Pros/Cons
Pros
- It was very reasonably priced, and it has proven to be such a good tool that I can recommend it to my customers.
- The backup and restore processs are flawless, bare metal recovery are incredible reliable, universal restore works like a charm. Every single feature works very well.
- I like how easy and quick it is to make an image of a computer. I also REALLY like the universal restore feature, this is great for restoring a system on dissimilar hardware.
Cons
- Not having them on site and having to download from the internet can be a pain especially if we needed a quick backup or the lost of data happens before the backup kicks in.
- I do find that the error messages are hard to decipher if/when a backup is unsuccessful.
- Sometimes, when doing cold backup this software does not recognize my external hard drive. There are also times when mounting a backup as a drive takes a few attempts which could be frustrating.
Pros
- Great application that has reliably backed up all user data and is easy to recover to any point in time.
- Reliable backup with great pricing, especially with bundles. We have only had to use a backup once and it worked well and was relatively easy to get the backup.
- CloudAlly is extremely user friendly and provides you with the comfort in knowing your data is being backed up on a daily basis.
Cons
- Seriously, your going to have to pay somehow, either in money or in the loss of privacy.
- Once I had a payment problem (expired card) and I didn't get a notification to change the card on the site. The backup remained active the entire time I was unable to pay.
- Sometimes emails which are deleted between periods of backup are missed.
