Very powerful but difficult to use

PROS

I have found Sentinel to be a very powerful package that allows me to audit nearly any event I wish. It is fast, and integrates with everything I need to monitor.

CONS

It is extremely difficult to administer, requires significant server resources for installation, and is sometimes "more than I need" to do the job.

A good SIEM solution for midsize companies

PROS

Has been a good stable SIEM platform for us for a number of years. We have a number of other NetIQ solutions (change guardian, etc) that integrate perfectly.

CONS

NetIQ has been bought/sold/bought by a number of different companies over the last few years. This has hurt its support model as well as their ability to roll out new features/updates that would keep growing this solution.
