Worth every penny

We haven't been able to really on email before using MailerSend. We were always worried that the email would go to spam or promotion, but now our clients sometimes say "how did your FIRST email got into my inbox with a star on it?".For us, email is critical for the businesses that we help and MailerSend has been playing a critical role. Better still, they have humans that respond and read what you write to them when you need. This is extremely important.

PROS

It has a strictly anti-spam police and this benefits those that use email as a tool to deliver messages that the client wants to see.

CONS

I have tested a lot of softwares on the market, the only thing about MailerSend is it's pricing, but overall it can double our open rate which in turns makes it even cheaper that every other tool.

Reason for choosing MailerSend

At first, I tested their quality of service (SMTP) and it was greater than everything I have seen and tested. And gosh, I tested a lot. But their support and easy to use interface was glorious.

Reasons for switching to MailerSend

We never do spam and always try to send only emails that our clients asked for. Yet, I was tired of being punished and losing accounts of clients on Amazon SES and they just say "you have something wrong but we won't tell you. Fix it but we won't respond you". MailerSend told me when something wrong, blocked my account and, uppon my response, they unblocked in 10 minutes (because I always follow the rules). Despite the numbers and algorithms telling something, a real human has unblocked account because he could understand what happened (and it was not my fault). In Amazon, my clients lost their accounts in the most critical moments.

Great value, INCREDIBLE support, and extremely easy to use.

Extremely good! Really look forward to zooming up the pricing tiers as we grow so we can give some more back in return :)

PROS

After messing around with Mailchimp and walking away unhappy, it's been a godsend to come across Mailersend (& Mailerlite). The layout is extremely clear, it hooks up to Zapier, and the one issue I had due to not reading the docs properly was cleared up by support in minutes in a personal and friendly manner, which is extremely impressive. For small businesses who want to automate their emailing as much as possible (using Airtable - Zapier - Mailersend) this is absolutely perfect. Also, for small businesses, the pricing plan is extremely fair. Though most importantly, everything's landing in inboxes.

CONS

So far, all is good. Can't wait to start breaking things ;)

Reason for choosing MailerSend

We're not a huge company and don't need extremely complex functionality. We don't want to work with huge companies who takes days to deliver generic responses back in support, and don't want complex pricing models. In addition, some of the reviews online of competitors when it comes to getting spam-canned are quite worrying.

Reasons for switching to MailerSend

Mailchimp is way too clunky, complex, expensive and unintuitive for us.

Avoid using unethical companies that behave in an autocratic way. We need to stand up to this mistreatment.

Mailersend just refused any discussion about why our recently created account was shut down and not approved from the start. I am representing a small organization that is behind one of the most famous City Marathons in our country, which already has a 5 year experience behind. I am creating their new website. This cold, unjustified refusal is humiliating and incomprehensible and we feel mistreated in a way that never happened to us before. And again, running an organization with such a serious and noble cause, like promoting health and team spirit, where people from different backgrounds come together, we thought that at least we deserve an explanation for being refused. So at least we could improve in the future or understand where we went wrong. But they didn't even have the nerve to share that. If your excuse is "It is our right to refuse any client without justification" then this autocratic way of running a company has no ethical reasoning behind it. Sure, it is your choice and oyu have the right to do that, but it will surely cost you a lot in future. Running a business in an unethical way always costs a lot in the long run. This refusal sends a lot of doubt: were we refused for some wrong doing, or are you just discriminating because of where we come from? Is it because of something we did or didn't do, or you just don't like us? I hope everybody will be able to read this before making the right decision, because it is one thing to run a "successful" or "good" company, but it is another thing to run an ethical company with principles. Also, they made us lose valuable time in back and forth exchanges, only to just kick us out even before we try it out. In the other companies, even competitor companies, we are at least given a chance, but here, they are saying that we don't deserve a chance. What kind of reasoning is that? It is beyond words.

Nothing, I didn't even get a chance to use it.

CONS

The fact that they don't justify why they refused us their service. I would accept being refused if I did something wrong. It would at least help us to improve the next time. But being shut down without any justification? Totally unacceptable.

I like a lot mailersend's offer, it would have offered us a smooth transition from free to paid plan as we are growing. I love sendgrid and smtp2go, but because the company I am creating the website for is still small, I believed that mailersend is a much better match for their use case. I was wrong.

Once decisions are influenced by choices, servitude mode goes out the window.

My experience was good until like most tech stories, a classic of pulling critical features from under your feet when you have invested a lot of time into your setup(In my case, two years of work). On many grounds, users come first and then you work backwards, if your going to make a big change, you as well don't let it affect people who have been with you when you started(better yet, not even promote your breaking change as just an update).

PROS

Not here to recommend, the features even if they come good today will likely be pulled from under your feet a few months to come. Mostly without a solid logic backing it, just choice from some third party influence. In turn all features go out the window, if you will be blocked from using it down the road.

CONS

The people behind the software, their methods, just completely not fair when they start making decisions that affect real-life people who have invested a lot of time into their products. A complete disconnect with what and how we use the product. Integrity, a big lack of it.

One of our better decisions to switch from a large provider (probably the largest) to MailerSend!

Very positive, and the point i would like to stress the most is the fabolous MailerSend support. We where so disappointed with our prior mail providers support that this experience which we had with MailerSend support was a blessing from the start on. Short response times and really tech savy & competent support contacts (thanks Abdullah and the others!). This is for sure the major benefit of switching to the MailerSend.

PROS

For us deliverability and reliability was the most important factors. MailerSend made it their mission to send reliable transaction emails, this specific focus was what got us as most others have their focus on newsletter (mass sending but not reliable). MailerSend's software has all the features we needed and which we where already using with our prior provider. The API is well documented and thoughtfully implemented, the deliverability was good from the start. Really really glad it went smooth as it did so far!

CONS

It is a minor drawback, and to be fair only a drawback because MailerSend provides an additional feature compared to others to start with. The feature is retrieving the content of sent template emails, the drawback is that those emails are not parsed. So we had to implement our own parsing which in some way nullified the advantage of parsing content from MailerSend.

A boon software for early stage startups for email services

For an early stage startup who has cash crunch, MailerSend is an extended support hand which can solely take care of email services. This software is awesome and I highly recommend for any early stage startups.

PROS

1. Customizable templates are designed very well. 2. Developer Friendly - Ease of deployment and handy placement of CTAs 3. Dynamic content is easy to replace and the process is very simple to trigger the emails.

CONS

1. Analytics & Reports - Give an incorrect timings often 2. Gives only 3 email templates in the startup plan and no duplicate option. 3. Mails are going to spam/promotions. Settings page is confusing.

Best entry-level transactional email provider

I set it up in one day. I had a delay because I'm using Cloudflare and forgot to set my DNS records to "only dns" to bypass their proxy. As soon as I did it, my account was active and ready to be tested. After sending 20-30 emails I applied the "upgrade" for the Free plan, and that was it. It's been working with great deliverability rates since.

PROS

The free tier is very generous at 12k emails/month, perpetually. Which makes it perfect for a small size e-commerce or growing online community. Since it has a pay-as-you-go model, you can use it even for higher # of emails without having to commit to higher monthly fees elsewhere (specially for volumes that will go unused).

CONS

So far, I haven't seen any on the technical side. On the cost side, after 20k emails/month it would make more sense to move to a different provider, I wish they could review this, as is not ideal to jump from provider to provider as one scales. It would be preferable to just stay under MailerSend, maintaining the economical benefit.

Perfect to set a tech startup on fire

MailerSend, coupled with Heroku, is an easy and strong way to serve e-mails serverless.

Excellent service

Very good value for money. Our volume of emails is quite low so we don't have to pay anything. Setup was very easy, there's a package to integrate directly with Laravel. Service has been very smooth sailing. We encountered our first problem yesterday. MailerSend's support team replied to my request for help very quickly. Their support team understood the problem and their development team fixed the issue promptly. Quite a refreshing change from my usual experience with other companies' support teams. I'm a very satisfied customer.

MailerSend Customer Support

I reached out to support for an issue that was on my end and the support team responded very quickly and was eager to help. They truly cared about solving my issue even though I was still in the free tier for now.

PROS

It had been extremely reliable and fast.

CONS

My only real issue is that the response returned from the npm javascript library/api does not return either an error or valid json when there is an error, This makes error handling extremely difficult when trying to determine if an email succeeded.

more generous free tier and no hassle for my legitimate use of the software as a transactional system for my clients. Sendgrid required a lot of forms and pleading to use for my own clients.

Best api mailer for next js

I'm using it in a react project with next js for transactional emails, the installation was very easy with npm, the documentation about apis are very clear and the free tier is enough for small and medium projects.

PROS

Affordable version of Mailchimp with faultless customer service.

I've used Mailerlite for 5+ years and there have been more than happy with the service. Failed emails is upsetting when you have a large sales campaign that is time-sensitive, but every time the customer service staff are eager to help, timely responses and so nice that it soothes me!I have a hefty web of automation working with Zapier and that integration has been nothing but smooth - great segmentation and customer management.

PROS

Ease of use & automation features - I use an older version of Mailerlite that encompasses landing pages, automation and email campaigns & analytics in one. I've used it for 5+ years and the best thing about this software is the customer service.

CONS

At times there are snags in the system, but whenever I've had a failed campaign (maybe 2-3 times a year) the customer service team have been on it immediately and super helpful and polite. Sometimes the rich-text editor can be buggy - but it's my preferred template so I have workarounds for those bugs (like writing in a separate doc and copy pasting text over to avoid over-deleting of content).

Amazing product and outstanding support!

What's really worth mentioning is the outstanding customer support. Replies within minutes with an extensive answer and implementation examples.

PROS

MailerSend is extremely easy to use and super fast to set up. I was able to send the first email via the API in minutes. With the predefined templates and drag&drop editor you're able to do a real quick start.

CONS

In the beginning there were some features missing - but now everything I need is there. The only improvement I'd still love to have is being able to choose the location of the data centre (in terms of GDPR, an EU location would be much appreciated).

Best transactional email service

I have a mass mailing service and I need the emails to be delivered without going to SPAM and with mailersend I can have that guarantee and communicate with customers in a secure way.

PROS

After researching several providers and testing a few, after using mailersend I found it to be very straight to the point and very simple to use, with an excellent price.

CONS

I had a lot of difficulty validating my email list using mailersend, but that was resolved with mailercheck, which is a tool from the same company.

Reasons for switching to MailerSend

With regard to gmail, the sending service using external applications has been discontinued for some time, I tried using mailgun which was a good solution, but still some emails fall into spam and worse it is quite expensive.

CONS

Stay away from mailersend at all costs. Mailersend is a 'HASSLE-FOCUSED' company. They use their terms of service to manipulate customers into using their platform but when their platform sends 100% of your test emails to spam (or missing) and you know you've configured your DNS properly and have a reputable domain to send from, they don't care about that or when you request a refund for really bad service and results. It's a scam with empoyees forced to flaunt that it's a great place to work all over their website (what other companies do that??) when the leadership team is probably dysfunctional and isolated. If you don't believe me sign up to their platform and send test emails using a reputable warm up platform. (not using glock apps because companies like mailersend know how to get good scores using that app) You'll see that all or almost all of your emails from the warm up process are going to spam or missing. THAT'S A MAJOR RED FLAG. People who have given mailersend rave reviews have clearly not really tested the platform. That probably explains why mailersend is one of the few platforms that cannot deliver what they claim they can. I would recommend a 'terms of internal practice' review for mailersend and maybe even dump Ignas. It might be time for a major shakeup.

I was saved by Mailersend

I was making a switch from Amazon ses after they blocked my account without providing any reason. I don't spam and I send only high quality emails to people who have explicitly given the permission to send them emails. I was looking out for Solutions when I found Mailersend. They came like a savior to help me. (Further I was able to connect my SMTP service with them that allowed me to use my own email tool instead of using another web based tool )

PROS

Easy to setup. Inexpensive compared to Monkey (You know whom I am referring) and They are super nice when it comes to support. They come with a pay as you go model saving you from random costs for email marketing.

CONS

I don't think I have explored this side of the house yet. Don't see any negatives about them so far. They come with a pay as you go that saves you from hassles.

They blocked me for no reason - Neither they provided a reason later. They are so shady that they don't allow you to send emails to your own valid email list (permission based)

Great Service, very good product

I really love MailerSend. Tried it for a month and changed to a yearly plan after about ten days.

PROS

Mailersend is so simple. Everybody can use it. And it's way better than Amazon. I'm so happy I've found it. And Service is really great: fast and calm!

CONS

If I have to say something: The stats could be longer than two weeks.

Very bad customer experience

The customer service is terrible. I was able to use MailerSend in a project once; however, the two other projects where I recommended MailerSend received very bad treatment. The account was denied approval for no sensible reason, and one of them even got suspended. This is after effort had gone into integration with the applications being built. I have gone back to Postmark for my peace of mind

Easy to use API and great customer service

The customer support is great! They are very fast to reply to your request with a solution.

PROS

It is quite easy to create new templates and send them through the API. There is also a generous free tier. Up until now, we didn’t have any problems with receiving mails.

CONS

There is no TypeScript support. Type definitions would help the development.

There is a generous free tier and you can start nearly instantly. Also, compared to some competitors, you can send mails to accounts outside the verified domain.

Mainly because of the price.

Terrible Approval Process and Support

PROS

I have not had a chance to try out the features as I did not get past the approval process. I only gave 5 star for the other rating points because I believe this is a good service from my experience with Mailerlite for whom I only have good things to say and it is them who recommended Mailersend as an affiliated transactional email service.

CONS

Their approval process and support is horrible to say the least. I had an issue with the domain and was not approved. It took several emails for my issue to be addressed and at the end I was told that I would never (ever) be approved without being given the reasons why. Apparently, according to the support respondent, they have automated checks which I failed and for which they cannot provide insight. I have the philosophy that people should come first, ahead of any system. Mailersend should and must provide insight for rejecting account approval and not place the blame on the "System" without giving reasons why. I am of the strong opinion that if Mailersend is going to deny me service, they at least owe me the courtesy and decency to tell me why.

Very good service and very useful for us users
