Minitab is useful and friend-user tool to do that,  I am doing it on self account, because I like statistics and trying to improve the sales operations.

Really good software to be used as a student or as a professional. It helps you to analyze your data and interpret them leading you to the right decision-makers.

Tech support is very good including statistical support.

I think the only trouble that I found was the fact that there are a few features missing that are on excel.

Minitab is good enough to cover our data analysis needs, we use it at the quality lab to analyze results, so far with good outcomes in few time.

3D plots needed to be developed more and another issue is it is quiet difficult to deal with entering metrices.

So far I have had a great experience elaborating graphics and calculating the probability for different processes.

Some concepts to perform regression and other analysis of the options make me confuse.

The lack of wizard if you dont understand the tests thst you need to use to serve your purpose.

There are some function errors. It cause to disappoint to me.

If you are not an expert in statistics it will be really hard to navigate through the software.

If you are a green belt in 6-sigma, this is your product, It has great features for statistical investigation. You can get distributions, mod, median, averages, B10/B20 values and so on.

There are a lot of analysis you can make and base your decisions on. It's a bit pricey but I think it's worth it for long time use.

I was a big fan of this software for my statistical analyses when I was in undergraduate.

The dedicated user environment with a wide variety of statistical analysis options is the best thing about Minitab. I believe due to this, its much common to find in institutional subscriptions also.

From simple to complex, Minitab is a powerful tool to gain accurate and rapid stochastic interpretation of your data.

It has been able to do any of the statistical analysis that I have ever needed. Graphs and images look nice and integrate well into Word and Excel.

In overall it's a quite good product for data analysis for engineers like me.

Minitab is a great product but worth the investment if you want to use data based decision making.

Minitab is my favourite statistical software. Very easy to use and we don't need to remember anything (coding) :).

Its is quite difficult and take sometime to understand the features. New users may get confused as it contains so many options.

Visuals are quite primitive. There is no estetical  way to looking at it.

Once you understand the core of statistics and probability it is easy to use the tool. I like that I can simulate scenarios with DOE's and correlation tools.

Scilab is capable of handling complex problems with great accuracy. The library of available functions is remarkable and can be used to work on projects of any size.

It can be said that there are few disadvantages we can mention the language in which it was made English and French must only have a previous instruction to handle it is not very instuitive.

No any cons experienced while using but sometimes it takes time to fully load software.

Scilab is a great tool for statistics, communications, satellite orbits, networking, algorithm complexity, and virtually all fields of academics and engineering.

It's inability to perform some optimization analysis like goal programming problem.

The software's powerful mathematical capabilities, extensive library of functions, and open-source nature have allowed me to perform complex calculations, simulations, and data analysis efficiently.

Let's not lie; scientist and engineers use MATLAB a lot. Scilab, unfortunately, is not remotely compatible with MATLAB.

Its versatility and active community support make it a valuable tool for scientific computing.

I can use this free of cost since its opensource and it delivers all the features in matlab for free! it runs fast and the parallel processing is amazing.

Great tool to simulate and plot graphs of control systems.

Sometimes the graphics are temperamental, depending on your computer's operating system. Linux users seem to run into trouble more often.

It do not have as many features as Matlab or wolfarm mathematica have. Also its a bit hard to use.

Good performance for open source program as mathematical solver. Scialab has various toolbox options to use specific area.

My experience is positive. It helped me a lot during the module of control and servo mechanism at university.

It gives me the flexibility to create functions and if you prefer to build your own functions you will like Scilab over Matlab.

The community is not large, but it is a serious one, users and programmers constantly working in making Scilab the optimal application of its kind.

Good alternative for other commercial software packages.

Scilab has a very clean interface and many functionalities. The best thing about it is that you can have it in your home for free and do a lot of work on it.

One minor error can result in a very different outcome. Also because of the syntax and priority solving by the software, you need to be cautious with what and how you express your equations.

It is a perfect alternative to softwares like Matlab, it allows you to practically do the same and for free.

It is open source free hence any one can use Scilab. User can able to perform complex calculations of maths very easily and quickly using programming.
