Datagate greatly optimized our VoIP billing!

Bottom line is we save a bunch of time, our customers received great traditional telephony style bills and our vendors support and enjoy working through the Datagate platform.

PROS

We have been using Datagate for years and have found many improvements in our business processes. The primary reason we made the switch to Datagate was for our telephony/VoIP billing to sync the invoicing data to Connectwise. Prior to Datagate we had to manually enter data each month which was not scalable. We also had several monthly compliance reporting requirements that took a great deal of time to put together and Datagate’s reporting greatly simplified that process and saved us many hours per month. Last we have appreciated Datagate’s support team who do a great job of getting in meetings with us to tackle new processes or direction of our VoIP billing.

CONS

Early on we had some bumps as the Connectwise integration was built, but that was years ago and its been great since.

Reasons for switching to Datagate

We were looking for integration to Connectwise.

Vendor Response

Thank you for this review Eric. We are glad to hear of your success in VoIP billing with Datagate and ConnectWise. Much appreciated.

Early Days, but Overall Very Pleased!

Our experience so far has been overwhelmingly positive - we are excited to see where our partnership leads!

PROS

The onboarding process was so smooth, and our project manager was incredibly helpful in the process. We were able to take on the process of invoicing and managed to update our customer records in the process. The process to generate invoicing is one of the easiest we have found, and it has made things much more convenient to review and approve items.

CONS

Our ConnectWise integration continues to run very slow, and can be sporadic. We haven't been able to identify the issue, which can sometimes cause concern as the updates we have made in our CRM are not showing in the billing platform. This can, and has, been overcome by manually syncing but can be frustrating. Additionally, we would like to see more options when sending or re-sending invoicing.

Reason for choosing Datagate

Datagate was at the top of our list based on the integrations with ConnectWise, and the fact that the company is focused mainly on billing was a major bonus, as other vendors were trying to get us to switch our CRM as well, which was not our intention or ideal.

Reasons for switching to Datagate

We were utilizing our primary providers' instance of the OneBill billing platform. It was clearly not built for our growth or expansion, and became increasingly difficult to utilize.

Switched to DG from another business BEST decision ever

The implementation process was long and took a lot of effort on our part. However, Sogol, our implementation specialist really helped us through it and was a great help.

PROS

The look of the invoices, the easiness of the actual invoicing/crediting process.

CONS

We don't like that we have to map invoices each month.

Reason for choosing Datagate

The integration with ConnectWise.

Reasons for switching to Datagate

BluLogix invoicing process was very difficult, their reports were terrible, the invoices were too long, they were charging our customers incorrectly. Their basic support team was slow to respond and I usually had to end up escalating any of my cases.

President

It has been a very pleasant experience and I am very happy with the end result.

PROS

Ability to integrate with ConnectWise, QuickBooks online & Connectbooster

CONS

Some of the integration steps are currently manual - (sync with ConnectWise). But I am working with Datagate to automate these processes.

Reasons for switching to Datagate

Integration with Accounting package

Vendor Response

Thank you Bob, we appreciate your feedback and its great that you are having a good experience using Datagate telecom billing integrated with ConnectWise Manage, QuickBooks Online and ConnectBooster. We give careful consideration to all suggestions from our clients, to further improve our product. As a result of your suggestion, the automatic ConnectWise synch is now on our product roadmap, so Datagate users in future will not need to press a button to trigger it.
