The offline review tool needs to work before I can give it my wholehearted recommendation.

Absolutely useless for ordinary non-professional literature. This is not a translator in the classical sense.

Benefits will include time and cost savings, when implementation is completed.

I handle translations and am able to save a translation memory that is useful for further work, making my work faster.

I really appreciate how helpful it is for translating/reviewing, the fact to be able to easily create memories and glossaries of all the projects I worked on.

The interface is easy to understand and many useful features are included to help translators doing a good job.

I also personally love the videos and resources that are available to help troubleshoot any issues.

Nothing I can think of the moment other than the cost - sometimes freelancers have a very limited budget.

It is soooooo damn difficult to use!!!! I have an B.A. and M.A. degree in Translating and Interpreting and took university courses about Translation Tools.

One version corrects previous bugs, and adds even worse ones.

Its translation memory was difficult to set up at first, but I was finally able to get the hang of it after watching some Youtube tutorials.

This program is probably the closest to the industry standard. It's extremely robust, with lots of add-ins the expand the capabilities.

It helps save a huge amount of time. Once you completely master it's use, the advantage is undeniable, especially if you're a freelancer.

The feature to create new glossaries from already translated documents is perfect and really useful.

Excellent compatibility, easy to use after learning, used and accepted by almost every provider.

A very good software overall, anyone starting out as a translator should take advantage of Trados trial before committing to buy it, they should ready their pockets though.

I had to install it on a PC. Once installed I did have a hard time getting to know how to use it and have it learn (localize) the content in specific texts.

Trados handles everything from large files and TMs to complex formatting with relative ease.

It is a great software program for a translation agency and freelancers. It is a great quality product.

In addition, it ends up to be as expensive as 5 licences of MS Office Pro, which is infinitely more complex and has a fraction of the problems.

There are often unexplainable bugs that can slow down projects and make life plain frustrating.

The company has a multitude of helpful apps, and launches interesting products and updates quite regularly. Visually, the website layout is very appealing.

This tools suffers from an abundance of features that only a small fraction of users actually need or use.

The software is not very stable and has an annoying tendency to crash, especially when using with large files.

Easy to learn, worth the investment, makes my job easier and faster, helps me keep the same format as the original document.

The software may freeze or present some errors that force you to reopen it. It may also have a hard time working with MS Word file full of tags.

It covers all the standard bases as well for a modern CAT tool, and is usually the only CAT tool you'll see fully integrated in other translation project management tools or TMSs.

Translation Memory management is great, userinterface is friendly and doesn't take long getting used to.

I have to say I hate the fact the in order to be able to work with terminology, you are required to purchase a separate – and costly – tool.

Great experience and excellent quality product.

It is powerful and I still have to come across a file type which Studio could not process. The SDL App Store is also a huge benefit and the integration of plug-ins just makes our work even faster.

Most of the time, when you know a technical issue with Trados, most of translation agencies of the world already know how to solve them. Also, the support team is super available and helful.

Features specific to ARB extension and singular/plural translation is missing.

The main thing that I liked about Tolgee was the documentation, flexibility and their customer support.

We really like text editing and in context translating, I think it's a great way to add non technical teams to localization processes.

I like that is really great for using it for a team at the same time, it syncs, and also that keeps good track of status changes, plus the search is great either with tags or something specific.

The integration process is very easy and the support is great.

Hidden text like error messages are translated using the web interface of Tolgee app. Deployment is really easy, just save the translations and upload them to the production.

The keys limitation on low budged plans are a little steep.

The ease of use, the setup is easy with docker and kubectl.

Also serious collaborative/workflow tools are missing.

This way our clients have an easy to use way to edit translations of the platforms we build. Tolgee supports all kind of i18n features like plural, etc.

I liek how easy it is to alter translations. Very bussiness sie friendly.

Easy to use interface and modern set of APIs for seemless integration of my app update pipeline.

I mostly used Figma plugin and it is the main reason I have stopped using Tolgee, because it was really annoying to choose the keys each time.

This made it an appealing option, delivering excellent value and enhancing operational efficiency through its supportive functionalities and ease of navigation.

Even though Tolgee is lacking in extra features, it really makes up for it by getting the core functionality right, being easy to setup and use and having a great API/API clients.

It currently doesn’t have some kind of draft mode. That‘s the only thing I am missing.

It enabled high productivity and feels very intuitive to use. I love that you can self-host it, a must-have for some bigger projects.

So far there's only one thing that is slightly annoying - the error messages that sometimes pop up during active use.

Tolgee is a really great tool for localization.

Tolgee covers both of them well and also offer great tech/customer support on their Slack channel.

Everything works perfectly. We translate the most important texts right in the website.

It was easy to get started with Tolgee and since we are still migrating progressively the application texts we don't have to worry about paying for an absurd price.

From a developer experience the documentation can be a bit lacking at times. It helps that there's a slack for support but more could be done to reduce the onboarding pain points of the platform.

What I like the most is the automated translation which is very accurate and help me translate everything in a very short period of time. The collaboration in team is also very easy.

Open-Source projects like Tolgee making it to big space is beautiful and we've been following the journey.
