Established by home care professionals, AxisCare Home Care Software provides a system designed with the workflow of a private duty agency in mind. AxisCare provides a scheduling software solution that features a GPS Mobile App, automatic invoicing, billing and payroll integrations, custom forms, reporting, and more.

AxisCare can be used on any web browser and any operating system, even on phones and tablets. Within the system, the telephony tool enables caregivers to check in and out from a client's home via cell phone or the client's home phone. Notifications are available via email and text; the system can send a notification if a caregiver is running late, helping to maximize communication between the caregiver and the office.

Additionally, the marketing module can integrate with most popular email providers (Google, Apple, Outlook), and the scheduling module offers real-time calendars that alert users of things like double appointment bookings and caregiver overtime. Cons

The customer service can be a little slow at times and often misses our calls. However, they do call back if you leave a message.

I would like the recommended caregivers screen to be more like the Legacy option. I would also like to see who the assigned caregivers were on removed shifts.

Pros

I like the ability to navigate easily when scheduling and the options it offers. I like the added ability to click and drag and being able to see removed shifts. Color options are great!!

Cons

I don't care for having to choose a reason every time you make a simple change with calendar. It's too many "saves" to make a change. Although I have figured it out, I found when training the "start" date and the "effective " date can be confusing.

Pros

The software has an easy flow to it, I like that you can arrow back to the client or caregiver that you were working on if you get another call.

Cons

I do not like "verify schedule" since it has been updated, you have to go in and refresh after each change.

Best option to run my office!

I would like to have the options to update many calendar start and end hours because sometimes schedules change and I have to do it 1 by 1. I would like to be able to make queries and download reports that can be imported to my specific accounting system (Mexico).

Pros

Easy to use across all platforms. Allows staff, clients and providers to keep updated about any schedule change. New features of the calendar are great! it is easy to use and very fast to update and change providers and scheduled hours.

Cons

Cannot move a calendar schedule in mobile platform from one date to another. The AVD that has to be filled by the providers everyday could be improved to be more friendly with mobile platforms. Can't use the SMS notifications with Mexican numbers. The Daylight Saving is not the same in all countries, and can't be configured differently.

Love it, especially the customer service. Our case manager still uses her little ipad to use AxisCare. She deserves to win this laptop for her office. Not only is she great, she is on her second career at age 72 and works because she loves the people she can help through Grace Care.

Love it's integration. The ease of data entry is appreciated and the way one thing connects to another is great.

Cons

Changing data once it is in. I find it a little difficult that we can not remove an entry especially if it was done in error.

don't like the scheduling aspect, we have to click back and forth between caregiver and client, , don't like the maps it is a straight shot thru trees rivers, instead of actual mileage, and I don't care for the new verify option, telephony is not on the new verify option. Also too many clicks

It has been positive experience. Of course, one could wish for improvements here and there. Overall, it's been a great tool and I smile when I even see my competition adopting it. Must be effective.

Pros

It's organized features. Especially with scheduling caregivers along with compiling notes for audits and reviews.

Cons

Wished it would save in real time when edits are made instead of hitting save when you wish to complete an edit. There have been times after a long note was taken that something happened with my computer, internet, or the site and everything was gone without being saved.

This is the best scheduling software around. The features are execellent and Customer Support is awesome. Whenever an issue may come up, we have contacted Customer support and they are immediately there to help. If support isn't sure how to handle the issue they will research it and get back with us. They have always gotten back to us in a timely manner and resolve the issue when they do.
The software is easy to work with. Once we got used to using all the features we were able to set up schedules, assessments, plan of care, billing and payroll. It is an all in one software which is compatible with Quickbooks. The billing software is also compatible with third payer software once everything is set up.

Pros

Compatibility with other software programs we use. Ability to take a prospective client or employee and convert into a actual client/employee. Alerts for scheduling errors, unscheduled shifts, client/employee birthdays, alerts for employee's requirements (Valid DL, Auto Ins, First Aid, Professional License), and alerts when an employee doesn't clock in for a shift.

Cons

Learning to use the software in the beginning but with the assistance with Customer support we were able to become masters of it. Now when we have to call customer support it is usually because of an error we have made ourself, which they can fix that also on their end. Or just a call to tell them we miss talking with them :)

Advice to Others

Easy to use once you have worked with the software. Does everything they have advertise it to do. AxisCare is always seeing ways to improve the software and even give you the choice to switch to new or stay with old.

The support staff is wonderful. They listen to concerns and suggestions and have made changes to help the product be better suited for our needs.

There are some features I would like to see. I would like this to be a fully functioning EMR. I would like more flexibilit and options when creating care plans and face pages

We started off with just 2 clients, we learned a lot, then we kept adding more clients on, each and every month. The entire experience was awesome!

Pros

Price & Capabilities.... the software does more than we need. The affordable solution was the hook but again the capabilities set it apart from everyone else!

Cons

Seriously, can't really comment on this, there simply is nothing to say. Even when our team neglected to understand a function, the company customer service was great! In fact, Sydney and Lauren are my 'go to girls' at AxisCare... not too many companies can be that focused, we love it!

Advice to Others

No, I would encourage you to check it out, they not only know their stuff, but they eventually become 'partners' - and if you're in the non-medical home care business, that's exactly what you need to be successful.

I have been looking for a software program that would fit our Elderly Care Service. Axis Care has done that. It runs so smoothly and provides all the services I would need. I have tried other softwares, but Axis Care has by far been the best software yet. Highly recommend.

Pros

Online applications that go directly in profiles. Ap for caregivers to sign in and out of clients homes. The invoice feature is wonderful to work with QuickBooks. I love that with a click of a button I can create, change schedules and create profiles to run our business more efficiently.

Cons

Maybe the only change, at which they are working on, the online application for caregivers to provide more information to go over to profile. Right now I have to manually imput, not a big deal just would save time for office.

Advice to Others

Be patient, print off training pages to refer to in future. Give it time to meet the needs of your company. I love this product.

The staff is knowledgeable. The transition from our old database went quickly and smoothly. The staff will train new employees for no extra charge. They were upfront with the pricing.

Pros

Very easy software to learn and use. New coordinators are able to learn the software quickly. The cost is very low compared to competitors. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Cons

Hours of operation. I am on the East Coast and I believe they are in Texas, so there are times in the morning that they are hard to reach.

Analyze cost/value. This software gives you high value at a lower cost.

We have had AxisCare for several years. We have had a very pleasant experience and always recommend AxisCare to other agencies that are in need or unhappy with their current scheduling provider.

Pros

We love all the little features besides the scheduling side that applies to our Caregivers. For example, clocking in and out, online schedules available, online case notes, assessments, and ADL's available for Caregivers. Notifications for a failed clock in/out. We LOVE these features!

Cons

Sometimes there will be software glitches - When you click on a particular client, it will take you to another client so you have to start over at times. It's absolutely manageable but it does happen often.

Advice to Others

We are really hopeful for an app for office use in the future!

It is very user friendly and easy to navigate through the system. I like the instant update capability. It is nice to have great customer service support and if I have a suggestion, they are always open to see if it is a doable request.

AxisCare is a very user friendly program that we use for staffing, hiring, marketing, and managing our day to day business. AxisCare has great features that allow us to reach out to our caregivers, clients,contacts and referral sources efficiently. The only con for me personally is that I have not taken the time to understand all the new features and updates. The program is great for small and large offices.

Since we have been using Axis Care, it has greatly reduced the amount of time it takes to do scheduling, payroll, and billing. It has great integration with our accounting software, and just a few clicks is all it takes to get invoices and payroll generated. Since time is money, Axis care makes us money because it saves so much time.
