About Google Forms

Google Forms is a survey management application that helps businesses create online surveys and questionnaires to collect and organize information. Its white-label capabilities enable organizations to design personalized surveys using custom logos, images or predefined themes.

Google Forms assists professionals with creating custom Q&As, surveys, polls or pop quizzes using various question types including multiple-choice, dropdowns, linear scales or checkboxes. It lets administrators embed forms to existing websites or share them with specific clients or a target audience via email links, Google Currents, Facebook and Twitter. Additionally, the collaboration feature allows teams to simultaneously create or edit surveys.

Google Forms enables managers to analyze entries in real-time and gain insight into survey data via charts, graphs and automated summaries. It is available for free as a part of Google’s suite of online tools. Support is extended via FAQs, forums, a help center and other online measures.

Pros:
I like its seamless, free integration with Google Sheets, allowing for instant, real-time data analysis and automation. Users value its extreme ease of use, enabling rapid creation of surveys, quizzes, and data collection tools with drag- and-drop functionality.
Cons:
I don't like its stagnant, basic design that looks unbranded and unprofessional compared to modern alternatives.

Effective Survey and Data Collection Tool

5

I use Google Forms regularly to send surveys and collect data. When you work with a large team, this is an effective way to gather opinions and quickly organize results. I also use the feature that allows results to be formatted into a spreadsheet. This is such a useful crossover, giving me the ability to view data exactly how I need to.

Pros:
I love Google Forms easy to use features, the design options, and ability to quickly create and share surveys and collect data. The different question style options are very useful, as is the ability to make questions required or optional. Sharing out forms is as easy as can be! I like being able to quickly share out the forms for immediate data collection. I especially appreciate the option to view results in a Google Sheet, allowing for effective organization of the data.
Cons:
There are times when sharing the form with constituents outside of your organization takes a few extra clicks, or you will start to receive requests to share and update the settings.

Unrivalled Tool for Building Forms

5

We still regularly use Google Forms as a simply and streamlined way to collect user responses. It is incredibly easy to send out and share forms and the record and information collection process is as close to perfect as you can get. As always, this tool being completely free is also a huge plus.

Pros:
Google Suite has continued to improve over the years and it's free-to-use model is unrivalled. Google Forms really simplifies the form-creation and sharing process and is a vital tool for anyone needing to create simple forms. Users are already familiar with the Google ecosystem so there really isn't much of a learning curve for having people use Google Forms. As long as you aren't looking for complexity in your form builder, Google Forms will do just fine.
Cons:
The only criticism I'd have is the limitation on the ability to customize the user interface and the overall look/feel of the forms. If you aren't too worried about beautifying or customizing the look of your forms then there is not much to worry about!

Google never disappoints

4

I have used Google Forms for years and seen several improvements, particularly in terms of user-friendliness and ease to create all types of feedback requests. Google's reputation for creating free and handy tools definitively come through, using this feature. I do like the convenience of generating and sharing questionnaires in a few clicks, even more so by just copying and editing previous templates. Generally, I cannot really fault Forms. The only aspect that can be improved is the appearance of the finished product. I would very much like to see a more polished, professional and customised format, to increase the impression of a more official and personal document.

Pros:
Free and easy to use, fairly customisable, quick to share. Features are intuitive and it only takes a little practice to discover and master all its tools.
Cons:
Options for a cleaner, professional, company customised template would be ideal. Using these forms for more formal or official purposes sometimes feels unsuitable, or too basic, amateur.

Google Forms is a great alternative if you're looking for a low cost, easy to use option.

Over all I would say I would recommend Google Forms for most things due to the cost not being a facto and the ease of use for most things.

Pros:
I like that it is included with Google accounts and I don't have to pay extra for it. I definitely makes it worth it as the cost is none. It is fairly straightforward to use as well. I appreciate the fact that it collects the data and I can download that data to an excel file.
Cons:
I can't do everything I want it to do unfortunately. I have found work arounds for most things but not everything. Some things are clunky still. Specifically if I want to collect files from the form.

For quick MVP testing and validation, it is great. It is free and easy for users to answer. It saves me time from building custom survey tool. Good for internal team voting on features also. A simple tool for data driven decisions.

Pros:
I use this for collecting beta user feedback and feature requests. It is very quick to make survey and send link to customers. The responses go to Sheets automatically, which helps me analyze data and prioritize what to build next for the product.
Cons:
The design is very basic, I cannot make it look like my brand perfectly. Logic jump (if this, then that) is very simple and not good for complex user journeys. It does not have good analytics dashboard inside, I must do manual work in sheets.

Google Forms makes it incredibly easy to set up professional-looking forms in just a few minutes. I especially like how simple it is to collect client reviews and automatically organize responses in Google Sheets. The interface is clean, intuitive, and requires no technical knowledge to get started.
Cons:
While Google Forms is great for basic use, the design customization options are quite limited compared to other tools. Advanced logic, branding flexibility, and layout control could be improved. For more complex workflows or highly branded forms, it sometimes feels a bit too basic.

Simple, quick, and easy basic forms for data collection. Ad hoc and informal use

4

Quick, easy, and powerful for a basic form and data collection. The integration to the ecosystem of other Google tools is great. Probably only use it for a simple ad-hoc or routine but informal data collection. It doesn't look and feel corporate or at least I didn't discover how to make it look that way

Sometimes access is a problem for people without Google credentials. The features are basic. They have basic customizations but a bit fiddly if you want customized branding or a really professional look.
