When that happens I’ve had to manually run checks and switch to other servers. - In closing, NordVPN and/or Paddle will not give me either their (1) SERVICE, or (2) MY MONEY BACK. Unless I am refunded or just given service (for what I paid for) back, I will never work with them again. ## NordVPN customer reviews Showing reviews 1-25 of 1,396 (page 1). ### Flexible VPN with Smart TV and Firestick app - Overall rating: 4/5 - Reviewer: Lance C. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Information Technology and Services - Company size: 51-200 employees - Product usage: Used weekly for less than 12 months - Reviewed: April 2026 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros Ability to download app to smart TV, phone, computer, firestick, and other devices. Ability to connect to servers in almost any country. #### Cons App auto-logs out on smart TV and requires a lengthy 2-step verification process to log back in, which is a hassle. --- ### The Best VPN There Is! - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Cameron T. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Financial Services - Company size: 201-500 employees - Product usage: Used daily for less than 2 years - Reviewed: March 2026 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. My overall experience with NordVPN has been outstanding. I am astonished by how well developed of a VPN it is, while also being very user friendly and easy to navigate. The connection speed is instant and I've never had a problem connecting to any country in the world, especially the lesser known countries for example countries in Africa. A great product I wholeheartedly recommend. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros I love that NordVPN is so accessible in many different countries, and within larger countries you can select a more specific city to connect to which makes it a very detailed VPN. The user interface is very user friendly and allows you to navigate the world map and select which country you'd like to connect to, and when you click "connect" the performance is great and the connectivity speed is instant. Once connected it will assign you a anonymised IP address which is great for anonymity. #### Cons I would say the thing I like the least about NordVPN is the high renewal prices for the VPN, especially if you have signed up using a sign up discounted incentive previously. This price hike can be hard to stomach, but I cannot fault NordVPN at all, it has no learning curve and is very user friendly, allowing you to protect yourself online. --- ### Great for Privacy and Security - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Anamaria D. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Design - Company size: Self-Employed - Product usage: Used daily for less than 12 months - Reviewed: November 2022 - Review source details: This review was submitted organically. Even if you don't use it to access local websites it still protects your data and keeps your browsing anonymous. #### Cons The price is higher than other similar tools. #### Reasons for choosing NordVPN Better protection. --- ### Straight forward VPN for a reasonable cost - Overall rating: 4/5 - Reviewer: Bradley W. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Management Consulting - Company size: Self-Employed - Product usage: Used daily for less than 2 years - Reviewed: October 2025 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. Overall I recommend it. Cheap. Easy to use. Comes with validation evidence that it’ll do what it’s supposed to do. Can’t fault it other than speed deteriorating if connected to one server for long periods (days). #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros The ease at which it allows you to connect to a VPN to secure your connection is excellent. The cost is great, but it did take a long time to find the voucher code/subscription combo that gave the best (lowest) monthly cost. Once sorted though, there were no billing issues and the product just works out of the box. The interface is easy to use; just click to connect. I’ve never had to contact customer support, which is a positive as it confirms it’s intuitive design. #### Cons The speed deterioration of connections and VPN blocking by some sites/tools can become a frustration. You have to be constantly mindful that your using VPN, and therefore if an app or website responds unexpectedly, you have ti disconnect and do your work, then reconnect. The new timed paused feature makes this easier. --- ### NordVPN Fast and Reliable - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Verified Reviewer - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Computer & Network Security - Company size: 501-1000 employees - Product usage: Used daily for less than 12 months - Reviewed: May 2026 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros A very intuetive dashboard, connects within 1 second, speed of internet doesn't drop, great value for money #### Cons When you are connected via the VPN it can still be detected The app looks a bit too crowded with features that are not necessarily needed --- ### Superb and reliable VPN which doesn't slow you down - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Will B. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Arts and Crafts - Company size: 2-10 employees - Product usage: Used daily for less than 6 months - Reviewed: January 2026 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. This VPN is advertised widely and supported by a range of brilliant content producers on YouTube, who vouch for its usefulness when travelling abroad or on public wifi. I too enjoy how secure it makes you feel when surfing the web or entering password information. #### Cons The free trial is very useful but it should be made clearer that it is for the yearly subscription. The aggressive discounts also skew the real pricepoint, but I understand this is just a marketing decision. --- ### Great for personal use. - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Peter B. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Hospital & Health Care - Company size: 5001-10000 employees - Product usage: Used monthly for less than 12 months - Reviewed: April 2026 - Review source details: This review was submitted organically. After the initital troubles I set it up and it runs all the time. When I want to access some country VPN for whatever reason I can do it quickly. Overall, it is an OK VPN app but I wouldn't say it is the best there is. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Value for money: 3/5 - Customer support: 2/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros I like the main app screen which directly offers to quick connect to a VPN servers. Also, the main screen offers the option to easily switch server in the selected country but also change it right there and connect to another country. I like the option of encrypted storage. #### Cons The fact it took me two days to set up the app so it works and lets me open pages on my mobile device, I had issues with page loading even though I set up everything according to their knowledge base. Also, the support is fast but don't have a lot of answers except for those that are already available on their pages. I was connected to 5 or 6 agents in 45 minutes until I gave up and managed to solve the issue myself. #### Reasons for switching to NordVPN I got the licence for NordVPN by using Revolut paid plan so I switched even though I like Tunnel better for the basic VPN switching. --- ### My honest opinion about using NordVPN - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Verified Reviewer - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: E-Learning - Company size: Self-Employed - Product usage: Used daily for less than 12 months - Reviewed: May 2024 - Review source details: This review was submitted organically. No incentive was offered #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros First, in my country, there are some websites we normally use to access to gather information like school related lessons on the internet to teach my students which in case I require a vpn service in order to access some of the websites that are blocked. Nordvpn gives me the option to freely access the internet without any restrictions whatsoever. The connection speed is blazingly fast even if the vpn server is located thousand of miles away from my location. Features like kill swtich are useful for me as to prevent me from using VPN service to some of the software that don't require it. I also like the deals of Nordvpn, especially if you considering for buying long-term, you should buy it as it is more worth it than buying short terms like months which you will likely pay more most of the times. #### Cons Sometimes, there are some issues that can surface if I am trying to connect to the server, like connection timeout in the midst of connecting. Some servers require more time than others to be able to connected. I also find the performance to be slow for the first time of opening it. Navigating through the app is okay at best. #### Reasons for switching to NordVPN Nordvpn gave me a killer deal that is way cheaper than expressvpn which is the main reason I switched to it. --- ### Easy to use and adaptive VPN - Overall rating: 4/5 - Reviewer: Hendrik v. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Information Technology and Services - Company size: 2-10 employees - Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years - Reviewed: October 2023 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. We are using this tool from both a security perspective as well as from a network testing perspective. It just works whenever you need it. #### Cons Sometimes when the connection is less stable the tool really doesn’t work at all. I wholeheartedly recommend NordVPN to anyone looking for a reliable and feature-pa #### Cons While NordVPN has given me dependable and safe internet browsing, there were a few features that I didn't particularly like. The sporadic slowdown in connection speed when using particular server locations was one feature that I found a little disappointing. Even while the majority of the servers provided good performance, there were times when I noticed a definite slowdown in browsing speed, particularly when connecting to distant servers. --- ### The VPN service that's featured everywhere and for good reason! - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Sébastien L. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Computer Software - Company size: 11-50 employees - Product usage: Used daily for less than 2 years - Reviewed: February 2019 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. This software has been consistently reliable for my personal use and saved me various times. Once, because of an issue with the cable company, we couldn't watch the Olympics, so we resorted to watch an online stream without any hassle by connecting through another country. Another time, I realized I wasn't getting a fair price when watching the price multiple times for a flight ticket, so I went with NordVPN and compared from different parts of the world to get a better deal. It also happened more than once that I would want to display a website in English, but because of my current location, some websites decide to force the display in that local language. NordVPN was an easy fix in that case as you can choose to appear from almost anywhere in the world! #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros This is a reliable and affordable service. It logs nothing about your activity and allows up to 6 devices to be connected at the same time, which is handy to secure both home and work devices. They have servers in many countries (61 at this time), it can connect with the onion protocol, it is very secure (with AES-256 and double VPN), it can be configured with OpenVPN, it works great with P2P applications, it supports many different platforms (both desktops and mobile), the customer service is quick and efficient. It is frankly easy to set up (I have tried on Mac, Linux, Android and iOS without any issue). They even explain everything transparently in their FAQ and they have clear instructions on how to set the service on practically all types of devices that support VPN. #### Cons There really isn't much to criticize about NordVPN. I did notice that they now have even more applications available for download. There used to be no application available for Linux (even though it was fully supported through other means). Some servers were actually very slow when using my cellular connection, but this can happen with any service and a slowdown is always expected. Since they offer many servers in different countries, I was able to quickly find some servers that work in my current location. --- ### The Only VPN You Will Ever Need for Both Personal & Business Usage - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Brett H. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Entertainment - Company size: 2-10 employees - Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years - Reviewed: May 2022 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. Nord VPN was implemented within our band several years ago after we almost had a serious security data breach that could have leaked all of our passwords, music marketing/production methods, and other personal data regarding our album release plans, merchandise ordering spreadsheets, and booking contacts. With how much personal information we constantly are sifting through and updating, we knew we needed an effective VPN to protect our data as we continue to get bigger, play more shows, and sell more merchandise all across the country. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros We personally love using Nord VPN's internet and website security features to ensure the websites we conduct our marketing, production, and uploading campaigns on are secure and trustworthy enough to receive our login credentials and personal band information. Without Nord VPN we wouldn't know which sites to properly utilize alongside which could be a potential scam risk for our personal data. #### Cons There really aren't any cons to using Nord VPN aside from the price sometimes being a little much for just one device at a time. It would be amazing to see Nord start offering bundle or multiple device option plans so we could get each of our phones, ipods, desktops, and laptops covered under the same Nord VPN plan to hopefully save a few bucks in the long-run. #### Reasons for choosing NordVPN We found it was almost non-negotiable for us to implement an trustworthy VPN provider as our band has grown immensely over the last few years and seriously needed added data protection for the long-term so we could avoid any malicious websites or potential scam encounters. Thank you Nord VPN seriously for giving us the peace of mind and security we've needed and for protecting us for hopefully the long-term moving forward. --- ### The Ultimate Solution for Online Security and Privacy - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Alberto N. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Food & Beverages - Company size: 11-50 employees - Product usage: Used daily for less than 12 months - Reviewed: May 2023 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros NordVPN is an excellent software that offers a wide range of features to ensure online security and privacy. NordVPN has the simplest VPN Software Dashboard (GUI) to use, requiring little to no expertise at all. Their Manual is small and well composed; made for people without much knowledge of VPN's. As a background service it requires little resources on the CPU and its overall speed is unmatched. #### Cons As I am a legitimate user, I have little complaints about this software. It is plainly used to provide more secure connections for banking, email & online purchasing. #### Reasons for switching to NordVPN The main reason I switched to NordVPN was cost. ExpressVPN offered virtually the same for a higher price. We purchased the NordVPN + NordPass and were required to pay 1 year upfront which we did in January 2023. Then in August 2023, I tried to login and it said our subscription ended. I thought that was odd since we paid for 12 months. I contacted customer service. They explained that they had suspended my account (without notice) and will terminate it completely. I asked why that was the case. They responded with a canned statement saying that their automated tools have suspected "web scraping or other activities" that violate their software agreement. Not a tech person here, so I have no idea what that means and became immediately concerned that my account had been breached. I asked them to investigate if the account had in fact been breached and if someone else had my account credentials or suspicious logins through Nord. They responded that they will not refund and the account is suspended indefinitely. Then I asked about the investigation to find out if there was an actual breach and they did not want to investigate. I do not feel security or customer service is top on their priority. I suggest a different VPN service that has a little more transparency. #### Reasons for switching to NordVPN Poor customer service. They refuse to investigate a suspected account breach. ## More reviews [Next reviews](https://www.softwareadvice.com/security/nord-vpn-profile/reviews/?page=2) --- NordVPN Reviews, Pros and Cons - 2026 Software Advice
