Endpoint Security for Business Core Software

Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business Core is an on-premise and cloud-based security solution for small and medium-sized businesses that includes anti-malware, a firewall and a central administration control. It combines signature-based malware detection with the pattern-based technologies, enabling it to defend against new and emerging threats. It also taps into the Kaspersky Security Network, allowing Kaspersky analysts to keep track of threats in real time. It works on multiple operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

Kaspersky’s firewall and intrusion prevention system helps protect workstations and servers from intruders seeking to steal business data. The firewall comes with rules for the most common programs already in place, thus reducing the time required to spend on configuration. The solution helps users protect smartphones and tablets with anti-phishing, jailbreak detection, mobile device management and anti-theft technologies for Android and iOS devices.

Pricing is either monthly or annual licensing. Support is provided via live chat, online forums, knowledge base and phone.

Decent antivirus, but not worth the price due to being very user unfriendly

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Product Quality

Customer Support

Value for Money

Kaspersky is a decent antivirus that will catch most of what you want it to catch, but you'll have to run a malware program in addition to it. You'll also have to get someone to spend a ton of time with this program learning how to use it properly since it isn't user friendly at all. For the money that you'd spend on Kaspersky, there are plenty of better options out there.

Pros

Decent antivirus. While we were using this, we didn't have many issues with widespread infections. So for the most part, it caught what it should catch.

Cons

It didn't catch everything. It did well for the most part, but it still missed a good amount of malware, and because of that, we had to also run a separate anti-malware program.
It was also extremely not user friendly. The learning curve was massive on this software and just wasn't worth the hassle.

best antimalware solution

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Product Quality

Customer Support

Value for Money

if you only need an antimalware solution, this is the best for you.

Pros

It provides centralized administration and reporting. Is configured based on group policies, the user also has a console to run and analyze the system when he wants, although the decision of what to do with the threats is controlled by the group policy, which ensures that nobody can miss a threat by mistake.

Cons

It's a slightly more expensive than its competitors, but it’s worth the extra outlay. When the system is starting you can see a slight slowness, but once the cycle is over, you realize that it never uses more than 50% of the resources of the machine.

In general, this tool is very useful because it helps you to control the equipment from a single point.

Pros

Through the console you can see the status of all your customers, make automated updates and ensure that all the equipment you control is safe, from a single point of control.

Cons

Some tasks are somewhat complex to understand, for which it is convenient to take a course or train at a high level.

Pros

The main factor for us was the live updated that get updated throughout the day. It is nice to not have to worry about having to update security definitions daily or being prompted to do so.

Cons

The cost was a bit higher than other programs with similar features. In the end we went by what other people had reviews on.

Nice product that gives a great protection of your business computing environment.

Pros

Once it is installed properly and configured, it runs well and protects your computer/network environment very nicely. We have used the Kaspersky Endpoint Total Solution for several years now and have been well protected.

Cons

Sometimes, we have issues with the database (signatures) expiring and have to reload the softwared. Fortunately, these have been just a few exceptions to a great product.

The feature list is good, and the performance are very good. The users didn't feel the difference with and without then antivirus.

The detection was fine.

Likes Least

When you disable some feature, you have annoying indication that tell the user to reactivate it. Since it's from the server, it should be all green.

The Mac version is a mess.

Recommendations

Haven't using long enough to be sure, but overall it may be a good option to add to your evaluation list.

The admin software is great tool. It found viruses that I had not found in prior scans with my old software. I was able to confirm that there were no false positives as well. It worked well and the console gave me everything I needed in one place.

Likes Least

Not real fond of the fact that most of the software development is located in Russia. I understand its a global market but it doesn't mean I need to like it.

Recommendations

The user interface and admin console is easy to use and the feature are robust enough to serve most of your needs.

Keeps me safe and protected whenever I am on the internet.

Pros

Kaspersky is easy to use and install ; thus I do not think any user will encounter any obstacles while setting this up. It consumes very low RAM space ,therefore doesn't become a burden for other programs on my pc. It has been my number one way to detect malicious websites for the last three year period and it has been reliable thus far.

Cons

It is very expensive and sometimes can get very irritating with its virus scans ,which always leaves my pc very hot.

Pros

Its up-to-date virus database ensure that it always has a solution to the latest attacks in the market and in case it doesn't has a robust worldwide 'sand-box' feature and labs to allow for external input on issues not only helping come up with solutions but also exchange ideas.
Helps protect from malware and viruses impressively.

Cons

It becomes a bit expensive when dealing with a large organization especially when it comes to renewals. You'd hope that they would give a discount to existing users during renewal but they don't.

Unlike other antivirus software, this one is actually one that helps the systems perform at a smooth pace, it doesn't intervene with its peak performance. Also, it proves that it's always up to date, there's really no need to be downloading updates every week.

Personally, I think it can turn out to be a bit expensive, it has a lot of features but some of them are really not even used.

Apart from free security software programs like Acura ,Kaspersky is the most light weight internet security program I have used.
From experience , it has the highest internet threat discovery rate for me and I have been using Internet security programs ,over a decade.

Cons

Over time ,I have realized that free internet security programs do an equally effective job like their paid counterpart. Thus ,I will say Kaspersky while being the best out there : is way too expensive.

Kaspersky End Point allows me to concentrate on the normal day-to-day operations of the company and normal tech issues, rather than worry about if a virus or malware is going to breach my systems. I am confident that End Point can handle and block anything thrown at it, within reason.

Pros

Ease of use, deployment, management and migration tops my list of pros, next to the supreme level of protection End Point offers my network. Not once has Kaspersky failed to identify and/or eliminate threats when it was properly deployed and configured.

Cons

Sometimes the software can be a bit challenging to configure, but the ability to import/export config files makes that easier to swallow. I don't like all the bad publicity Kaspersky gets for being Russian, but that isn't a con I suppose. The software is great and people shouldn't buy into the hype - and no, I'm not Russian either!

The greatest benefit of this product is the excellent protection of computer equipment and electronic devices.

Pros

What I like most about this program is the protection offered by both the free version and the purchased version. It is an excellent malicious product, trojans, hacks, robberies, etc. Detects other forms of interference in protected equipment.

Cons

What I like the least is the current limitations for the free version. In addition, the costs for licenses in Venezuela are somewhat limited.
