Breeze is a web-based church management solution catering to the needs of small and midsize churches across the United States. Breeze provides an interactive interface to access member details, communicate with members, track donations and giving, manage volunteers, build reports and more. Breeze allows churches to categorize contacts into members, guests, volunteers and staff.

Breeze allows churches to track contributions made by guests and members. Using this functionality, users can monitor the contributions of donors, and generate giving reports based upon a donor’s giving history. The system is completely customizable, and users can update custom fields, as well as import existing data.

Additionally, Breeze features an event management module created to track attendance, generate reports, and more. Users can use Breeze to print name tags for event attendees and can analyze event attendance. The bulk communication feature allows church volunteers to send event information to individuals and groups via bulk emails and text messages. Other features include contribution reports, QuickBooks and MailChimp integration and access restrictions.

Contributions won't stop!

It was easy to use to set up contributions and the colors of the website are nice so that was enjoyable.

Cons

For five months, have tried to get my auto contributions stopped including assistance from Cornerstone Church in Anchorage, Alaska but every month my credit card gets debited and I have to contact the church staff to get a refund (we no longer attend Cornerstone).

We use it for a lot of document related tasks, which often means working on large monitors. The UI doesn't scale with your browser window, so things are often at the extreme sides of the screen. Great for some basic project management, haven't found it the easiest to scale for very large projects.

Pros

- Easy to use and learn
- Clear, definable sections
- Integrates well with other tools used for more immediate messaging (like Slack)
- Great for when you need straightforward task management

Cons

- Activity can get a little blurry, especially with large teams
- Filters don't always show every relevant task when selected
- The Progress charts don't seem like they'll be useful for most

Pros

Great customer support and staff, easy to search for help and tutorials. Cost for our church budget was not prohibitive.

Cons

Reporting tools are a little awkward, Ned to transfer to excel to create and search for some data. No print key, must use Cyril P to print docs.

Pros

I love the ability to check-in/out children and take attendance with ease and with label printers. I love the ability to track giving and also graph attendance and giving through periods of time. I love the customer support that responds within minutes if not immediately. I love the photo integration, quick searches, filters and tags available, and I LOVE the cost!

Cons

The volunteer scheduling section is a bit clunky. It works but there are elements that need to be developed more in order for it to be a robust product in this section.

In general we love the program. It's a great first step into web based data management at a every economical cost.

Pros

The cost, web based so all the staff can use it and also the congregation can use it as a data base, update their own information, and also see their contributions.
Very easy to use with great online tutorials.
User support, when needed, is very quick and helpful.

Cons

Taking attendance is calendar based and if you have a very large church, it's a little tedious.
It won't easily integrate with our website calendar because all the slides on our website are also calendar based.

This program works great for contributions, online and text to give, emailing and texting members-all things we were looking for.

Pros

We choose this software because of the reviews and the price. We were able to implement it quickly. Any questions we had were addressed and answered quickly and personally. It is very easy to use and has most of the features we were looking for.

Cons

We wanted a place to post volunteers schedules on a page, like a word doc. That was not available. We would have had to fill out a whole calendar each month. We are posting our volunteer schedule on our website instead.

I would highly recommend Breeze to any small to mid-size churches. Larger churches have needs that currently outreach the capabilities of Breeze, but I believe they aren't targeting the larger church market yet so they are doing exactly what they set out to do.

Pros

We were up and running within a few minutes of purchasing the software. Granted we are a small church so we had a limited number of custom field needs, but the configuration was self-explanatory. The help documents cover everything I've ever had questions about. And configuring forms to receive payments took minutes. I've never done a task in Breeze that was difficult to understand or implement.

Cons

I have limited experience with other other church management software tools, but my guess is that this one isn't quite as fully featured as some other tools. But they add new features often and they listen to feedback from users. This tool doesn't encourage collaboration between church members like some others claim to do, but we didn't need that so it hasn't been an issue for us.

Pros

The program and the service as a whole are amazing! The program is economical, but certainly not cheap. It has all the amazing features and then some, and it's perfect for any budget. The customer service is phenomenal. There has yet to be a time when I couldn't be helped. There are just some amazing people here who have made it their life's work to help those of us in church management, simplify our work. Amen to that!

For the price, the features and the convenience of this software are really amazing.

Pros

Breeze was super easy to set up. The time to get up and running was minimal. The software feels very response and quick. We were able to input and test with our volunteers in just a couple of days.

Cons

There's not much to dislike about Breeze. We've had no complaints at all. I think contacts were automatically added with maps to home addresses. But this was simple to remove.

I like how this is a web based software so I can access my account anywhere without having to download anything. I also like how it pulls up the information quickly. It is displayed in a clean, orderly, and intuitive way so there wasn't much of a need for software training.

Cons

I wish the display name displayed the First, Last, and Nickname rather than just the nickname and last name when the nickname field is used.

I wish it could also display a middle initial. It would be helpful when there are people with the same first and last name.

I like that it's very easy to use and to input the volunteers, email, and notify certain people about certain events. It's also good to use in keeping a database.

Cons

It could use more features on planning, scheduling, and also in coordinating different events. Check-ins are not as useful for our church or even for larger churches. It would be nice to be able to plan whole events down to the schedule of these events on Breeze.

From the start, Breeze staff has responded to questions and concerns with kindness and in a timely fashion.

Cons

We had to work out a couple of issues in the beginning, concerning the working of PC's to Apple. I am happy to report these have been resolved.

Great customer support. This is set up well to search for an answer as well as the access to a person to get a quick answer is very helpful!

Cons

We have various leaders of areas of ministry at our church that do not need to send information to large groups of people, but to smaller groups. I wish we could in a much more user-friendly way create a leader with access to send information to a much-smaller group. Kind of a complicated request, but something that affects our organization a good amount.

My review is not negative, but are requirements are very unique. Most churches will find this software perfect, and friendly for its staff to use. The pricing is good value.

Pros

The software is very intuitive, and has an easy learning curve. The search functions are excellent.

Cons

It runs a little slow, but our church has thousands of members. There were some report functions that were not available, but should not be a deal breaker and most churches.

Breeze has opened the communication highway for our congregation and staff, with very little training. Breeze Help response and quality is available for all users and answers most of their questions without having to contact me (Data Coordinator).

Because members can update their own records and search easily for other members - and map their locations, send emails and text right from Breeze, they love it and our data is more real-time accurate.

Our ministries are stronger, because they can trust the data in Breeze, which is easily accessed anywhere, anytime.

Pros

Breeze is very easy. Very little training is needed for staff. Members are currently using it for communication with each other and registering for calendar events easily. They will be continue to use more of Breeze's capabilities.
Breeze continues to update the software automatically, for free with no down time.
Help documentation is extremely helpful, many times with short videos, which are so helpful!
Help documents are easy to email to users if needed. They really like this.
Documentation is continually updated with new features.

About 1/2 our congregation of 300 are using Breeze. Very few of these have had questions about usage. It is USER FRIENDLY.


Cons

I know Breeze is constantly working on user wishes. My major wish would be an easy way to visualize security Roles for comparison, updating and accuracy.

I have used several other Church Management Systems and Breeze is the best yet. The product is really easy to learn and you are able to quickly get up and running. I believe it is also affordable. We are a church plant and have to seriously watch our budget and this product fits well into our environment. The feature set is also very rich!

Pros

Ease of use, affordability, feature set. I had a couple of questions for customer service and the response time and knowledge were excellent.

I have not run into any cons with this product.

This tools was a game-changer in our communication. We are able to hold all the data we need, and then communicate to only the specific people we need for each communication by filtering people. I can't believe how helpful this tool has been!

Pros

*Allows texting to people right from the database, so you can send a mail-merge style text to any tag, group, or filtered option.
*Allows online payments/donations at a low credit card processing rate.
*Allows the ability to organize volunteers to RSVP for events by email or event text. Makes volunteer management super easy.
*Allows data to be collected by forms. I can create an form questions I want/need. Very handy!
*Allows as many profile fields I need and I can create any type of question.
*Connects to Mailchimp with sync, so our list are no longer mis-matched.
*Allows endless amounts of data tagging. So we can add any piece of information to any contact.
*Tons of user level options allows different levels of visibility and edit-ability. There is even a directory option so it can be set up so each contact can log-in and see certain profile fields.
*Online check-in is helpful for attendance tracking.

Cons

*Someone needs to know a little about database structures to set-it up. (You don't need to know programming, but comfortable in how data moves and functions in databases).
*The form data is not saved as an unalterable .pdf, so it is hard to use the form feature as an online legal document since the data is alterable after being submitted. I would love to use forms as a permission form, but since that requires a legal electronic signature, our legal advisor says we can use it for that since it doesn't covert the data to a permanent/ unalterable .pdf. So we have to use another tool for online legal documents that doesn't sync with Breeze.
*There is a feature to group people by family, but there isn't a "Family" sub-category of contacts in the database. So what would be nice is if a "Family" could hold the common info for the family such as household address, phone number, etc, rather than each contact having that information repeated. There are some things a family has in common, such as an address.

Created parish directory with pictures that allows every member to easily log in and keep information up to date.
Keeps track of all contributions and generates easy to read statements.
Manages all our receivables and works well with Quickbooks online.
Tagged members so we know who is on what committees
Created new profile fields so we can keep track of various sub groups of parishioners and can easily email or text them based on our custom filters.
For people who do not wish to use Breeze because of their lack of computer experience, it is easy to download lists (contributions, people's profiles, etc) into Excel.
Amazingly response help - with videos, good community help with lots of Breeze users ready to help based on their experience, and the Breeze staff themselves are responsive and will stick with you until your question has been answered.
We love Breeze!

Easy to use, great customer service, very affordable, they're very open to suggestions for updates and improvements and are constantly releasing new features

I think we are using all the options in breeze from online and text to give, to texting groups. Just finished our first event. I'd like to see a for people to make a payment for an event and show an amount still due. I had to that by hand but it was doable. Just loving it all.

Pros

We've been using breeze for a very short time but I am loving how easy it is to teach all the staff. The training videos cover everything. I can't say enough about how quick support is as well. I think we made a great choice. Love the custom fields, reports, search engine is wonderful. I can't say enough :)

Cons

I'd like to do more in events where I can have people pay a down payment and show a balance due. Other then that I haven't found anything else yet.

Breeze is helping us to recognize our back door and keep up to date with our people. It has been a great tool.

Pros

Good middle ground software that allows us as a smaller church do all the things we need to, but is not so complicated that no one knows how to use it. Great customer support.

Cons

I think that the events feature/calendar could be developed a bit more to assist with calendar scheduling as well... so you do not over book. It would help, because we need to use two calendar programs to make things function correctly.

We are able to create a lot of accountability among our team members. We are to meet the needs of our growing congregation in a team ministry effort. We are able to employ more people in the daily activities of ministry.

Pros

We are able to easily add users who find the process very easy to use and understand. The training time for individual users is very minimal.

Cons

Any of those concerns have been fixed. When we have had concerns or suggestions the company corrected or added the features in a short time span.

The ability to train volunteers in a short amount of time has been incredibly valuable. This time savings is hard to calculate, but certainly a felt win for our team. This company understands churches and our goals, and has created a tailor made product for them.

Pros

Breeze takes complicated database nomenclature and structure and presents it in a intuitive and easy to use platform. It is easy to train volunteers on, even "non-tech" individuals. The platform has grown continually in function and ease of use, and all without increasing the price. It blends well with other platforms, the api is available and we have used it in several ways to make our ministry much more efficiant. To name a few, our event sign up through our website, our book keeping through Quickbooks, and several others.

Cons

I have had no issues with the software. If there is something that is missing for you, start a conversation with the team and they will HEAR you! Our experience has been that when we bring up functions that we are looking for or a problem we are trying to solve, they have been extremely responsive.

Breeze is fantastic! I highly recommend it! They generally have good customer service, are inexpensive, easy to use, and they get the job done well! I've worked with several other church management software systems, and Breeze is the best I've encountered!

Pros

I love how easy it is to use. It has broad functionality via a simple platform.
I love how easy it is to contact groups of people via text or e-mail using this platform. It also has the easiest ministry volunteer scheduling feature I've encountered.

Cons

It lacks some of the breadth of functionality that some of the more complicated softwares have.

We have hooked all our thermostats up to the calendar in breeze through the 3rd party extension to heat & cool our buildings more efficiently!

Pros

We love the ease of use. All staff feels comfortable running reports... scheduling rooms... accessing data. So different from our last software where 2 people were experts and all others had to go to them for the data they needed.

Cons

That the check in system doesn't work from any android device. That printer must be attached to a computer to work. We don't use it for name tags because we don't have computers that could be left in the learning center.

Breeze's ease of use has re-engaged members of our church who had stopped using needlessly complicated church software solutions we already had in place. Our staff is also very willing to learn Breeze because it works so well.

Pros

The simplicity and intuitive design make Breeze the best church software I've used in 30+ years of ministry.

Cons

There are a few missing features, e.g., Calendar: request process and Room setup, Forms: multiple people registration on a single form (that tie to each person's personal record). With the help of an outstanding tech support team, we've found good workarounds on most all weaknesses.
