Worth every penny
We haven't been able to really on email before using MailerSend. We were always worried that the email would go to spam or promotion, but now our clients sometimes say "how did your FIRST email got into my inbox with a star on it?".For us, email is critical for the businesses that we help and MailerSend has been playing a critical role. Better still, they have humans that respond and read what you write to them when you need. This is extremely important.
PROSIt has a strictly anti-spam police and this benefits those that use email as a tool to deliver messages that the client wants to see.
CONSI have tested a lot of softwares on the market, the only thing about MailerSend is it's pricing, but overall it can double our open rate which in turns makes it even cheaper that every other tool.
Reason for choosing MailerSend
At first, I tested their quality of service (SMTP) and it was greater than everything I have seen and tested. And gosh, I tested a lot. But their support and easy to use interface was glorious.
Reasons for switching to MailerSend
We never do spam and always try to send only emails that our clients asked for. Yet, I was tired of being punished and losing accounts of clients on Amazon SES and they just say "you have something wrong but we won't tell you. Fix it but we won't respond you". MailerSend told me when something wrong, blocked my account and, uppon my response, they unblocked in 10 minutes (because I always follow the rules). Despite the numbers and algorithms telling something, a real human has unblocked account because he could understand what happened (and it was not my fault). In Amazon, my clients lost their accounts in the most critical moments.

PROSAfter messing around with Mailchimp and walking away unhappy, it's been a godsend to come across Mailersend (& Mailerlite). The layout is extremely clear, it hooks up to Zapier, and the one issue I had due to not reading the docs properly was cleared up by support in minutes in a personal and friendly manner, which is extremely impressive. For small businesses who want to automate their emailing as much as possible (using Airtable - Zapier - Mailersend) this is absolutely perfect. Also, for small businesses, the pricing plan is extremely fair. Though most importantly, everything's landing in inboxes.
CONSSo far, all is good. Can't wait to start breaking things ;)
Reason for choosing MailerSend
We're not a huge company and don't need extremely complex functionality. We don't want to work with huge companies who takes days to deliver generic responses back in support, and don't want complex pricing models. In addition, some of the reviews online of competitors when it comes to getting spam-canned are quite worrying.
Reasons for switching to MailerSend
Mailchimp is way too clunky, complex, expensive and unintuitive for us.

Avoid using unethical companies that behave in an autocratic way. We need to stand up to this mistreatment.
Mailersend just refused any discussion about why our recently created account was shut down and not approved from the start. I am representing a small organization that is behind one of the most famous City Marathons in our country, which already has a 5 year experience behind. I am creating their new website. This cold, unjustified refusal is humiliating and incomprehensible and we feel mistreated in a way that never happened to us before. And again, running an organization with such a serious and noble cause, like promoting health and team spirit, where people from different backgrounds come together, we thought that at least we deserve an explanation for being refused. So at least we could improve in the future or understand where we went wrong. But they didn't even have the nerve to share that. If your excuse is "It is our right to refuse any client without justification" then this autocratic way of running a company has no ethical reasoning behind it. Sure, it is your choice and oyu have the right to do that, but it will surely cost you a lot in future. Running a business in an unethical way always costs a lot in the long run. This refusal sends a lot of doubt: were we refused for some wrong doing, or are you just discriminating because of where we come from? Is it because of something we did or didn't do, or you just don't like us? I hope everybody will be able to read this before making the right decision, because it is one thing to run a "successful" or "good" company, but it is another thing to run an ethical company with principles. Also, they made us lose valuable time in back and forth exchanges, only to just kick us out even before we try it out. In the other companies, even competitor companies, we are at least given a chance, but here, they are saying that we don't deserve a chance. What kind of reasoning is that? It is beyond words.
PROSNothing, I didn't even get a chance to use it.
CONSThe fact that they don't justify why they refused us their service. I would accept being refused if I did something wrong. It would at least help us to improve the next time. But being shut down without any justification? Totally unacceptable.
Reasons for switching to MailerSend
I like a lot mailersend's offer, it would have offered us a smooth transition from free to paid plan as we are growing. I love sendgrid and smtp2go, but because the company I am creating the website for is still small, I believed that mailersend is a much better match for their use case. I was wrong.

Once decisions are influenced by choices, servitude mode goes out the window.
My experience was good until like most tech stories, a classic of pulling critical features from under your feet when you have invested a lot of time into your setup(In my case, two years of work). On many grounds, users come first and then you work backwards, if your going to make a big change, you as well don't let it affect people who have been with you when you started(better yet, not even promote your breaking change as just an update).
PROSNot here to recommend, the features even if they come good today will likely be pulled from under your feet a few months to come. Mostly without a solid logic backing it, just choice from some third party influence. In turn all features go out the window, if you will be blocked from using it down the road.
CONSThe people behind the software, their methods, just completely not fair when they start making decisions that affect real-life people who have invested a lot of time into their products. A complete disconnect with what and how we use the product. Integrity, a big lack of it.

One of our better decisions to switch from a large provider (probably the largest) to MailerSend!
Very positive, and the point i would like to stress the most is the fabolous MailerSend support. We where so disappointed with our prior mail providers support that this experience which we had with MailerSend support was a blessing from the start on. Short response times and really tech savy & competent support contacts (thanks Abdullah and the others!). This is for sure the major benefit of switching to the MailerSend.
PROSFor us deliverability and reliability was the most important factors. MailerSend made it their mission to send reliable transaction emails, this specific focus was what got us as most others have their focus on newsletter (mass sending but not reliable). MailerSend's software has all the features we needed and which we where already using with our prior provider. The API is well documented and thoughtfully implemented, the deliverability was good from the start. Really really glad it went smooth as it did so far!
CONSIt is a minor drawback, and to be fair only a drawback because MailerSend provides an additional feature compared to others to start with. The feature is retrieving the content of sent template emails, the drawback is that those emails are not parsed. So we had to implement our own parsing which in some way nullified the advantage of parsing content from MailerSend.
