I have tried 4 different tools - Play.ht, Happy Scribe, Listnr and Voicely. Most of them are good (except Voicely) but none of them sounds realistic and voices are amazing with emotion.

When I heard the converted text for the first time, I felt like it's almost real. Best part was you can control and emphasis the words which is awesome. Over all good tool to have if you are any agency!

There is a slight robotic tone, unless someone is expert, other people were not able to recognize.

Overall, I had a good experience with the app. There are multiple languages, multiple accents and the platform's interface is very intuitive and easy to use. For example, for me, it has been as easy as typing a text and select the language and accent I wanted and generate the speech.

I used the free trial and I liked the fact that I could choose among multiple languages and accents. For example, I am a native Spanish speaker, in this case from Colombia. I wanted to generate a demo speech in Colombian Spanish and I found that option. I liked the result a lot. The voice sounded so natural as if it was produced by a real human female.

I did not like the fact that I could not download the speech generated. I mean, the allowed content with the free trial is limited, as there are only 5 minutes/month available. At least, I would have expected that this generated content could be downloaded.

I initially thought it was one of the better ones. But as it turns out it has been a total waste of money as I am going to have to redo everything I've used it for as I will no longer be able to edit it or add things using the same character voice. We use voices for specific characters in our case studies, but then Lovo delete the voices. That makes it a hugely expensive in time and money. I really wish I'd never heard of this product.

I don't like anything about it at all any more. Lovo have turned my view of them on its head, well done. It's a four letter word here.

You can't trust this company and its software. They DELETE VOICES without warning, with no explanation and no apology or understanding of the customer perspective at all. AVOID, do not buy, do not risk it or you may waste a lot of time using a voice which disappears. The basic disregard of customers who have creative projects that they may need to continue with or to edit in the future shows a complete lack of understanding of their service. A company is/should be more than the technology it uses, don't be fooled. You can ONLY use this for one-off projects you will never need to change. No way could you charge customers for videos using these voices is there, think about it, what if they ask for edits and you can't do it.

LOVO is very easy to use and I really like the outputs that are natural and not robotic like other tools.

- Easy to use UI/UX - Very unique selections of voices with great quality. Lots of them sound very realistic, not robotic. This is very important to me because I was looking at sever TTS tools but they were pretty much that same with the voices from the same combination of the TTS engines. But LOVO uses its own! - Speed of conversion is great. - Editing is super easy - Outputs are uncompressed WAV. We can get the media team to easily work on this for extra effects for the final products.

- While UI/UX is very easy to use, but it feels a bit too plain and boring. Perhaps modernize it a bit if possible, but not really necessary - No support for Thai language yet. It would be great it they can do this also.

I have tried a lot of differen TTS programs and most fall short. Most rely on Google's Wave Net, Amazon's TTS API, or IBM Watson's TTS. Lovo is different because the team created their own algorithms to basically clone someone's voice so the voices sound incredibly realistic. I love that part because I cringe every time I hear a robotic TTS. But many of the voice skins in Lovo sound great! I am also looking into cloning my own voice to use it for automating the conversion of my online content to voice. It would be a huge time saver!

Some of the voice skins are hit or miss. It's hard to tell which are good and which are robotic. If I had to say, I think about 50% are top-notch and fall into the 7-8 range for passing for a human while the rest are probably around 5-6.

I don't dislike anything so far, but if they can add more voices and do voice cloning at a cheaper rate, that would be incredible.

All in all, Lovo is a good choice for TTS generation, especially for voice-over of video clips, e-learning lectures, news update etc. I would recommend to try certain excellent voices - you will see the magic.

Lovo is clearly not the only option in the field of TTS. But Lovo has various unique features that I like: - The ability to generate voice-over for videos, such as e-learning, is great. It is quite easy and handy to do. - The customization of voices is great - Not all the voices, but quality of some voices are incredible - equal to top premium voices, especially in English. The fact that these are "hand-made" by Lovo is a big plus

The app should incorporate the ability to generate Podcast, or audio player that can generate audio directly from a site (such as a Wordpress plugin) and be embeded in the page The quality of some voice variants (such as German, Vietnam etc.) should be better. Various voices in those non-English languages sound robotic.

I wasn't expecting the voices to be as realistic are some of them are! Picking certain english voices with accents makes it even more realistic. I don't think i've ever been this happy with synthetic voices, aside from a service i was paying $99 a month for. Definitely canceling my subscription to that service.

after comparing various tts and doing more testing among the top few, i'm happy I made the decision to go for this LTD. just try it out for yourself and you'll be amazed on the voices. some do sound robotic, but there's natural voices which does a better job than myself. now i can rely on it to produce content without me doing all the speaking.

The limitation on the number of characters / words for download should be increased. Other than that, there should be function to add or remove lines in between instead of pasting the whole text again and convert from start.

Honestly this service amazed me with the quality of the premium narrators. I feel I got my own professional voice actors, at my beck and call. I have tons of use for this service, now that I know this kind of natural voice quality exists. What is so good is the character range, my mini production outfit now can cover the gamut of serious news readers to epic Spielbergian adventures!

I love Lovo as its one of the best in its class at parsing a natural sounding voice from text, that doesn't sound robotic. The service allows you to get great tonal range and diversity from the collection of voices provided.

Although the technical functionality is very impressive, the UI needs more refinement in terms of appearance and flow. It would just just help me love the platform if it this got more attention . Also if possible more tweaking of the intonation of the sentences and the Web site embedding functionality. It would be very exciting to see multiple reader feature on same body of text perhaps. These concerns are probably on the todo list of the service, I'm sure, as improvements rollout.

They market as "free" but it's not. You can't download unless you pay, which is fine. But they also don't tell you certain features are not available to all plans but the most expensive one, such as water mark in your video, or voices. Basically unless you pay $350USD a year, you get nothing. But of course, you don't find out until AFTER you've purchased the plan. Super deceiving. Buyers be aware! So if you compare their most expensive plan with other text- voice tools, they are much much more expensive.

I have been using TTS since 2016 for my animation and training purposes. I have used all major TTS service providers in the market. Most of the voices generated are quite similar and sound robotic, however, some TTS service providers have given the flexibility to fine-tune pauses, breaks and high/low tones.

The most beautiful thing I have found in LOVO is some amazing voice skins. It is so natural and polished.

I will suggest one area of Improvement (not a problem) to bring a feature of adding pauses, breaks and intonations. Also, I am looking for dialogue or more than 2 person's conversation features ( in the same Text box), where I can select 1 voice for 1 sentence and another voice for another sentence because it will help me and other animators to create voice-over for different characters easily.

I have very high standards when it comes to using AI to read out transcripts/voice over for my videos and all the previous apps I tried in this category sounded robotic. Using LOVO, it was very easy to adjust the speed for certain sentences to be quicker/slower, making any unnatural parts become natural again.

LOVO have a lot of different voices to choose from, and most of them sound very natural. I have used similar products before and they all have robotic voices to choose from, and even with adjustments, it is still unnatural.

Although they already have a lot of voices, they could add more voices in other accents, such as New Zealand, Chinese (Cantonese).

I like to see more language integration in future, if possible need to add more emotion in the audio voice would be very good.

I am glad to have got this. I was tired of the old un-natural sounding voices, so thought of giving this a go... Some of the voices on this are just amazing!! It is a unique concept and I think this had huge potential. If your workflow needs TTS conversion or even if you use it once a while... just get this. It is worth every penny!

The only con is some voices are low sound quality, if the quality of the sound can be improved, which I think the devs will, this is right there among the top ones.

I enjoyed using Lovo as it has a fantastic user interface and was able to onboard myself in a matter of a minute. These voices just rock and go beyond anything you previously generated with others from the shelf generators! It's next-level audio using some cutting edge A.I. generators. The pronunciation and emotional emphasis of artificial voices is evolving at a pretty quick rate, but the LOVO voices are currently one of the players at the forefront of this development.

Some of the TTS unique functionality in the offer include a classification of voices by age groups (like a child), Characters of voice (cartoon, angry, etc.). The pronunciation editor can help us fine-tune some special wordings, like proper nouns like a brand name.

The voices are so human-like. When I saw Lovo on Appsumo, I wondered how good the app was. I once read about its legendary voices. I had also read some reviews exploring user feedback. I already have a few other popular texts to speech apps that I have been using lately. I gave it a test and was immediately blown away. The voices are so human-like. I even had it try to say, “I love you.” I love the voices. Lovo is easy to use sends your text to the selected voice software, which speaks out your selected text in a voice that you have chosen. The app can be used to translate any text to voice and is good for voice overs. I will be using it to transform numerous contents into audio for listening. I went all out for the 3 tiers, because I believe that this is a good deal, worthy of investment and as the saying goes, “when opportunity calls….”

Download limitations. Needs to increase amount of characters

For my use case this is great. I mainly need this for video voice overs, and the voices they have are just what I needed. The voices sound great and aren't robotic (most of them, some needs more work). But what sells me the most on this are the unique character voices. There is one that sounds like a wizard (what I call the game master voice), and one that sounds like a cheerful teenage salesman. These sound so human-like and are full of personality. They should work great for ads and fun video. This isn't available to competitors so far, from my own experience.

The down side is not all voices have this level of quality. Only the great ones are really great. And some languages are not yet supported. There are some features found in other products I wish to see in LOVO. Play.ht has wordpress plugins, Listnr has podcast hosting, MicMonster has pitch/read-speed controls. I want to see more from LOVO in the future.

I'm not exactly sure how I'll use this software yet, but I am excited to figure it out. It's just an amazing tool that does exactly what it says it does.

I honestly went into this fully expecting to be refunding. I don't usually do that with deals but the examples on youtube, etc. I personally thought sounded pretty bad. I still wanted to give it a try as I don't have any tools like this yet and I felt like having one in my arsenal would be worth it. Imagine my surprise when pulling up some of these voices and customizing the text to their strengths. This is shockingly good! I sent some generated text to some friends and they said they 100% could not tell it was fake. Highly recommended!

I suppose there could be more features in general. The platform overall is super simple. Maybe folders would be good for organizing previously generated content. Also, some of the models sound bad to me but there are many that sound great.

There are many similar tools in the market, but they are mostly using typical TTS engines. Lovo has its own TTS engine. You will be amazed by its quality. There are many voices available, but watch out for the available languages that you need, but I believe it will be increased over time. You can define the pronunciation of words. You can also emphasize words by clicking the words and adjust the speed.

I hope there will be more fine-tuning features available. The editor is edited in sentences, so it may take some time to adjust to it. Prefer the normal text editor view and able to adjust by selecting words, phrase or sentences, so it will be faster to edit. There are UI/UX to be improved, and the team seems to be passionate and willing to listen for suggestion. So, I'm hopeful that it will be improved.

Easy to adopt, easy to use with great sounding voices.

I've investigated a few products for creating speech for my videos in other languages. They have never been good enough, especially the voices - they don't sound warm and authentic, they sound very generated. Well, Lovo is the first product that produces voices that would fool me. And that's good enough for me! I waiting for processing of srt files (for video captions) - it'll be a game-changer! Once that's there, my processing pipeline is pretty much complete. Take a listen to the voices - you'll be impressed.

Some of the limits could be increased, especially during the initial learning phase when you're trying different things to see what works for you, and burning through credits at the same time.

I have subscribed to a few direct competitors and wasn't sure if I needed this. However, the voices are wonderful. At this price point, I think it is a no-brainer addition to your toolbox. I will test it more and if needed update my review, but for now, I can definitely recommend LOVO!

It is a fairly new product, and there are a few UI improvements I could recommend, but I am sure this will be ironed out over time.
