Excellent tool with fair pricing to add SMS functionality to your app or project
Our business uses SMS to communicate with clients when an email is too slow. Messente has provided us with the ability to do all that at a fair price.
PROSThe API documentation is easy to use and provides clear instructions on how to implement it for your project. Pricing is one of the best I have found, and I have used quite some alternatives.
CONSIt's not easy to change or verify your custom caller ID. It's obvious that is done to ensure that no one will use it for scams or tricks, but it might take some time to set it up.
Reason for choosing Messente
SendPulse lacked some features, and the documentation was not as good as on Messente.

Messente has better pricing, that does not change every week.

Messente is a great SMS Service provider
Messente is a great company, from the beginning when we reached out to get information about their business they were very informative and they helped our team get setup with ease and they have an excellent customer service team.
PROSThe team is responsive and they actually help you get your questions answered and the system is easy to use. They tell you to reach out to them if you have any questions and when you do they get you the help you need.
CONSMaybe the cost of SMS Service, just because we are a brand new company we are watching every expense through the startup process.
Reasons for switching to Messente
The infobip team were very slow to communicate let alone actually help us in the setup process. We eventually left because it took over a month to get a response on a ticket we opened regarding their system, and even then they did not provide any substantial help so we mede the switch.

Working but has problems
I like the admin interface , the statistics module is great.
CONSI do not like that we are not being notified when there is a system failure and our users do not receive sms with verification code.

Best SMS partner for a startup
Overall experience has been more than satisfactory. Also like their security measures and how they recognise malicious SMS triggers on their platform and block the numbers. This has saved us from some bot attacks.
PROSPricing, customer support and the easy to integrate API documentation and tools.
CONSSo far haven't found any problems with Messente.

Other alternative products didn't have the coverage that messente has or just were too expensive for a startup.

Great service
We need to deliver SMS notifications to users and do not want to deal with it ourselves. Messente has delivered on what they promise.
PROSWell documented API, all the features we need (and more), great customer support -- what more can you wish for?
CONSWe would find it useful to have support for multiple organizations under the same account. Not a deal-breaker, though, just nice to have.

An truly remarcable messaging platform
Very positive. The fact that the API changed to accommodate new ways to send messages are very positive (Viber, WhatsApp, ...), but a pain to explain to our costumers that they need a new version of the software (and the associated cost).
PROSVery easy approach, understand and implement on our website, reasonable price, configurability and the fact that allow to administrate and implement new accounts on the same login was mega.
CONSThe API changed since our implementation (2016), so the old versions of the software stop working properly.

Messente was easy to implement, and allowed to perform operations the way we needed.

SMS notifications from Estonian Cup via Messente
Messente's really simple and good working infrastructure allowed us to quickly start sending out reminder SMS'es to our clients that next sporting competition is tomorrow and your start nr is like XXX. Also simple PHP SDK was a pro.
CONSDon't have any cons yet with Messente. Maybe the admin UI was lacking but now there is new UI and it is much much better.

Based in Estonia and that's why it was easier with billing.

You do good! Most what I like is that you hear needs and react back, and also ready to negotiate!

We have linked with our core system and based on our communication customer strategy we send through messente different messages to our customers
PROSIntegration with our software on real time and reporting per each selected period with respective costs per SMS
CONSIt is missing the feature to upload a personalised SMS for each Receiver. Currently you could upload a list of different receivers but you could send to them only one sms text (all the same), whilst we would need to have an upload with Receiver and personalised sms, so Messente could send at once

The messages are sent in a fast and convenient manner. The historical data is also rather easily accesssible, even though the report itself is not that convenient.
CONSThere are no options to exclude unicode symbols automatically; We were not warned about issues in the Mexican market in spite of both Messente and other vendors being very aware of the issue.

Easy to use and it just works
We needed an easy solution to send SMS reminders to our customers, like a video call is about to start in their online education program (it increased participation a lot). Also we send a reminder to those who take an invoice from our store (and don't use direct payment) about 30 minutes after, that please don't forget to make the payment (it also reduced forgotten payments).
PROSCode example in php, so it was easy to implement.
CONSIt's not possible to receive SMS messages.

The messages actually do reach the destination. If something is wrong, the explanation is usually found (and the customer support helps in case there is problem)
CONSLack of self-service tools. We send messages on behalf of our customers. We currently send messages to about 30 countries and use several sender names. It would help us(and your key account manager), if we could manage the sendernames ourselves (or at least see what sender names and messages are configured for each country)

We got the recommendation from our existing customer to test your product.

We tried several competing products, and had huge problems getting the messages through.

As financial company we have to send lots of messages to clients - transactional and marketing ones. With messenger we can easily differentiate them and be GDPR compliant. I like API connection with our system where we can easily find out unsubscribed customers. We have tested function if phone number is active and its worth to send sms or call there but we found another supplier with better results

great saver : whatsapp and viber before sending SMS
because my country is very expensive about 25cemts per sms , I like the idea of sending first to viber and whatsapp before sending sms this has saved me alot of money

very well in support, but in Mexico & colombia our profit compared with other companis is very low with messente, We only use it in some cases

CONSthe low deliver rate. others companies can deliver a message without problem and if i use messente (for the same mobile number), the platform shows that the message could not be deliver or the message is never sent to the user.
