With Jira you can make a good management of projects simultaneously obtaining a good performance while streamlining the process and development, keeping the team up to date on all the reports. It also has prices according to your business need.

Pros

It has a good tracking and task assignment management that improves how the equipment is organized and speeds up the productivity. It has a very comfortable interface although at the beginning it needs to know its functions. You can always finish projects correctly and also make a report in case something happens in the development of the project. Also the reports it generates are many more flexible than other softwares.

Cons

The interface despite being updated and be "better, and agile" I think it is the opposite, it was difficult to find the functions that were already clear where they were located. The learning process is a little slow as well as sometimes the load waiting time.

Cons

Need to be very strict with administration as people might change that could impact spaces outside their scope.
Cost for this software is little higher but its still worth working with JIRA.

You can't go wrong with it in general.

Pros

Hegely mature and with a lot of features, flexible, and fits any scenario.
I used it in Scrum scenarios, simple, and complex canban boards, for teams from 3 (served as a team lead and advisor) people to 50 (served on senior management level).

- Cloud vs Hosted features vary little
- Configuration can be daunting
- Training is expensive and long (time consuming, can be simplified).

The software is highly customizable, although you can customize various aspects (workflows, fields, user roles, etc.) as much or as little as you would like. It is very reasonably priced, and Atlassian's support is excellent.

Cons

It can be a bit overwhelming due to how much control you have over the functionality. There is a plethora of online documentation in which you can find the solution to almost any question, but it can be difficult to find the documents you need.

Cons

Does not auto-save work. Also, if several people are working in the same board, you are often accidentally overwriting each others work. Other than that, there is a number of bugs.

Amazing, highly recommended.

Pros

It does it all! Bug tracking, task tracking, release tracking, if you need to track any kind of workflow, especially if you need to break things down into smaller tasks (what company doesn't?), JIRA is the best I've used by far!

Cons

While it is feature packed, it can be a bit more complicated when set up for multiple teams. At my work for example, we have multiple teams using the software, but we struggle to set up different work flows for all the different teams (perhaps this is user error).

The insane amount of features JIRA has is what makes it so useful. The fact you can track and develop out a project from soup to nuts makes it the best out there. We used this to develop an entertainment website and app, and we couldn't have done it without it. The ability to onboard additional team members and create groups around projects was needed.

Cons

The great thing about JIRA is that it has so many project options and management capabilities that it sometimes makes the user interface feel a bit bloated and hard to use. Takes a bit of time to get used to all of the features but once you know how to use it, you're set.

We have drastically improved the smoothness of our process as a whole department. There is now accountability and transparency where before there was none. And it has allowed for a much more efficient existence.

Pros

The breadth of functionality is incredible. The customization features allow for a very personalized workflow for any kind of unit or department. It's so versatile.

Cons

I started using the entire Atlassian suite of tools in my current role and I love it. JIRA makes it so much easier to manage a team using the Agile approach. The main recurring problem for me is that the mobile app can be buggy and it gets in the way of my productivity when this happens. Other than that, the platform does what it needs to do and it manages to have so many features that I'm still not aware of, and yet not overwhelm me with them all. I can use what I need to use and the rest doesn't cause me any bother. Very well executed.

Pros

- Perfect for organizing workflow and springs
- Tons of customization
- Ability to integrate with BitBucket to manage feature/fix/etc branches
- Available online and mobile

Cons

- When editing descriptions and comments, needing to click the apply button can be cumbersome. It would be nice to be able to hit Command + Return on Mac (or Ctrl + Enter on PC) keys to apply the change
- Mobile app has a tendency to crash every now and then without explanation. Sometimes I'm forced to wait till I'm near my laptop to make/review changes

I have been using JIRA for over a decade now. I have been a user, an administrator and I've implemented custom workflows for many different industries. JIRA is very flexible (yet somewhat more complex than it could have been). You can track issues about software development, but you can also track dead lamp posts in your city (you might be a Mayor we never know). I highly recommend it specially for Enterprise and I've tried many different alternatives.

Cons

JIRA is great but if you're too small it might be too much. Some features work in obscure ways but you'll get used to it.
