Chewy or similar online pharmacies. I ordered on Saturday July 26. My vet's office approved in the morning of Monday July 28. The product did not even ship until the evening of Friday August 1 AFTER I followed up via email, and it will not arrive until Tuesday August 5th (a week and a half after I ordered, and outside of their 1-5 day arrival promise). There was no response to my email requesting an update on my order. Vetcove misleadingly promises food will arrive within 1-5 days, but this is the actual shipping time. They make no mention of their processing time. Evidently, that processing time is not included in their arrival estimate time. For my order, the processing time was 5 business days in addition to the 1-5 days for ground shipping. During this time, my cat ran out of his prescription food. Vetcove claims to compete with Chewy in terms of user experience. Chewy would have had our food here within 3 days of ordering. Thankfully, we were able to get the food from our vet's office at an increased price. Do not use Vetcove for anything remotely urgent or time-sensitive. It's unacceptable to take so long to send pet prescriptions with absolutely no communication. My vet now charges a processing fee in order to send prescriptions to Chewy as opposed to Vetcove, which I will happily pay if it means I never have to rely on Vetcove again. They are unreliable, uncommunicative, and do not fulfill their shipping promises when shipping direct to pet parents. It vastly decreased the amount of time I spend researching and processing inventory. Inventory purchases are so much more efficient since I started using Vetcove. Absolutely love it! I am able to price shop and check backorders for every distributor all at the same time. I can also easily find alternatives for backordered items. We are part of a buying group and therefore get discounts on many products. Vetcove shows both the "regular" retail price and the discounted price, which is very helpful when pricing out items. You can also purchase directly from Vetcove rather than going to each individual website. I don't utilize that feature as I place my orders through our PIMS, but on the rare occasions I do shop online, it is very helpful. They also seem to be adding distributors on a regular basis, widening the possibilities. Cons: I have found on rare occasions that the prices on Vetcove are not accurate. I'm unsure if that is due to a delay in reflecting price increases or is limited to one manufacturer (specifically Zoetis) in particular? With that particular manufacturer, I am typically using Vetcove more for backorders as they do annual price increases and I don't worry about regularly changing prices. It is the only product our company uses for ordering product. I save time each with there superior vendor and manufacture integration. We also save money by being able to seeing prices of all vendors for each product. So inventory is just one part of my job and I only have so much time each day to complete certain tasks. With Vetcove I can confidently order items for our clinic each week and know I am getting the best price. Every so often I use Vetcove to price search and find products I need at a better price from another vendor. I am able to make lists that I can go back to. I can also look at all orders that I've made in the past. One thing I really like is when searching for products I can see what items I've ordered and when. It also shows me how many times I've ordered it in the last. It also lets you know when vendors are back stocked or no longer selling certain items. They also have a discount list where you can order some items at a discount. Cons: I really love everything about it.
