Pros

The number one pro of Teamwork Projects would have to be the extensive list of integrations and platforms the software is compatible with including Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Drive. In addition, customer service is outstanding.

Cons

I would personally recommend the free version of this product until you are absolutely sure it is right for your team even though the features offered are much more limited,
since the price seems to jump quickly once you transition into a paid subscription.

The bottom line is that we landed on this software. Of all the different options we looked at, it was the most robust in terms of tools, and easiest to use on a day to day basis that didn't intimidate our team.

Pros

Templates for project cards make daily task tracking much easier. Visualization of time spent and reporting is simple and functional.

Cons

The time-tracking ability is sometimes glitchy turning on/off, and doesn't always give an accurate picture for reporting purposes.

Pros

You can have a project with different tasks visible to different parties. You get that instant communication to stakeholders. You can reply to an email and it takes that message back to post to the site for you. They have Gant charts as well which lots of companies use.

Cons

I don't pay the bills on it, but I've been limited because they charge for how many active projects your company is using.

Pros

There are so many great things about TeamWork. I manage a team of about 60 employees on it and over 100 projects at any given time. It allows me to discuss internally and also with clients. It is also a great way to track hours and keep a project on the correct timeline.

Cons

If you are managing a team, it is difficult to see workloads and availability. There also isn't a way to easily have a start and due dates on milestones. You can have them on individual tasks, but having it on a milestone would really help large projects.

Pros

What I always look for on project management softwares is to have a complete view of a calendar where you can track what your team is doing, and also a start and end date of each product. This software has the two of them, which for me is one if the most important thinks.

Cons

I found it a little bit expensive, since there are other softwares which you can use for less money. But if you get familiar with this one, it is worth it the price.

The cost of the product was far too expensive to purchase for such a small business like mine. When my business grows, this would definitely be product that I would consider incorporating instead of the frugal CRM that I am currently utilizing.

Pros

We've used TeamWork for years and it's great in many ways. First, it's our living To-Do list where all tasks can be organized by project, goal, team, etc across the company. Everyone can comment and communicate through the task threads (which sync to email). The ability to chain tasks together is one of the best features (and at times has been the main reason we didn't switch to other platforms). When Task A is checked off, it notifies via email the person in charge of the next task in the chain. This keeps work moving, and that's the biggest help.

It also connects to Drive to store relevant files alongside tasks and logs team time for billing. You can give limited view access to clients if you need to.

Cons

I would say that the main downfall is that I can't accurately predict my team's workload week to week. The tasks can be chained together and given start/end dates, etc but when it comes to how all those assignments and their estimated times apply to my employees' work week, there's very little functionality to forecast this. I would love to be able to drag a task that is estimated for 2 hours to an employee's calendar and stack these up to see how their week fills up. Can't do anything like that. Best they have is a blanket 'workload' view that shows how many estimated hours are calculated for tasks that start or end in a given week. But when you have 30 projects and 100s of tasks floating around, it gets cumbersome to organize everyone's efforts.

TL;DR : Great for planning project tasks/deliverables, but not so much for managing staff schedules/workload.

There aren't many options for learning how best to use the program, actually, which is frustrating for a small startup just figuring things out. Their training videos are basic and support pros don't really help you customize the tool to fit your unique business organization needs. They refer you to third party professionals for consulting on that front. I've had to hunt down how-to's and advice elsewhere. That said, their tech support tickets are usually addressed fairly quickly, but I've gotten the same message reply many times "Yes that's a great feature, but we don't offer it yet."

Also, my personal pet peeve about TeamWork PM, is the mobile app sucks. The desktop interface is great (plenty of drag and drop ease of use) but the mobile version is clunky and much less organized or helpful in terms of viewing my team's workload and task sorting.

A good introduction to project management software.

Pros

I have so many projects that it can be hard to keep up with everything at once. I also work with lots of people in different departments, and globally, to accomplish what I am trying to get done. Having a project management system like Teamwork Projects is essential to keeping things on track, and holding people accountable. I like the ease of use that Teamwork Projects offers, everything is very intuitive and nice to look at. You can share files easily, and send people messages. You can set dates, and create checklists too (and I love a checklist!)

Cons

There are definitely tools that are moer powerful, or offer better features out there. Teamwork Projects is good for start ups who don't have too much going on, or aren't looking for more advanced features liek an internal chat, etc.

Pros

When I was still working for a company, we use TeamWork for collaboration. TeamWork did not only help me organize and keep track of the hours I've used for a specific client, it also connected me to any of my clients around the globe, enjoying project privacy at most! I've created a trusting relationship with my clients and the third-party company I'm working for using this platform.

Sadly, some other collaboration platform offers more features than the free account of TeamWork and my new clients prefer using the other ones.

Pros

- You have a dashboard view that shows you late, due today, and upcoming tasks, which is helpful in keeping yourself sane and knowing the higher-priority projects at any given moment.
- You can set recurring tasks so you don't always have to go in and set up a new task list every month for repeating tasks.
- I can add as many co-workers or freelancers as needed, so my entire team can stay on the same page.
- I can organize files in Google Drive and link them into my projects for easy file access / organization
- I can set dependencies so tasks only become available if I am actually able to take and action on the item.
- My team can communicate easily via several communication channels
- The Teamwork team is also working on a chat app that integrates with projects. It looks really slick although I have not tried it out across my whole team at this point.

Cons

- I've found the mobile app to be relatively useless apart from giving me a notification that someone has chatted me.
- If you try and slide a chain of tasks to a new due date, the dependent tasks change as well - but they suddenly forget that I don't work on the weekend, so I end up with inaccurate timelines.

The company is extremely responsive. Every time I've contacted them with questions, they've answered within a few hours with complete, helpful answers. Excellent customer support!

Pros

1. Teamwork Projects has plenty of functionality, but you can choose what pieces you want to use in each project. For example, you can track billable hours but since I provide internal services, I do not add the Billing feature to any of my projects. It's not just that I can leave it blank, that entire section no longer appears, which definitely simplifies things. If you have many team members, you may need a message board, but some of my projects are really just me so again, I can leave that feature out.

2. In general, Teamwork allows you to use the software however is most useful for you. It does not force you to go through a detailed, rigorous project planning process. Sometimes you need the formal process and sometimes you don't, and I greatly appreciate being able to choose.

3. Simple, consistent interface. As a software trainer, I can't tell you how much I appreciate this!

2.

Cons

My only complaints are minor things like I often accidentally check off tasks as done when I mean to edit them because the buttons are next to each other. But that's much more user error than software issue.

It was what my company was using so I had to make it work. It did some things really easy, but others not so much. It was nice to be able to communicate with others in the company on different teams.

This software is best for short projects without many subtasks. I was using it for 9+ month projects with hundreds of tasks/subtasks and it became quite cumbersome.

Managing tasks, subtasks, and dates is easy and user-friendly.

As a project manager of multiple projects, there was no way for me to overlay projects, or view all on one calendar. This feature would make a PM's life so much better.

There was no way to import an .xlsx or .csv of existing tasks/dates to start, it had to be manually moved.

The export features are quite basic with little to no formatting. It always takes a lot of work on the back end before an export can be sent to a client, for example.

Pros

Switched to this from Basecamp since our needs changed. This ended up being a great switch. The functionality is perfect if you've outgrown other tools like Basecamp.

Cons

The interface is very busy and takes some time to get used to. It took me a couple weeks to get the hang of things from how simple Basecamp was.

The robust capacity to do many things, reports and ratio price and users.

Cons

It eases everything in my business (which is mostly freelancing for now).

Pros

Thi is not just timetracking software - it does so many other things. It is a very good solution for business management - time and project tracking, it offers customer portal (love that) and idea managment, which I love.

Cons

No cons for now, I like what I get in the free trial and I will definitely sign up for a paid version.
