The most I like about the nextdoor software is that you know what's going on around you.

What I liked least about the nextdoor software is I wish there was a section for like stuff for sale.

Perfect software to connect with people in your neighborhood. You can ask for a recommendation for a plumber, ask if anyone else heard the loud noise or why traffic is backed up on a certain road. You can advise your neighborhood that someone is going around stealing packages or just thank your neighbors for helping out. It’s a great software that’s neighborhood specific so that people aren’t on it from the next city over and that helps greatly in passing information or getting local advice.

No specific cons for this software. You have to have a moderator, which you need on any public forum.

Complete waste and based on others reviews it's a waste of money.

Nextdoor has not been able to reach customers to promote advertising.

I really loved it and found it very helpful way to connect to my neighbors however obviously the reach is limited to only the people who want to use it so it's only effective as who's actually using it.

What I like most is that it's a tool that can connect a community and neighbors. It allows us to talk and communicate and spread what's most important in the community what resources are available. It is a tool to allow to discuss concerns people may have. I don't believe there's anything that does the same thing out there.

The only thing I don't like is when people get off topic and start ranting and general comments become politicized. So it's not really a comment on the next door it's more on the users that I miss using it.

Nextdoor is a great tool for those who are interested in their neighborhood. Great for finding a local boy to hire for yard work, or learn about garage sales. Apart from these things, I'll stick with Facebook or Instagram as most of my interests are not bound to my neighborhood. Regarding businesses, I think it's a very good app to get awareness out if your audience is bound.

Nextdoor brings social networking to the neighborhood. I love how this software not only allows me to connect with my neighbors, but is a great advertising tool. Especially for small businesses in the area, it's a great way to get the word out to people in the area. This tool makes it easy to connect to a specific target audience geographically.

Of all the social networking tools, I find Nextdoor to be the most complicated. It does seem like it's trying to keep up with the other social networking tools and offer lots of options for people, groups, advertising, individual sales, notifications, etc. While trying to make the most of everything, it can feel like a very complicated app.

It is nice to know what is going on around the neighborhood, both good and bad. It's helpful to know sometimes if neighbors are going through some of the same things that we are. It's also helpful for people to share info that they have about various things, whether it be someone saw a loose dog...has an outage...sees suspicious activity, etc.

The app sometimes gets clogged up with much of the same information or stuff that seems to be spam.

Being able to alert my stores when there is crime nearby has been very useful. The Managers like it when I notify them so they can be prepared.

What I like most about Nextdoor is that I can see what is going on around our neighborhood and areas. I use this to see if there was any recent crime committed around the stores that I oversee. If I see that there has been any crimes committed, I warn the store's manager that is close by to stay on alert. Luckily, nothing bad has happened to the stores near the crimes. I also like that I can see when there is a lost pet or yard sales going on around my neighborhood. I've gone to a couple events that have been announced on Nextdoor.

What I like the least about Nextdoor is sometimes the articles load in a weird way and I can't see a majority of the post. All I do is hit refresh on my app or browser and it fixes the issue. Not sure if it's something in my settings but it is quite frustrating sometimes.

It is great for getting to know what's nearby and for complaints, safety issues, security, etc. Good to know the area, the neighbors and what stores and malls are available.

It still lacks a lot of features that could be useful

I thought maybe some good info about the area would come out of the news feed, but I quickly found out this part of Nextdoor, at least in our area, is worthless! I have had some success with selling items locally on Nextdoor and very happy to see that people really do seem to help find lost animals!

We have Nextdoor for our neighborhood. I've had quite a bit of success selling items locally through this platform. I've also seen it be very successful in helping lost/found pets be returned to their rightful owners. And in many instances I've seen referrals for quality handyman-type businesses.

I'm always amazed by the comments/complaints/questions that people ask in the feeds! Seriously? "I just saw an ambulance drive down (street name), does anyone know where it's going?" "My neighbor had a noisy party last night... do you think I should report them?" Life is too short for this type of stuff! Worse than social media!!

The Nextdoor app is great for quickly and easily finding out what’s going on in your neighborhood. Mostly I really like the tried-and-true service recommendations. The app is intuitive and has a lot of different ways to communicate/participate and feel like you’re part of a community. The text alerts and email updates are my favorite features to always stay in the know.

A LOT of people enjoy complaining in the newsfeed section. If you’re able to get past that, there’s actually quite a bit useful information all in one place!

I have been using it for more than 2 years and I'm highly satisfied with it, and I love meeting new people and chatting with them. I have received so many helps as well from people and I love the community that I'm blending into!

What I like most about Nextdoor would be the users. People congregate in Nextdoor to genuinely be sincere and to help their neighbors. It is also a way to advertise personal services to people and build clientele. I mainly use it to blend into the community that we moved to and to meet new people and build relationships.

Perhaps, the way it keeps showing other neighborhoods that I don't want to follow anymore and that it is hard to manipulate that setting.

overall, this app is ideal for me to keep in touch with the neighborhood. FB and all the others are global - but I like the close focus of ND. Safety, concerts, concerns, needs, help needed things

this app is exactly what I need it to be - it links neighbors for safety, local events, items for sale, local issues

some posts get inadvertently taken over by political garbage, the reviewers seem to be left leaning and remove conservative items most often

Helpful but also upsetting. Its is not the fault of the app but the fault of our current national culture (ive used this app in two different parts of our country so the abuse issue is not local)

I love that app for its intent...to connect community members. The app has been informative during issues within our neighborhood, allowing streamline communication with updates (electrical outages, police activity, etc.).

User abuse of the app has allowed negative feeds to take shape and explode...discouraging me from using the app more frequently. There are plenty of social media platforms for trolls and attacks....I wish there was more stringent protocol in regards to what is and isn't allowed.

Positve experience with an easy to use newer form of Neighborly Social Media.

Getting updated neighborhood information is key plus a great source for leads.

Some people can be quite negative when commenting on other peoples posts. Plus some of the things people say will surprise you because it sometimes seems people make comments but dont seem to read the posts they are commenting on.

The thing I like most about Nextdoor is that it is Taylor’s to each individuals needs. Users put in their zip code and area that they live. Select the neighborhood and it’s all local information. There isn’t going to be people from states away advertising their business to you when you looked up one thing one time.

Great neighborhood social networking site. It is easy to make posts, make comments on other people's posts, advertise job services, and see job offers.

I'd like there to be more of a section of the website built mainly for job offers. The job offers are currently in a person's general post.

Nextdoor has been very helpful in getting feedback from neighbors, selling items, and sharing safety concerns. As more people use it, it becomes more useful to us.

Easy to use. Ability to post items for sale. Can notify neighbors of safety concerns. Great for getting feedback from locals.

Notifications can be overwhelming. Profile layouts are not very aesthetically pleasing. In some locations, Nextdoor may not be used by as many people, which means it will not be as useful.

Calling someone or the HOA a [SENSITIVE CONTENT] who should mind their business is not disrespectful. Lots of people are called [SENSITIVE CONTENT] on Facebook and no one gets their account disabled on Facebook. Telling someone who doesn't provide proof I'm wrong to provide proof isn't wrong either.  Oh, and last and not least calling out [SENSITIVE CONTENT] mental health (or being anti [SENSITIVE CONTENT] ) isn't wrong considering that there's people that call out [SENSITIVE CONTENT] mental health and anti [SENSITIVE CONTENT] on Nextdoor all the time.

I don't like censorship or getting reported for mild comments.

Overall it has been a great resource especially since we moved to a new neighborhood.

The map feature showing what neighbors are close to you using the app is a great feature.

Somewhat confusing to see your own posts.

Biased volunteers who over moderate and use person feeling to delete posts and comments. They can delete whatever they want regardless of the guidelines. No point in having a forum where people can’t express themselves.

its easy and the best network I can use to communicate to the community.

its easy to use, informational, the notifications were vague enough to draw me in to see what the post was.

Used Nextdoor when I moved to a new neighborhood to get familiar with the area. It was great for keeping up with random updates, alerts, and events happening in the area.

I wish there was more specific content. Sometimes it feels really random what people post so would be nice to be able to filter.

This is such a great way to keep up with what's going on in our community.

At this time I don't have any complaints or suggestions.

it is insidious - you can't get rid of the emails, notifications etc ..without jumping through a lot of hoops. DO not install this cr*p application.
