Having a simple quick messenger is really improving my work progress and letting me and my team to connect quickly to collaborate on task quickly. Wonderful experience is all that i can said.

Google Hangouts is free to use and comes with Gmail account. I can create and join multiple chat group to help me separating from work group chat and personal and social group chat. Another thing that i like is, it can be easily accessed from my smartphone as i mostly only have my smartphone when i am out from office.

What i like the least with Google Hangouts is, it has limitation on file size that can be sent thru the software. I can only sent and attach a maximum of 200MB file size, and need to switch to other file transfer software to sent a file that sized more than 200MB. Other than that, this software is very helpful in connecting me and my colleague.

Google chat makes instant messaging easy and seamless. I have google chat both on my desktop and mobile, and the experience on both are great! Very user friendly, and easy to adjust/migrate to after using other communication tools.

Nothing off the top of my mind, I enjoy google chat a lot, and love that the mobile instance allows you to toggle between other google products like Gmail

I use Google Chat to remotely engage with my marketing team and consultants. Using Chat I am able to see messages while I am typing an email within my Gmail account. Once I set-up a conference call to discuss campaign performance or implementing a new tag, Chat is automatically activated during the call. So, my favorite feature is the ability of Chat to seamlessly integrate with Gmail and Google Calendar. Additionally, with the click of a button I can share links, images or videos and create Chat rooms. So, it helps me collaborate productively with product owners, web developers and marketing specialists. Hence, driving high ROI.

Chat by Google needs high random access memory and high speed internet to function. If there is not enough RAM or there are lots of Google Chrome tabs which are consuming the available RAM, Chat will lag in response time or slow down. When using a smart phone, Chat works well only if its mobile app is downloaded which again takes high phone memory. New users or non-IT employees who are not familiar with G suite, have a learning curve. So, adoption rate is low for non-Google users.

It is very Easy to use & efficient compared to other apps available in the market .Google chat has been amazing since our change I from region based work to remote work. As opposed to illuminating on a couple of uses or text illuminating (which is hard to figure out and remain mindful of) we can keep all of our correspondence in one spot saving time.

Google chat has for a really long time saved individual venture. Astoundingly quick response regardless, while sending gigantic messages. We tried to switch from Microsoft Teams, because Teams is awful, but we won't stick with Google Chat either.

Good if you access via Gmail, very userfriendly and easy to implement, but that's it.

A solid product, which despite being simple, is very powerful. It can add a lot of value to your company depending on which service is being migrated, however, there are competitors that provide better (but more expensive) tools.

Extremely easy to use tool. It has an easy and intuitive interface, people with little experience in the technology can quickly learn to use it. It has excellent integration with other Google Workspace applications. Today, within Google Chat it is possible to interact with other applications such as Tasks (create, edit), Calendar (schedule events with co-workers), Drive (create and edit files), all without leaving the Gmail interface. It is also possible to integrate the tool with other applications, such as chat bots.

Compared to other communication tools on the market like Slack or Discord, the tool becomes inferior. However, Google is constantly updating the tool and promoting integration with other services in order to improve the experience.

Chat is a good tool for communication, it has a perfect integration with all the GSuite Environment, for the price is a very good tool because you can use it with Hangouts, Drive and Gmail.

The only con that I found on this product is the price. In a small business probably is going to be expensive if you have 10+ employers, because this product has a price per user.

My experience overall is quite good with Chat. It provides a very user friendly messaging tool which has rooms and groups both. You can browse rooms as well and while joining any room, you can Preview the room and messages in it to make a decision whether to join or not. The overall functionality and features of 'rooms' are great and I find them very useful which in turn saves a lot of time and effort. Other all basic functions are present like mute notifications, online status. To add to it, you can also set push notification in case you are not available. Simple yet very useful feature. Then there's smart reply and desktop notifications feature too. Desktop notification is useful if you google chat window is not open. You can also block members. In conclusion, this is one of the best messaging tools which I have used and I would recommend this to everyone.

The interface of the tool is user friendly and very easy to use. Search is very simple and straight forward. Simply put the name of the person you want to chat with and results are displayed instantly using smart search feature. You can create various discussion rooms by inviting members. I never had any problem creating room , in fact once I have to create a room with a lot of members from different projects but never faced and delays or problems with it. You can create multiple threads in a room which is very useful feature. You can also customize name of the room as per your need and project. Then there are groups which are very similar to a group in any messaging app. You can add multiple people but it's a single threaded chat. this is basically a personal group and rooms are for primarily for project related conversations. Search feature is also useful and easy. You can also search individually in a room. The results are easy to obtain and very helpful. Furthermore, a great feature is, you can edit you messages. A lot of times we enter incorrect information in the message which can create confusion. You can edit it or delete as required by the user. I personally, find this feature very user friendly. You can also shared a file form google drive directly or from your desktop. Additionally, there's a shortcut for video meeting, which when clicked send video meeting invite and the best part, creates dial in number is automatically generated which saves a lot of time.

Apart from all the great features what I don't like about it is, Google chat and hangouts and not synced. When you delete something from chat it is still present in hangout. So, basically you you are still looking at the deleted information in hangouts which is not required. Another functionality which I miss from microsoft lync is that, you can not control other persons machine during screen share with mutual consent and continue with the discussion / transition. Except this, almost everything is great about this tool.

The options provided in Google Hangouts are just great. It is a simple to use chat / communication app with options for private chat, private call, business chat, group chat or conference calls. It has been used on daily basis by me and my colleagues and it never fails us.

The simplicity and ease of access of Google Hangouts is just amazing. It is integrated into the Google's package and it is very easy to use and get used to. The amount of people using any of the google products is incredibly high, therefore it is easy to reach to anyone via the Google Hangouts. A great addition for private and business use!

The only thing that might be noted as a con or a down side is the way that the mobile App acts sometimes, as it does not load that easily from time to time and sometimes it opens, freezes and closes again so it has to be re-started in order for it to work smoothly.

Google chat is overall a great product. It's integration into Gmail and excellent mobile execution help maximize work productivity. I like that messages can be edited after being sent, that images can be pasted inline, and that hyperlinks can be added.

I don't like that Google chat allows for only one hyperlink or inline image per chat message. I also wish the feature to send chats to your Gmail was more robust (so I could pick and choose what portion of the chat gets sent) and that it was easier to add someone to a group chat. I wish Google chat was more like Apple iMessage in polish and execution.

when part of the G-Suite for Business, this is a great integration which has made collaboration and file sharing more streamlined and simpler as well as safer than using external tools for each

Easy to use, a worthwhile messenger tool when you are using Googles other business tools as well, as it integrates nicely like all G-Suite tools do, not sure I would recommend using it as a standalone solution, there are better messengers at better rates for just the chatting part

this may seem petty, but more often than not, it seems that notigications for new messages are a bit iffy, especially when on a group chat. I know we all want to focus and not be distracted by constant notigications, but I have missed several urgent or time-sensitive infos because sometimes notifications just stop, or the count on the iOS app is not updated
