The functionality and features are fabulous, we got up and running really quick and the benefits it bought to our team were great. We were working quicker with less errors and better communication with our Tutors. #### Cons We are a small business and cant' afford to pay for the development of our bespoke processes. However, as a start up, there is so much potential for Tutor Cruncher to grow. All of our processes are not currently supported by Tutor Cruncher, however many of our business requirements are met. It is an exciting journey to be on with Tutor Cruncher, as they are open to our feedback and ideas for additional functionality for the system to be driven forward and grow as a product. No incentive was offered TutorCruncher seems to be a small company that is spreading themselves too thin. Their main platform has great potential, but it either works for you or it doesn't. There is no customization unless you hire a developer, but then you have to pay around $200 a month to be able to access whitelabeling and custom CSS. Currently the company is looking to add additional features without fixing old issues that are making their system outdated. Although our business is located in the US, the platform still does a great job with managing some of the basics. With TutorCruncher, you can offer private and group classes online or in person. You can also automate sending out links (using 3rd part conferencing platforms) for upcoming sessions. You can easily bill your clients and tally up payments for tutors and trainers. #### Cons TutorCruncher has made it very very apparent that they are focused on increasing revenue. With several of their last updates, you can see that additional charges are going to be added. For example, you can white label the platform, but you have to pay $100 a month for the domain and now they want another $100 to utilize custom CSS... Really???? And the problem is that it is not intuitive whitelabeling.. .you need a coder to get this set up and continue to maintain for you. The next part that has been a massive fail is their attempt to offer a video platform with recorded sessions for students. Their system has been slow, buggy and more expensive than other proven technologies... Instead, they should focus on ALLOWING their integrated video platforms to easy share video recording access... THat would be a huge win for their customers. Everything that is added is based on the UK, so they add new features that really are relevant to the tax system in the UK. (from billing and payment perspective) Now they are thinking about adding in an LMS... Personally this is too little too late. With so many robust LMS options out there and with the poor quality from their launch of their video platform, I feel they are putting their efforts in new ways to generate revenue rather than improving the clunky experience of their current platform. Customer service is poor. All our tutors easily understand how to use it without nearly any training. Customers are very comfortable logging in and giving us their CC. Overall, just fantastic. #### Cons Every once in awhile I'll come across a missing feature. I then need to create a personal bot for our company that makes up for it. The agents try their best, but language barriers seem to be an issue. The questions don't get answered fully the first time round, there is a lot of back and forth until the agent understands what you mean, often you figure out the answer yourself in the process (by elimination) and I have been given wrong information in the past, such as that it is possible to split payment three ways - it is not!! This then caused issues with tutor payments. Our tutoring team would love there to be a built-in spell check for reports and outgoing emails! #### Reasons for choosing TutorCruncher As it was two years ago, I don't have the names of the alternative products that we were considering. That said, at the time, we had built a spreadsheet to compare features and pricing. We set up initial consults with the different companies, as well as did a trial of the product. We found Tutor Cruncher's staff to be the easiest to deal with. We knew this would be crucial during the implementation stage and something we'd still continue to appreciate! In our initial conversation, we appreciated that there wasn't a set script that was "Well, that's just the way our system is set up." Saves me from hours of admin in the long run. The priority support chat is also very useful and has detailed and speedy responses. A huge part of my job before Tutorcruncher was chasing payments, now that students save their card this is a rare job for me. I also love being able to see all the statistics, how many students are on our books, how many jobs are running and the income each week/month. #### Cons Occasionally things come up that the system isn't able to do. We launched our private tutoring service with 0 clients and 10 tutors and they were incredibly supportive and diligent from day 1 helping us towards success. Today they resolved a software error in less than an hour. They've thought of nearly everything in the software and I'm a massive fan of their iconic socket. I understand TutorCruncher is now facing several competitors but I can only give the highest most sincere recommendations. #### Cons The software is fantastic, a few nit picky improvements could be: pagination in TutorCruncher socket and ability to create seperate TutorCruncher socket for different types of tutors.
