Pros/Cons
Pros
- Easy to use and very useful for the learning of chemical processes, especially for students of chemical engineering and professionals in the area.
- Great chemical engineering software that allows studying chemical processes at a wide range of levels.
- Overall, very happy with using Chemcad at my small company, allowing us to simulate chemical engineering processes easily.
Cons
- Furthermore, in case of any errors or unexpected results, you have to sort out for the problems manually as the program won’t do itself.
- In my simulations, the program sometimes gives very illogical errors and this affects the reliability of my result. The database needs to be updated and developed.
- It can be difficult to learn, and some people fell behind throughout the semester. Unfortunately, there may not be much that can be done about this.
Pros
- If you use the chat you will have mostly an answer within a couple of minutes from one of the lovely simscale staff. You really feel that they will do their best to make your project a success.
- Clear guide for the input of the parameters. Fantastic support: fast, competent and helpful.
- It is easy to use and easy to access. Straight forwardness of the most functions which is good sometimes.
Cons
- There are problems sometimes with darawing or software and you are not quite sure what is really wrong that sumulation can not start.
- Sometimes it was a bit confusing what could create a simulation fail.
- Maybe, the website is a little bit confusing, and the materials in some case is not updated up to day.
