MyCuts Software


 

MyCuts is a cloud-based salon management solution. Primary features include appointment scheduling, client management and inventory tracking .

The appointment scheduling feature allows users to manage appointment calendars, search appointment schedules, send text and email reminders, create recurring appointments and rebook existing appointments.

The client management feature allows users to search for clients, book appointments, view client histories, gather client information and import clients from phone contact lists. The inventory tracking feature allows users to search inventory by item name and status, view stock levels, add/remove stock and enter item information.

MyCuts is offered via subscription pricing. Android and iOS mobile applications are also offered. Support is offered via email and over the phone.

I am a Cosmo student who has been using this app for about 6 months now and I LOVE IT. paid features are targeted more towards salon managers (I.e. adding multiple stylists, tracking inventory) I think it’s an awesome way to start understanding how to build and organize clientele while booking services.

Cons

A clients color formula should go in the client profile and always show up when booking an appointment but does not

Easy to use and set up, my customers love it

Cons

I am using this for something other than a hair salon appointment app, I am using for an animal grooming salon. There are fields that I would like to change.

I like being able to see everyone and schedule appointments for them

Pros

I like the option to text or email clients a reminder and a marketing campaign

There is no option for them to cancel their appointment if they need to

MyCuts has helped me quickly and easily schedule while I am on the go

Pros

What I like most about the software is that there are so many additional pieces of information that you can add to a clients profile or schedule Including notes, hair formulas, inventory and so much more!

Cons

The only con I would have is only having a minimum number of clients that you are allowed to have saved when you are not paying for the app. Otherwise, for a free app, it has given me much more use than any other Beauty apps that are much more restricted

What I love about this software; it is very easy to book in my clients and very easy for them to confirm their booking.

Cons

What I dislike the least; is that it doesn't give a weekly or daily money breakdown. This is definitely needed.

Julie, thank you for the nice review! We do have a feature that lets you view money totals. Just tap the "More" tab button, and then under "Reports", tap "Appointment Totals." From there you can select any date range and it will show you a breakdown of several different totals for you.

Easy booking tool for my appointments

Pros

I like the way my clients receive confirmation and reminders. I also love that my clients were stored in alphabetical order so they are easy to find when trying to book the appointments.

Cons

The way you have to cancel or rebook then cancel the previous reservation. I also wish there was a way for the client to book there on appointments online or on the app. It would be nice if the administrator received a reminder text or email for appointments

I love that it automatically reminds your client of their appointment.

Cons

You can't look up past appointments to formulas on the Mobile app. Sometimes the time automatically changes in 15 minute increments.

To view past appointments for a client, there's several ways of doing it. One way is to swipe left on the appointment row, tap "More", then tap "View Client's Appointments.". Everything for the most part. Convenient and easy to use. Love that u can send mass text to clients!

Cons

When entering appt time, I have to make sure it stays the same. When I click DONE and view the appt I just set, sometimes it changes the time to AM OR PM (opposite of what I set) or changes the time.

The client data base and auto text confirmation feature. It's great to have client names and numbers separate from my personal phone contacts.

Cons

Would like to be able to only see my working hours/set a work schedule for myself instead of a full 24 hour availability every day.

It is simple to use. It is set up so you don't have to look around and get confused. It takes you step by step.

Cons

You only have a certain amount of clients you can put in then you have to purchase more storage. I don't feel like that should be the case.

Haley, thank you for your suggestion! There are some shortcuts already built in that saves a lot of time. One of them "rebooking" an appointment. All of the information from the previous appointment is carried over to the new appointment, and all you have to do is change the date. I like that it's user friendly. Love that it sends reminders to my clients, week before and the day before. Booking appointments is pretty easy.

Cons

I don't like that it will change the time I set for an appointment. If I put in say 9:00 it will randomly put in a completely different time. I usually catch it is change it before my client gets the wrong time. It's be nice if that could be fixed. So that appointment don't over lap as well without a warning letting you know.

Easy of setting appointments & sending reminders. Keeping notes & info. I am able to keep hair notes & well as personal notes from client conversations to birthdays. Reminders help clients as well as my self being a busy professional.

Cons

Always having my schedule at my fingertips, the automatic reminder to clients is great.

Pros

I like the simplicity of it. It's very easy to use and always at your fingertips. My clients absolutely love the booking confirmation and especially the reminder.

Cons

There is not much negative I have to say about this app. Sometimes there are glitches when trying to put in a new client. Once that was fixed I have no problem.
