Verizon Connect Reveal Software


 

Verizon Connect Reveal is a cloud-based fleet management solution suitable for small and mid-sized companies. Users can view all drivers on a map and automatically detect their behavior such as harsh braking, quick starts, hard corning and other vehicle misuses. The solution sends real-time push alerts to notify dispatchers and supervisors of dangerous driver behavior. It provides a dynamic map view of drivers so that dispatchers are able to quote arrival time to customers.

Verizon Connect Reveal provides mobile apps for iOS and Android devices for drivers to track their own performance through a smartphone. Once drivers log in, they can view nearby company vehicles and receive their assignment. The Today view shows them what stops are scheduled and a scorecard to see how they compare with other drivers using metrics such as the number of stops, idling and speeding. The mobile app provides turn-by-turn navigation through Google maps. 

Verizon Connect Reveal is recommended to companies that rely on their fleet on a day-to-day basis.

the boss over at Verizon connect said he is sorry for our loss of the motor but he can only reimburse and let me out of the contract .
we paid for this monitoring system for a reason not to hear he is sorry his people did not turn it on. unacceptable

The pros was supposed to be that the system worked and gave alerts when the engine light comes on but the system was inoperable due to Verizon not turning it on so we never had it working it didn't work was supposed to work and monitor the motor

Sales person told me that I had two options for equipment. The first was a plug N play device with only a few features. The second was a hard wired devise with more functionality. I opted for the hard wired device. Installed them in my trucks and began to load data in the interface. Report, alert, and maintenance options were missing. I called my service rep and he says that doesn't sound right and he will get it fixed but his computer is broke. Never heard back. Called the original sales person and she says that it doesn't sound right and she will get it taken care of. Never heard back. Two weeks go by and I get a call from a new customer care agent and explain the situation to him. He says that doesn't sound right and he will look into it. He comes back and says that I signed a contract for Reveal Now platform and its their low end product. I said no I was quoted the upper end product and I have the hard wired equipment. This was a total bait and switch. And they were willing to let me out of my contract if I would pay them the full balance.
DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. THERE ARE NO GOOD REVIEWS. wish I would have read reviews first

Nothing. Nothing but lies from the first phone call. Have never dealt with a company this deceptive in my life.

Cons

The software lost our data on our routes, we requested help ,did not get any. This company is the worst company we have ever dealt with. We called customer support ,which is in California, three hours behind us, it took at least a day to get a reply, then the man with the answers is located in Italy which takes days for an answer . If a company has a problem with there routes, you can not wait days. This company has a lot of problems. We requested all our money back, we paid a year in advance, guest what, they have not replied. It has been 3 months

There are none. They take your money and customer support is non existent. They want all the money going there way and have not given us a refund

No customer support, once they get your money the customer support is non existent. We would install our routes on there maps, we would loose a complete route ,then that would take 6 hour to reinstall. this software is not good and customer support is just not there.

worse company service ever. asked to get more trackers. the company rep suggested that I start down sizing and cancelling trackers. I of course agreed , she said she would start taking them off as they were out of contract... great until the last four came out of contract , then refused to honor what the rep suggested. they have called me a liar, threatened to report me to a credit agency, when they continue to steal my money every month. taking from my checking account. all of a sudden they need 60days written notice, but didn't need anything in writing when they took the first 4 off. they are con artiest and thieves

Run away! Use someone else, anyone else!

We liked Fleetmatics well enough but Verizon is beyond horrible. We are currently looking at how to get out of the contract we had as the service we pay for is not being provided even remotely. Find someone else, anyone else.... the Big Corporate Attitude is alive and well with Verizon and they just don't seem to care about the customer.

GPS units are really good for machines that may sit in 1 position but are not truly 'idle' as the engine is engaged; fairly easy to navigate the dashboard

Cons

It doesn't work! The system is glitchy and all customer service does it ping the unit and say "there are intermittent glitches that should be expected". Despite telling them a list of units have been faulty for some time, they just tell us everything is fine and we just need to deal with it. Which brings us to the next problem - customer service is HORRIBLE. They are impossible to get a hold of, don't answer questions and just flat out deny anything is wrong. We even tried our new sales rep and he refuses to respond to any emails despite numerous attempts over the last month to correct issues. Managers are no better - they really do not seem to care.

Pros

Simple platform, easy to use if you get them to provide training. Can use for day to day routing and scenario modeling.

Cons

Product is not bad, the company and people are the problem. They sell you the product and then charge for every minute of support. My company had to manage their upgrade to schedule 8. The project manager, developer, and product manager were completely disorganized. Not to mention the sales executive assigned to our account couldn't give two S's about our success.

We love the live map feature and many of the reports - so long as everything is working properly in the system.

Customer Service is absolutely horrible. We have been with Fleetmatics for close to 4 years now. Often times, I have the solutions to the issues long before anyone at Fleetmatics does since I have been working with the product much longer than the majority of customer service. I feel like I should be on their payroll. Currently, they are refusing to reactivate a unit in our system even though THEY are the ones who made an error and swapped the unit with a different unit on their end. We have not been able to "see" this truck on our map in well over a month. We have experienced a complete lack of service, our account rep only addresses what she wants to, my emails regarding trouble tickets go answered for several days, weeks, and lately we've even had a few cases that have been opened for months. As far as calling in for help, don't waste your time. I've sat on hold for well over an hour and refuse to call them now. It's sad that this company has zero loyalty to their clients that have stuck by their side as they've grown through the past few years. As of this morning, it has taken our Safety Department an hour or better just to get the live map to come up on our computers however, every single other program we utilize is working just fine.

Constant problems with cell tower only reception, never accurate in remote locationserver. Huge time stink for my drivers trying to earn a living. Plus, I get endless complaint calls from them, I've lost 3 good drivers in six weeks.

A customer service person told me they have so many problems with this product that developed a new product. They actually started over and never said a word to their PAYING CUSTOMERS that they have a better product. Verizon I really expected something better from you.
Not one thing about this product is good. It does not work correctly or consistently. One day it works and the next day it won't connect to the truck. I have 1 driver that is logged on duty Dec 12th, 2017 and on Feb 2, 2018, he is still showing violations day in and day out.

Cons

Just stay away from it. You won't be happy It will not work consistently. Customer service and tech help can't even help with issues.

We use the program to track our six trucks. It is simple to use and straight forward. The real time updates are helpful.

Cons

Occasionally the web pages don't update very quickly. I also found that it was not easy to tag locations that are used regularly. (ie employee homes and suppliers). It would be nice if you could set it up to flag whenever trucks were certain places, or when they were travelling at certain times.

I love that I can access my druver's routes from not only my desktop or laptop, but my phone, as well. Once you get the hang of how the softwate works, it's pretty easy to use and gives me the ability to offer reliable ETA's to my customers, while giving me piece of mind knowing where our fleet is at all times.

Cons

It does take some time to get used to, each truck must have it's own unit (Which is expected, however, it is something you have to remember whenever selling or buying an addition to your fleet)

Cons

Everything else. No customer service, and NO ONE at Verizon really cares. You purchased a product through Verizon Fleetmatics, then they decide not to support that program any longer. No warnings, nothing! Unable to get the training you need for the new system. Sales Rep schedules a online training session and forgets to show up.

I have not had a problem with the 'software' my biggest issue is with 'hardware' had to replace a tracker and I am 4 trackers later and still don't have a working tracker for 1 particular vehicle although customer support has been very helpful, installation process has been quite aggravating.

Pros

The software is very good and relatively easy to use, very simple system.

I sometimes experience very slow load times and there is a delay sometimes that makes tracking a little off with timelines.

We utilize this software for GPS tracking on our company vehicles. Since our employees are all over the place, it is crucial that we are able to see where they were and how long they were there. It helps with time clocks as well as ensuring productivity.
Lots of different report options. You can learn a lot about your fleet's daily activities with this product.

Cons

Editing geofence areas can sometimes be finnicky. Also, the search function can be finnicky as well. You can't just type in one word of the entire name of the place, it has to be the exact words in the correct order or it won't find it.

REVEAL has allowed us to cut costs with "emergency service orders" by giving us information on the location of employees in the field. With this feature, we are able to find the closest worker to the homeowner, and then send them to fix the problem. This solution is much quicker than calling each of them individually and trying to pinpoint where they are in reference to the homeowner.

Pros

The live map function to view where your team is in real time is my favorite part of the GPS software.

Cons

The program itself is a bit harder to navigate in terms of looking for reports on certain situations. For example: to run a report for Speeding over the last week is an easy button to get your report, but to find the speeding for one vehicle over the course of a few weeks is a much harder task to accomplish.

I use this software to run reports and analyze fleet activity for one of the business groups I monitor. The reports that are generated from this software is very useful and detailed. You can get about anything you want, and if you can't find it already on the list you can sign your own reports. Very useful!

Satisfied, but not WOW'ed

Pros

Location tracking for assets as valuable as vehicles and trailers is essential for businesses our size, and has proven helpful almost immediately in tracking vehicle history and managing logistics in day to day tasks.

The driving habits they track as well are very informative and beautifully compiled with this software.

Cons

Customer Service has always been spotty and seems to still have issues after being bought by Verizon. Hopefully, these are just complications due to the transition in ownership.he

The Driver ID functionality is not as secure as it sounds, and the driver ID keyfobs are a hassle for companies with many drivers and constant new hires.

Tracking with trailers could also be improved, the struggle I understand as a trailer doesn't have a battery to connect to when not being towed... but we have trailers that are still reporting after 3 years or more and some that have stopped or needed repairs after only a few months. The companies that install the tracking units is outsourced, so this could be why we have noticed so many discrepancies between regions, which also adds unnecessary complications when scheduling installs/repairs.

proof of service is the biggest. Knowing when my guys are at a job site and not having to call all the time asking how they are doing during the day.

Pros

Software is good, reports are really easy to get. I find that the program is better than the other service that we use.

Cons

I find that it has holes when it comes to making a report for equipment that may have visited at property.

We were able to implement this into our system to comply with federal regulations.

Pros

The software is fairly easy to use, there is a bit of a learning curve but all of our drivers have been able to make the transition over to ELDs fairly easily.

Cons

Sometimes a driver may forget to log off correctly and might get stuck in driving mode, this can really screw up the log as you can not really edit driving time.

The interface is very functional. We now have 8 vehicles on GPS at all times, in our business many times you'll need to drop everything and find help. The GPS allows us to our closet tech in the area. The Geofences also allow us to see how often we visit our favorite vendors which has provided essential info on our decision to begin stocking inventory.

Cons

The alerts are pretty unclear when there is an incident. Our drivers tend to give a bit on push back on their weekly driving score. If there was a bit of definition behind "hard braking or "quick starts" I think that would go a long way.

Pros

Nothing about this software makes me happy. It would probably be ok if there were not the abundance of horrific customer service and total lack of regard for clients.

Cons

Customer service is terrible. Sales is worse. So tired of being lied to and shipped off to someone else to handle the problems that never get handled.

Cons

poor customer service. I have ordered several plug and play units and each time they send me a hard wired unit. Why sell plug n play if you can't get one to me?

Allows me to spend less time on fleet management and more time on other duties. Allows for driver accountability. Before we used manual logs to write in mileage. There were many gaps. Vehicles would be driven 100s of miles with no documentation of where they had been. We were also able to identify dangerous driving habits (90+ mph with a vehicle load of students!). We use it to provide dynamic routing to pickup students that have had their off-site schedule change. Finally, I have a good handle on maintenance and vehicles are serviced on time, because I can plan ahead. We even use it to track car washings. Training is great, customer service has always help me out in that regard.

Cons

There is no way to easily display current mileage. You must go into the edit vehicle function to display current mileage. There is no way to display the mileage of the vehicle during a trip. It will display the mileage traveled during the trip but not the actual vehicle odometer reading. Not a huge deal, but there are times where it might be useful (forgot to write down mileage of service that I performed in-house). Calculated mileage will drift over time, sometimes by a few hundred miles, so you should be adjusting about once a month by comparing actual vehicle mileage with program calculated. Add a driver as user is challenging if driver is not defined as a user first. Customer service is usual great, but it took me almost a month to get additional fobs last time.
