Todoist Software

Todoist is a project management solution designed to meet the needs of small and midsize businesses. It bundles project scheduling, document management and task management functionalities within a single solution.

Todoist is available both for both cloud and on-premise deployment and can be accessed on tablets and smartphone devices via a mobile app. The product features task management tools, which allow users to create project tasks and assign them to people.

Users can then collaborate, share project statuses and invite other people to the project. The document management functionality enables users to upload and share documents via Google Docs and Dropbox.

With the help of the solution's “Todoist Karma” module, users can prepare customized reports on projects and tasks and project managers can view their projects from one system.

Todoist is available in three versions: Todoist Free, Todoist Premium and Todoist Business. The free and premium versions are for personal use, while the Todoist Business version is suited for the business application.

Pros

Todoist is super simple to setup and use which makes it an awesome tool for new employees to keep track of training tasks and assignments. It also helps our call center team keep track of their tasks especially follow-ups.

Cons

Probably the biggest disappointment is that the labels feature is only available on the premium tier which is also a yearly subscription.

Pros

This product has everything you need in one place. If you have the free version, just make sure it does what you want it to do. It basically works in any environment.

Cons

The free version doesn't have all of the high level features, but I wouldn't call that a con, especially if you do not need all of those bells and whistles.

If you are looking for a simple to-do list on your phone, this is the app for you.

Pros

- App is exactly what it claims to be, an easy way to create lists and check them off once completed
- The app looks very clean and is very easy to use
- Was able to add a widget to my home screen for simplicity

Cons

Apps like Todoist have very similar features and synced up to my calendars and these apps have other useful features. There is not a lot which sets it apart from other apps if you are looking for a bit more with the app.

I honestly think Todoist is the best task management application in its class. If you are looking to manage projects, I would recommend to look for a more complete system.

Pros

- Easy to use
- Does one thing, and does it well : GTD
- Adding tasks lightening-fast
- Ability to use filters to segment work and tasks
- Very mobile friendly

Cons

- Lacks a calendar view (you can connect with Google Calendar, but it didn't work well with me)
- It's easy to get overwhelmed with the number of tasks

Drop the paper lists and complicated software. Todoist is the easier and more complete app for organizing the schedule.

Pros

Todoist is a great free software for organizing what need to be done. It can be used dosmiticaly and for work as well, or for both at the same time.
The best feature on todoist is that it makes a chart showing what you have done and you can visualize your progress on your tasks.

Cons

It would be great to have labels on the free version. It's available only on the premium one.
On the other side its not an expensive software, so it might me worth the investment.

Pros

I like how this is web-based and able to sync across all of my devices. It is also fairly easy to enter new tasks.

Cons

The organization of events makes no sense to me. I have struggled using this effectively because it does not seem to be able to be organized in a helpful way. It also creates events at times that I did not make, and then sends me daily reminders and emails that actually become a little annoying. If some of these cons are able to be fixed, I think they should be more obvious to the user.

I love Todoist and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a task management platform.

Pros

The ability to track to do items and manage teams is one of the best available. You can set up individual teams and projects and then create and assign tasks within each of those. I also like the approach they have taken to gamify the platform it makes it fun for teams.

Cons

This does get harder to track and store files to share with clients. Each task management system has items I like and would love to combine into one tool but this has many of the features that fill my needs.

Pros

My favorite part of Todoist is that my husband and I can create tasks in the same list. This came in handy when we were preparing for moving, but our schedules didn't line up perfectly. We simply added the tasks that needed to get done and we were able to check it off from there and spend our in-person time together actually enjoying each other's company rather than figuring out what was next.

Cons

Creating subtasks is possible, but it is a bit more difficult than it should be. I also don't like that you get a notification for EVERY task completed. I'd rather get one notification at the end of each day.

I am not a big user of this program, but I do use similar programs. My limited exposure to this program caused me to go looking elsewhere for something I could use for the smaller team I lead within the company.

Pros

We have utilized this program on a company-wide basis, and most people seem to like it. It is a decent tool for teams.

Cons

I personally find the organizational abilities of this program to be a little bit messier than I would prefer.

I like the ability to set up list hierarchies, my brain just works that way. Easy collaboration between office members, especially if you're test-driving the product to see if you want to buy up to any of the higher tiers of service.

I just can't see enough benefit here to use this instead of something 100% free like Google Keep. Maybe if your office needs more powerful collaboration tools that would be a factor.

Value for Money

Pros

- Amazing way to sort lists - you can have projects and labels (labels only available in the paid subscription). I am looking into the GTD model by David Allen and labels are used as "contexts" - meaning that I have things to do in certain environments or contexts. I have list for things I need to do in the office, or at home, or on the computer, or at the grocery store, or at my kid's school. Once you are in a particular context, you look to your label for things you need to do at that particular place
- Projects are a great way to organize yourself, having the ability to see updates for a particular project is really convenient
- A vast list of shortcuts to improve efficiency
-Drag and drop features make it convenient to sort your lists/projects
-Date reminder - as soon as you have an item to do and input a date/time, the app understands this and generates a reminder for the task at that particular date/time, which is really cool!
-Sharing projects - if someone else has the app, you can share a project in real time
- Can access the app across devices

Cons

-Dates - sometimes I don't want the date to be included as a reminder but the app always translates the date as such and would be nice if I could hit the backspace on the app and it would understand that it is not something I want as a reminder
-Checklists - would be good if Todoist integrated checklists like Google Keep where you can copy and paste lists from a text message and Todoist would interpret each line as a separate list item or give you the option to paste it as separate items or one list

Pros

Todoist has it all! We've tried several task management softwares and this one offers the most features with ease of use. You are able to delegate, prioritize, and assign deadlines to various tasks. You can also have multiple lists with specific sharing helping to keep you professionally and personally organized.

Cons

Todoist could improve its notification features. Unfortunately on iphone, the notifications are restricted to the "notifications" page rather than being a push notification that would be much easier seen.

I am always looking for new Project/Task Management apps. If you are looking for a simple to do list with tagging features this is a great app. The three stars are because I prefer a more robust platform that gives me more features and I wasn't a huge fan of the presentation.

Pros

One of the best features is the ability to create tags for To List Items which enables you to group and filter by projects.

Cons

The layout is not the most visually appealing and there is limited complexity and dependencies that can be created.

I've been using Todoist for more than 2 years now. I am pretty satisfied with it. It helps me become more productive!

Pros

The Todoist app is the only to-do list app on my Android Phone. I love the fact that I can bring it and schedule any tasks anytime and anywhere. Creating a schedule or taks is quick and pretty easy, I can also organize them inside a category or "Projects". I can label them too.

Creating and deleting tasks is a breeze. My productivity rises because of how easy it is.

What I love most about it is the productivity meter. It really motivates me to see it grow. And it usually means that I am productive. Lastly, Todoist is also available on many different platforms like Windows, Mac and Android devices.

Cons

A minor drawback is there are no other ways to view the tasks other than list form. I hope they make other ways to view them.

You don't need a steep learning curve to use Todoist. Even my mom uses it, and she's very old-fashioned. It has helped me and my team, as well as my family get our schedules, appointments, tasks and reminders set up without being super techy.

Pros

I love that Todoist is simple, and very, very easy to use. Even the not so tech-savvy of my team members don't find Todoist daunting to use. They are able to pick up quickly, as we use this to plot our home and work schedules and tasks really well.

Cons

Pros

Todoist is a very flexible todo list, and what makes it especially great is a quick way of creating and managing projects. Plus entering new tasks from an Android widget is my way to go.

Cons

I wouldn't say that todoist is perfect, for example, I'd like a better Google Calendar integration, but overall, the service is near flawless.

Pros

How do I pick on thing?! I love how granular I can get with this to do list app. Sometimes in order to get things done I need to break projects down into tiny tiny tasks and everything else I used had a limit to how far I could go. Todoist has endless flexibility with labeling and organizing and it also rewards you for being productive. I love being able to switch views so easily.

Cons

Nothing? I love everything about it. Maybe if they added more color options for labels. I think that's my only wish.
