FixMe.IT is remote support software that enables users to connect to any remote computer. It caters to users from sole proprietors to global corporations across multiple sectors and industries.

FixMe.IT features include multi-session handling, two-way desktop sharing, unattended access, multi-window control, video-session recording, whiteboard tools and more.

FixMe.IT assists in sharing clipboard data such as text, images and other files from one computer to another. Users can also drag and drop files from remote desktop computers or between client machines.

Users can view and control multiple monitors connected to a remote computer. If a computer malfunctions, users can restart it remotely without terminating the current session.

The solution also assists in recording active sessions for evaluation and training purposes. FixMe.IT is compliant with HIPAA and PCI regulations.

Brilliant I.T Support Software

We have tried a number of products and this is certainly our favourite

Pros

Great unattended features that can be shared through all employees using the tool making remote access to customers systems much easier. The software gives a clear view of which system are online and which aren't. It is also very easy getting a customer to start a session when using the software.

Cons

Doesnt work on mac.
Copy and paste to clients PC could work better
When you run out of licenses it doesn't tell you who they are in use by which means shouting round the office

We love these guys and we are soooo happy we found them. We are a small Mom and Pop business and we sell and repair copiers. Sometimes our clients need us to set them up to print and using fix me IT has saved us so much down time since my husband is the only tech. We used Log Me In and Join Me for a while but we kept having to create new accounts as their annual prices were high and only priced for the larger companies. Currently you can only remote in for PC and not for MAC but they said they are working it. Again we highly recommend using these guys since you cannot beat the price and how easy it is to use.

Pros

You cannot beat the ease of use and the price.

Cons

That we cannot remote in for any Mac products.

This software allows me to perform remote IT sessions without the need to travel to the client on many occasions saving me time and money.

Pros

This software does everything I need. It allows me to perform remote sessions with clients as well as unattended remote sessions. It is not real fancy but does everything I require at a fair price. I have been using this software for 4 or 5 years now.

Cons

There is nothing I dislike about the software.

The purpose of any remote desktop tool, FixMe.IT included, is to provide a support technician with the ability to connect to a remote user and perform various operations on their computer, i.e. to provide technical assistance. The application itself (same as any remote support application) does not and cannot fix anything. I'm afraid you're confusing FixMe.IT with another product.

Overall, we've been VERY happy with FixMe. It's out top tool in solving our clients' tech problems.

Pros

For my tech support business serving clients in eight states and Mexico, we've been using FixMe for about four years. It has proven to be reliable and more than adequate for our needs. Over those four years, I can recall only twice that the service was unavailable, but in both instances, the service resumed within seconds. I especially like how quickly it opens and connects us to our clients' workstations and servers. Our customers are able to easily get us connected. Even our senior citizen clients have found it easy to get us connected using FixMe.

Cons

FixMe used to require the remote client to click an 'I accept' button to complete the remote connection. But about a year ago the program changed to omit that security checkpoint. Now, once the remote user communicates the client ID and we punch in their ID in our FixMe program, we get connected. My concern is that if blackhats (such as those who exploited similar connection methods of AMMYY) are using FixMe for nefarious purposes, they could randomly enter client ID's hoping to connect to a remote computer. This concern may be unwarranted, though, as the odds of randomly entering a client ID shortly after someone uses the fixme.it website, have got to be extremely low, and I imagine FixMe's servers would log such activity, flag it, and identify the abuser.

Regarding the removal of the 'Accept' prompt - there's a security mechanism in place against those who might randomly enter client IDs in order to connect to a remote machine for fraudulent purposes. Such connections are flagged after a number of failed attempts, and the user's account gets blocked due to potential misuse of our service.

Pros

So easy to get the cusstomer to download the software. Always stable, and never drops the connection.

Cons

The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't do Apple Mac.

This is indeed incredible software to generate down time and has fantastic security. Excellent resource for communicating and working/solving or just being able to have a session with other members and sharing documents, data, etc.

Cons

It's a bit costly per seat. With more free time to allow for others tasks, could be well worth the money.

I use this application daily to provide help desk and server support to many customers. The price is great and the features are fantastic.

Pros

The is by far the easiest remote access software I have ever used. As an IT manager, this software has saves me $1000s every month. With just a few clicks I can access customer's computers and correct problems while never leaving my office. My customers love this process. I can store computers for anytime access so I can manage many servers and computers 24/7 without requiring brick and mortar access.

Cons

If I could fix a few things I would make this software available for MAC and get a different URL. I have to constantly spell the word "IT". It seems such a simple word but it does not correlate to web browsing to the common internet user. Few people have ever visited a .it domain.

Overall my experience is very positive with FixMe.IT. I have used it for several years now. I am a sole proprietor and my use is limited. I do not make anything on the software but it does generally cover it cost. It does allow to remain in the shop however as I do not like to go onsite unless it is one of my business clients.

Pros

Easy to use. Have had no issues when using the software.

Cons

Getting the customer to download and run the software can be a challenge at times. I have not used the remote install if there is one.

This program has saved me so many miles on my car because I can remote in and take care of things. The pc doesn't even have to be on the network as long as it can get to the internet.

Pros

FixMe.IT is so easy to explain to the receiving party how to allow you to connect. Web based and simple. It also has features that allow you to send files back and forth, it allows you to let them see your screen as well.

There is nothing that I don't like about FixMe.IT

I like the customization on the landing page
Drag and drop from sessions is awesome
I like the pop up before you start the meeting so you can add notes

Cons

I don't like the fact the customer can easily close out of the session when they get the 3 digit code. it would be nice if they get a warning that the support rep wont be able to connect if they close that window.
I don't like the share your screen button next to the show customers screen button. I have accidentally clicked a few times and showed my screen

Unlike TeamViewer or similar programs that allow a remote tech support agent to take control of a client's system in order to provide assistance, FixMe.IT allows techs to do the same but with more options for communicating with the client. This helps the client to feel more secure. It's overwhelming enough to wrap your head around somebody taking control of your system (believe me, I've always been on the receiving end of this type of assistance, and it's been unnerving every time.) But to only be able to watch as the professional does their thing? That adds to the discomfort. FixMe.IT offers communication tools, where the tech can instant message the client. It also lets the tech share their own screen back, which can be educational.

FixMe.IT also allows tech to access the computer without the user needing to be present. And believe me - I'd rather trust someone to fix my system without me having to watch as the cursor moves seemingly of its own accord.

Cons

FixMe.IT is lesser known than other remote-support software, which is a shame. For the number of times I've needed a tech to fix something on my computer, I wish more of those times could have happened through FixMe.IT

I've been using the software for several years. I have a limited client base, but find it very helpful in assisting them. Several clients allow me to set up unassisted access so that I can monitor/troubleshoot they systems without their needing to sit and watch.

Pros

The administrator dashboard and tabs make it easy to manage multiple sessions and navigate to use the functions necessary to assist my clients.

Cons

Some clients have difficulty navigating the interface and process when going to FixMe.IT to begin a session, especially for the first time.

It's fully functional and easy to use. In the year I've been using it I made a single support request for a feature update. The turnaround for the implementation was 24 hours! I wish I received that kind for support from all my software vendors.
