It is very easy to use and maintain as a user and as an administrator. Low cost product but then you get what you pay for.

Cons

There is no test environment and when Lever pushes out changes it seems to break other things. The level of customer service support is sub-optimal.

Pros

The question is what isn't there to like about Lever? From Customer Service to ease of use, to onboarding managers and down to metrics, everything is easy to use, easy to access, easy to share, etc... Every time we have an issue, we are guaranteed to have it fixed quickly and correctly. And they were always just so positive. I have used multiple ATSs before and this one is by far my favorite. Within the first day, I was able to accomplish more than with the system that company had implemented prior to my arrival.

Cons

There is literally nothing that we don't like about the product. It will be a real hard sell to get us to leave.

It is not as customizable as we thought it would be. As we were going through the integration we were able to see many things we need to change to make it work with our process.

Lever is easy to use and mobile friendly our company loves the UI especially our Head of Engineering. Love that there is a seamless integration with google suite.

Cons

Some features need to be added and would love to have more integration options. For example our integration with DocuSign. Since we can't change the order of signatures in Lever we currently have to send outside of Lever.

Offers
- adding offer fields should have the same capabilities as adding req fields. Instead of having just a text box option to enter information.
- If we can pull req info into the offer form that would be great. That way offer approvers are able to see that everything that is being offered is within budget since our FP&A likes to keep a close eye on budget.

The Customer Support team has been extremely helpful in providing best practices for our team. Support team has taken time to offer suggestions and consultation to our overall workflows.

Cons

We are not able to extrapolate all of the data necessary for our dashboards/reporting process. We would like to have more options to download spreadsheets and cvs files for our reporting efforts.

The suite helped free a lot of time that otherwise was consumed by admin tasks, specially when hiring sales teams (where you may hire 4+ at a time). Software is very easy to adopt and use. Can't say it's intuitive so take the proper time to configure workflows and links.

Cons

As with all platforms that will work at the core of the business, it requires an initial investment and you will need to train/educate the team that will use the platform thus ensure things run properly. Company local expertise will developed as they use the system.

The system has certainly saved me a LOT of admin time, which I appreciate considering we hired 8 people last month and wouldn't have been able to do that otherwise. Easy to get set up and easy to use. Take the time to get set up properly and use the workflows, i.e. easybook links, to maximise time savings.

Cons

It's an investment up front and obviously have to train the team to get up and running smoothly, but worth the effort and an intuitive interface.

As the only in-house recruiter, Lever (Nurture) has drastically increased my productivity and boosted efficiency. It allows me to reach out to potential candidates at scale and automates a personalized drip campaign of emails to increase the likelihood that they'll want to chat. And as a hiring ATS, it is easy to use and has the majority of the features we need.

Cons

The product can be a bit buggy at times, and there are a few reporting features that I really would like them to add, such as an easy way to show time to hire/time to fill for each role. They show an average which is interesting, but I need specifics. They also don't have a mobile app.

This is a pro and a con - When processing a candidate for a role, it's good to be able to have visibility of what stages they're at with other roles they've applied to. But then it becomes a bit annoying when trying to process them for one role, but having to either decline or progress them for any other roles they've applied for, even if they aren't your roles.

Pros

- I like the way Lever processes candidates (pipeline). It's straightforward to use.
- Great visibility of candidate notes.
- It's fast at updating across the system, good synchronisation.
- I like the way the feedback works between Outlook/hiring managers email.
- New interview feature to show if hiring managers have accepted their interview invitations.
- We like that it integrates with DocuSign and Outlook, and the chrome extension for LinkedIn.
- It's cloud-based so we can log in from anywhere.
- Evan is awesome

Cons

- We can't use bullet points in Offer forms because they don't format correctly in the final contract.
- Formatting of job description (can't do bullet points)
- It's challenging for hiring managers to find the 'approve' button when offer approval emails come through (it's at the bottom of the email and then it's not clear when they open the candidate's profile.
- Could have more use of colour coding.
- Hiring managers keep their access to individual profiles after their jobs have closed (then managers complain about receiving too many notifications)
- There should be multiple Offer forms (for each of our locations for e.g.)

When we screened other ATS vendors, before making the choice to partner with Lever, we sensed that Lever was the best team & had the best product on the market. Now that we've been using Lever for more than 8 months, I am confident it was the best choice, and they've been exceeded our expectations so many times!

Pros

Unlike other ATS that are cluttered / not logical, Lever is simple and makes sense! We've been using it for 8 months now, and our recruiters & hiring teams love it.
From an admin point of view, I also value the great quality of the customer success team, and the implementation teams. They provide almost real-time support, are very efficient, and always friendly!
Finally, the product is constantly evolving, and takes into account our own improvement requests, which feels like we're really partnerring with Lever.

Cons

Almost no access to reporting for recruiters, only 'admin' roles can access reporting, which had lead us to open the role "admin" to more people than what we initially wanted to. But the build-in reports are really useful.
There can be some data inconsistencies when it comes to reporting. Some data don't stock memory of changes, which is a challenge when we want to look deeper into more advanced historical reports.

I've always felt Lever is willing to offer a very high level of support and are open to suggestions.
They works through everything with you and are constantly updating the system and adding new features.

Pros

Extremely easy to learn, maintain and configure from a UX standpoint. Even users with low systems experience can pick it up quickly.
Candidate focused, everything you do is focused on the candidate experience and you interacting with them. This is an exciting move away from req focused ATS systems.

Cons

Reporting is not very customizable.
Offer letter setup is tedious and difficult to make changes with ease.

ATS by far is the best I have used and I have been working in the industry for over 12 years.

Pros

Every time I want to ask a question, the support is always there which is great for me as a user of the system day to day.
I really like the fact that Lever constantly communicates what new feature has been implemented and what I have access to.
It's really allowed me to make informed decisions to the business with the support of the data that is available at your fingertips in Lever.

Cons

To date I have not found anything unhelpful.
The only downside is some of the integrations are not fit for our HR systems.

Pros

I really like the intuitive and straight forward UX. It's easy, as you start to use the software, how to add more levels of features to your daily use and even better how my colleagues can interact efficiently without having to know the system inside out. It's a great product!

Lever provided us with simple solutions to our problems. Candidate tracking and assessment are indeed easier with Lever. It manages resumes and applications sent. It can also schedule interviews and inform the interviewee through email. It does simple tasks but it works. Lever allowed our team to ease the choosing and categorizing process of applicants. It showed us better choices and the management of possible skills we need for our company. It gave us in-depth chances to filter out the applicant our company needs more.

Cons

Lever needs to provide new features and update their current ones. The features need more efficiency and polishing. It seems like Lever needs a more thorough filtering process and filtering options. Our team picks our top 10 applicants from Lever and it would be better if we are really choosing the best.

Lever Hire is a great tool for structuring interviews to make sure interviewers touch upon key subjects, core competencies, etc. As the interviewer, using Level following the interview is super easy and allows for a consistent approach to evaluate candidates and provide feedback to the recruiting team. It has increased efficiency for me following interviews and has cut down on time between interview and the recruiter being able to follow up with the candidate.

Cons

When someone mentions you in a note, it sends an email, but there's not an easy way to respond to the mention. It would be great if the email included a way to respond. Also, I don't think there is a mobile app and having an app would be really useful

It took me very little time to come up to speed with Lever and after only about a week of sporadic use, I felt very comfortable performing all activities within the tool. It provides an incredible platform to connect with our hiring managers, and as an internal recruiter managing a large volume of positions, the real-time communication capabilities are a game changer. I'm a big fan.

- Easy customization

Cons

The agency portal did not allow for as much interactivity with the vendors as we needed, but Lever is already making a change to address this and I am confident it will no longer be an issue.

Overall, my experience on the internal side has been phenomenal and I'm so happy we chose to go with Lever. Highly recommend!

Pros

Lever is incredibly intuitive and easy to use, navigate, and update. As an internal recruiter who is still ramping, it's refreshing having a portal where you know what stage a candidate is in, where they came from (internal, referral, sourced, agency), what role they're interviewing for, and feedback from everyone involved. Also, the "reminder" buttons to nudge interviewers to submit feedback is helpful when you're trying to make decisions on multiple candidates and move through process efficiently.

Cons

One of the major flaws that we're hearing repeatedly is from our agency vendors, who cannot see or track any candidates they submit after they've been submitted. They have no way of knowing who they've already inputted or what their status is, much less gather feedback from our internal teams, without using another way to track it all (which defeats the purpose of an ATS from their side). We've voiced these issues with our Lever rep, who said they've been hearing this complaint often and are working to make changes in this area. Great to know that they actually listen and take feedback to heart.

Fairly feature complete and then some, with features like sending templated emails, interview scheduling, feedback, and metrics about hiring pipeline. Definitely a more modern version compared to other platforms out there, but this is a hard space to really shine.

Cons

There are definitely some quirks that are being ironed out as time goes on (for example, very coarse permissions being replaced by finer grain ones) and there is a decent amount of upfront setup in order to derive value -- but that's true with competitors as well.

Hiring pipeline tracking, referrals and post-interview debriefing amongst the team

Pros

I am not on our HR team, so do not make use of all of the features of Lever - however I do take part in our candidate interview process for potential hires, and part of our process is to debrief with the other interviewers and formalise our feedback in Lever. I found this process to be fairly straightforward and easy to do. I also like that it is possible to see internal job roles that are open in the business, or to refer people from my network that I think would fit well into roles that the business needs.

Cons

As someone who comes in to the app in order to do a very small set of things: Post my comments and hiring recommendations about a potential hire OR browse internal listing to refer someone from my network - the system can feel a little bit crowded with other information. It isn't hard to navigate per se, but it could certainly be more focused on the things that matter to me as a casual user that interacts in order to feed information in to the HR team.

I recommend Lever to every Recruiting team out there.

The ATS was created by developers that understand what Recruiters need and understand how little time we have in our days (the lever chrome extension is such a huge time saver). Managers are not the easiest to convince when it comes to ATS but with Lever and the slack integration it makes it easier to collect feedback without having to chase it.

The staff is great, I was in touch with Spencer who took all the time I needed to explain all the different functions of Lever and then Otto took over for the implementation and although the timeframe I gave them was super short they were right there with me and I felt supported throughout the whole process (migration from another ATS to Lever and setting up our Lever company account).

My team is super happy with this choice and I believe they thank me at least once a day (if not more) for picking Lever over other ATS

Cons

Can't say that I have any cons right now (i've been using Lever since July 2018 and things have been going smoothly)

We save major time using LEVER integration and by design the platform is flexible that can fit to our propitiatory recruitment process that we already have. Furthermore, with the report menu on the apps it allows the recruitment team create analyst, see the bottleneck and comes up with key strategy to improve the process We truly high recommend Lever to all !!

Pros

We had a great implementation experience with Otto, he supper attentive and proactive in checking our understanding each section of the apps and ensure best implementation for our company.

Cons

So far our people team really enjoying the apps

Wrapping up our Lever implementation this week and couldn't be happier! Already so impressed with the functionality and ease of use. The Lever team has been incredibly helpful and made the process of migrating away from Greenhouse so easy. Absolutely recommend.

Cons

Tedious to set up - In the long run, it will be worth it to have this level of customization, but there's a ton of work to be done at the onboarding stage that requires dedicated time.

In addition, the implementation team has been amazing and guide me through every step of the process. We are looking forward to the Leverage Lever will give us on reporting and accountability to our Hiring Managers.

Overall I had a very positive experience during the implementation. I worked with Phil Golding who was always professional and knowledgeable although at times as a client we had some unusual requests which even I who has implemented a few of these in corporate entities, were not expecting from stakeholders.

Pros

The simplicity and logic behind the tool is great as that is exactly what a hiring process should be, simple! The automation of the tool as well makes the process and experience for both the candidate and the hiring community nice and simple.

Cons

When implementing there were some limitations to the code to take the bespoke nature further with our careers site. Although I understand the protection and the team do work closely with the client during an implementation, it would always be helpful to allow more bespoke approaches.

As we have scaled our hiring, Lever has scaled with us. We can successfully manage 50+ different positions, with different interview structures and employee involvment.

Pros

It integrates seamlessly with Gmail and Google calendar, which enables us to successfully schedule interviews and request feedback across the organization.

Cons

The search functionality is not always easy. There is a lot of human error involved in tagging candidates and appropriately updating their profiles to ensure we can find them later as needed.
