Netchex is a cloud-based human resource (HR) and payroll management solution designed for midsize and large enterprises. Key features include recruiting and onboarding management, payroll management, tax compliance, time and attendance management and reporting and analytics.

Netchex offers an applicant tracking system that allows recruiters to define skill requirements for new openings, post job details on various online portals and websites, request applications and run background checks for selected candidates. The payroll feature offers multiple pay options, automated tax reporting and electronic IRS filing services.

With the dedicated self-service portal, Netchex helps employees to view and access their information such as PTO requests, leave balance, benefits and tax withholdings in real time. It offers various time recording options including web-based check-in, manual timesheet entry and integration with biometric devices.

Netchex is available on a pay-as-you-go model, wherein businesses pay a monthly subscription for the number of modules subscribed.

Lacking in honest sales staff and transparency on lack of upgrades to growing companies.

We are a small company experiencing experiential growth. Although Netchex support has been friendly, we find it disappointing that the sales representative made false representations of the contract termination fees and a hidden "auto renewal" feature. Prior to leaving Netchex we inquired about upgrades and additional support we could tap into, however Netchex turned out to be a basic software company that truly lacks knowledge of payroll and Human Resource management skills essential to marry this software properly to its clients. It was only after termination of their services (after 1 year contact was up) that Netchex is now trying to backdoor our company with early termination fees that were expressly voided by our sales representative upfront. We now use a company that stands behind their products & services with a NO CONTRACT options for 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

Pros

Very cost effective if you have a HR department and tech savvy staff. Friendly customer service support.

Cons

1. Dishonest sales staff about contract termination fees. Watch out for "auto renewal" of contract.
2. Customer support was not able to resolve issues immediately or answer simple questions without creating a "ticket". Normal turn around for ticket resolution was 4 to 7 days. Once when we inquired about Insurance support we were notified it would be 2 weeks before someone would reach out.
3. Security upgrades during our contract 2017-2018 that failed to meet the deadline advertised to clients.
4. When inquiring about upgrades for our growing company, none could be offered. Lacks upgrade & tailored support options.

Functionality and having an all in one platform! I like having the ability to not only run payroll but also turn around and post a job and having an applicant tracking system.

Cons

Sales Reps have changed and I have not heard from anyone since rep left but having other reps makes the world of difference. They always take care of me needs or concerns!

Pros

I was very new to payroll and learning with Netchex made me feel very at ease. All payroll needs are available and reporting is right at my fingertips.

Cons

Scheduler has been in need of improvement for some time now. The mobile app also could use some upgrading.

It takes a little getting used to if you are a small business coming from the ADP/Paychex world. Phone support is not the same; you do not call in and hold. Instead, you submit a case and they call you back. Great training videos and step by step guidance so you can learn how to do the work on your own, which is a time saver. Great product for those who do not need handholding and are comfortable entering a payroll on their own. I would not reccomend for someone who calls their payroll in.

Pros

LOTS of features. More robust tracking than ADP for things like start dates, performance reviews, and vacation accruals. Also, can I repeat, I'm saving 80%!!

Cons

We had a bad experience during implementation. It was a bad rep. The VP stepped in to save the day and get our first payroll processed (the data was migrated).

My company used Netflex as its payroll company for over a year. Their website is easy to access and documents are easily located.

Cons

I don't have confidence that Netchex knows the ins and outs of tax issues for every state and locality.

USER FRIENDLY! CAN NOT say that enough.
Customer service is quick, helpful and friendly.
Very customizable.

Cons

None! I honestly do not have a complaint. But if I HAVE to pick something I would say, I am not 100% sure on who I am to contact with an issue. I call in to the main number they look up our company code and get me someone.. not sure if that is the way I am susspose to do it or not. But I still always get someone helpful and get my answers.

Netchex is very easy to use for both managers and employees. I like the freedom the employees have to change their information or set up their account the way they choose.

Cons

I would like to go back in and make changes or be able to "undo" something like a termination - to change the information - without affecting the reporting.

Website is easy to use and navigate, integration with M3 Time Management, lots of reports are available

Cons

Implementation is time consuming on administrator, after 2 months we are still not completely set up so I'm disappointed that the change to Netchex takes so long, NetBenefits is a nightmare. I was not aware that our company would have to do so much work just to change to a new payroll processing company. That has never been my experience before. It was always set up for us after expressing features and settings that we wanted. With Netchex, we as the client, have to do most of the work.

Time and attendance works very well. As a result, payroll runs smoothly (and everyone loves getting paid on time!)

Cons

The Report Publisher is difficult to use. It takes several attempts to get the data I want, and then I usually have to put in in Excel to extract the key pieces.

Our client support team is great! They're helpful and responsive. The onboarding process has been amazing in that it automated how we bring people into our company. The experience has been a significant improvement from how we used to do it. Love having all new hire paperwork completed electronically!

Cons

Updates and rollouts have not gone very well or been communicated well this year. Also, effective dates in the system mean nothing when it comes to payroll -- they're not tied to when deductions go into effect.

The Netchex customer support team is always responsive and friendly. We moved to Netchex after Hurricane Katrina and have not had any issues with payroll getting done. We were able to automate most of the tasks making it easier and saving a ton of time when processing payroll.

Cons

Our company has several varying payroll amounts, which causes us to have to call to switch between small and large payroll funding.

Out of the 3 payroll applications I have used in the last 7 years, this one by far is the most user friendly and has the absolutely best customer service.

Cons

My only wish or concern is that the payroll itself does not currently automatically transfer to our DMS but that will be changed very soon!!!

Netchex is pretty easy to navigate. The staff is very easy to work with and prompt with responses. They listen to our suggestions on how to improve to make things more user friendly. We have really enjoyed using Netchex for several years!!

Pros

Cons

The time clocks that interface with the software have quite a lot of issues. It would be great if the system had more reporting options.

We have been able to move our clients up to date with NetRecruiter and NetGuide. This has helped the stores in overall recruiting process. This has helped them stay current with forms etc. with NetGuide.

Pros

This software is very user friendly. Hiring new hires is self explanatory.

Cons

Is a good platform if all you want to do is run payroll and if you are a single state employer. I didn't get all of the help that I needed from support which is why we ended up cancelling with them.

Pros

It was easy to use for the administrator and when I called for support the wait times were minimal.

Cons

The UX was very outdated and not user friendly for our employees.

Great for seeing our team and how their over time or daily hours are coming in.

Pros

It's nice to be able to check your hours and also if you're in management to see what your team is doing daily. Also nice to have easy access to your I-9 and other important info

the benefits I get from this software are the following: easily to navigate, easy post jobs internally, easy to add benefit information, easy to look as time and attendance issues. etc...

Pros

i like that it's easy to navigate the software and that it's web based I can put the application up on my phone or tablet. I can work from anywhere in the country.

Cons

What i like lease about this Software is the reporting. The reporting should give you more options to work with you should be able to create the reports use information to reference and cross reference things. I just need the reporting to be more advance reporting system.
