The biggest problems working between the years without having to install new software is a game changer. Having multiple users without the hassle. Being able to work anywhere I need to work without extra steps. Having the federal and state efiles process without intervention and quick acceptance is a game changer. The customer service reps are so friendly and willing to spend all the time necessary to resolve the issues.

The customer service will answer any questions and work with you to resolve any complex issue even if they have to do research to find it. They respond to your call within 5 minutes and usually must less time.

The client portal needs some additional work so that the client knows exactly where to load the documents so that they will be received.

I am very happy with My Tax Prep Office and will continue to use it.

The overall performance of the program works very well. I have been using the program almost from the beginning and I have witnessed a great growth in the program. All states are included at no extra charge, unlimited printing and ease of Efiling are all very important. When I run into a problem, the support team gets the problem resolved with a day.

The program does have some issues where calculated boxes don't flow to the correct form or some forms do not calculate as I expect.

We had problems with the Kentucky returns in 2019 and were told everything was resolved and those problems would not reoccur in 2020. Total lie. This program is a complete HEADACHE for Kentucky tax preparers.

We had no problems when it came to preparing the federal programs.

TOTALLY IGNORE PROBLEMS WITH KENTUCKY RETURNS Here is verbiage from latest email that was sent this morning: Robert Jones You totally ignored all the problems that were relayed to you last season regarding the Kentucky tax returns. You would not answer my calls, emails, chats, or let voice messages. Today is the time that broke the camel's back!!!! I will be contacting the Kentucky Revenue Cabinet and the Kentucky Attorney General's Office today to file an official complaint against mytaxprepoffice in hopes of them NOT approving your program for 2021 tax preparation. Those Kentucky returns that we had problems with, and you were notified about time and time again, are now coming back with errors because once originally transmitted all information listed on Schedule M failed to go through. This is causing clients to get letters from Kentucky that they owe taxes. We now have to amend those screwed up transmitted return to show what was actually prepared corrected. I will also be posting this to all channels to warn all Kentucky tax preparers NOT to purchase your program.

Really, I can't find any item unlike about the program regarding of my need to provided my client's services. Every year there are improve for the program to make easy to understand.

Great software that I have used for years and hope to continue using for years to come. Way better than it was in 2015 when it had a lot of errors with infomation not flowing through to the states and calculation errors. Those days are long gone.

Has all forms needed and states needed for my company.

Some of the tips per line are that indepth and not helpful. Doesn't have the best portal for clients to upload documents, doesn't always work. Not able to see multiple years in detail, just a summary for the prior year. Remote signature didn't work well, client wasn't able to sign and it looked kinda clunky and outdated when I tried myself.

Excellent. As said above, staff has been very helpful and supportive. Software seems to be intuitive and so far have found easy to use.

Had my initial training with [sensitive content hidden]. Spent a little over 2 hours going over in detail the functions of the tax software and administrative features. Made sure my company information was set up properly. Very friendly and professional. As all the employees I have interacted with so far. Very impressed with the initial contacts with the company and the thoroughness of the training and other subjects after puchase.

Generally this has been excellent tax software. There are many features that will help one to automate functions going forward. Many clients are not ready for all the automation, but we should facilitate them as need be and continue the advancement technology provides.

The majority of the screens are user friendly and work well. The online help features are excellent and the assistance with difficult odd details gets resolved with relative ease.

The quick online help notes are cryptic and all too brief, so often I cannot determine what they mean. This adds a lot of confusion as I attempt to resolve all issues before having to engage the help desk, so some clearer direction would be ideal.

Makes it easier to work with clients. They can upload their own documents without having to come to my house and then I scan and upload them. The support staff are patient and find the answers to your questions. They treat you as a person. MyTaxPrepOffice even incorporated one of my suggestions into the estimated tax calculation form. I'm very please with all of the features, benefits, and services of MyTaxPrepOffice provides. It's a great value.

Clients can review, approve their returns, and sign them remotely.

On the MyTaxPortal for clients, I think a red dot appears on an area when there is a document to review or a signature requested. Unless that's been updated, it's not always clear to some clients that they need to review something. Also, on the October 15th filing deadline, the system wasn't allowing my clients to sign remotely so they had to come to my house to sign. I think the system didn't have enough capacity on that day and evening.

There are several things I like about MyTax. The price can't be beaten. The support is unparalleled. I almost always receive feedback within one day that a change has been made to the program in response to my feedback. I really like this program.

Although very glitchy, it's not bad enough to not try the software again next year. I'm fine with some glitches but if we get the same exact glitches next year then I think they are not doing anything to improve on their software and we will, unfortunately, move to another tax software.

Very easy to send/receive customers a signup link to send documents, questions, review, and e-sign their returns so from a customer point of view...excellent. Also, I prefer cloud-based software which has several advantages for me.

Very glitchy. For example, many times you must clear your browser cache or log out and log back in again to clear not being able to enter a value in a field or if you put something in a field by mistake and try to delete it, it won't let you unless you log out and log in again and sometimes you may even have to delete the form and start over again, or you remove entries from fields and they show up again (yes, sometimes a field is autopopulated from another form but not always). There are actually many more glitches but even Quickbooks and most every major cloudbased software has glitches. Also, some of the questions are not very clear, and same with the explanation of the error messages. Have to get support sometimes to figure out the explanation given.

Overall I am very pleased with my experience. As a retired CPA I was looking for a package that provided me with all the business, nonprofit, trust and other small business tax prep capabilities I need for myself, family members, and a relatively small number of client friends (under 100 returns annually now). This package, while not yet up to the big tax prep software company standards as far as convenience extras, is rapidly getting close while keeping the pricing very attractive for smaller practitioners and retirees like me. Over the long term I think this company will become a major player in the commercial tax prep industry.

In this competitive environment pricing is very important. MyTaxPrepOffice is a great price, and the price is locked in for as long as you renew during the usual early Spring renewal season. The combination of the client tax portal and the practitioner software saves time and aggravation. They have all the forms I need for every type of tax entity, including state business forms.

As with every commercial tax software package that has to be rewritten each year after Congress changes the laws again, software bugs pop up. Also, some of the federal numbers do not carry into other federal forms, and few of the federal numbers carry down into populating the state forms. However, the company has been making progress each year on correcting this. Some state number transfers are more comprehensive than other states (particularly regarding state business forms).

My overall experience has been Great. I am not a computer person. I am a Tax Person. It has been my experience that when I deal with computer software people - they and I do not communicate well. I have had mostly positive experience with this company and they have helped me overcome computer operational issues and I am very satisfied.

It's been a terrible experience from the beginning, getting my office set up and transferring my clients from previous years was headache.

I liked the day I stopped using it and switched back to Drake Software.

The customer support is terrible and they have zero knowledge of tax preparation, and very little knowledge of the software itself.

Help desk does not follow up on issues recorded. Tax calculations differ from IRS and CA FTB

Love their concept and some of the features. Support representatives did try their best, but they cannot resolve form calculation problems.

Prepared six returns to date. Five out of the six had problems. 1. Form 5329 calculating incorrectly.(Sent to Support) 2. Schedule A worksheet for mortgage interest limitation was nonexistent.(Sent to support) 3 & 4. Processing of 1099's required creating a new return each time (Two occurrences)(Phone support was able to help by instructing me to create a copy and deleting original return) 5. Final straw, Schedule 1, calculation for taxable portion of state refund was calculating incorrectly.

Worst mistake ever. Run...don't walk, away from this tax software. So many things wrong with it that I wrote a letter to the management of this company. Should not be on the market.

Easy to set up and cheapest tax prep software I found.

Incorrect calculations on numerous occasions, worst customer service, and the software actually crashed on the filing deadline as I was filing extensions for 50 clients and none were able to be timely filed. Massive headache and customer service quit answering the phones to give updates.

This program has made my work much easier and faster. My clients like the portal and the speed in which I can do their taxes
