Acuity Scheduling is a cloud-based appointment scheduling software solution that enables business owners to manage their appointments online. The product caters to the needs of small and midsize businesses as well as individual professionals.

Acuity Scheduling lets users automate appointment bookings by offering a real-time view of their own time available. It has the capability to automatically sync calendars according to users’ time zones and can send regular alerts and reminders to users regarding their appointment schedules.

Acuity Scheduling’s scheduling feature set includes customizable intake forms, embeddable calendars, third party application calendar synchronizing, and group scheduling for workshops.

Cons

Again the only thing I do not like here is a monthly charge.. Software even though it does have issues, should have the option to just buy it outright.

We don't use Acuity more than a few times a month; if we did we might consider moving over to another scheduler, but so far it hasn't done us wrong and we've had no calendar misfires!

Pros

Acuity makes it hard to miss a step when setting up your scheduler. They offer client intake forms, follow up emails, easy ways to block time off the calendar, and customizable features.

Cons

Their customizable client form editor is definitely wonky; we've had to reach out to support pretty much any time we've had to edit it. The entire process can appear confusing on first glance.

It's great, but...

Easy to use. Had great support in the early years. Meets my needs in a small mental health practice.

Cons

Recently, they have switched to email only support and access to third-party "Aces". The personal touch was absolutely great in the early years. Now, there support response time is about the same, but you don't necessarily get the same person on an issue. If it's not resolved with the first tech who gets your email, then you may have to start all over again with a new tech support who may give you a whole different take on the problem. It's confusing to say the least. NO PHONE CONTACT any more. Also, recurring appointments are a nightmare. Or at least recently. They do not copy over to my google calendar. Tech said they never did. But that functionality was working for years. Now, they say the last appointment in the series is the only one that shows on users or the admins calendar if they wish to add to google calendar. This is crazy. I am really disappointed. After years of loving them, I'm now trying to find a new provider : (

I'm so glad I found Acuity. It's easy to set up, provides different time zone support, and so easy to customize! But most of all, I love how it automatizes my business and I don't have to schedule my appointments myself (or have someone else do it).

Cons

Since it has so many customization options, sometimes I get lost in the process. But all the pros outweigh this con by far.

I absolutely love the ability to have my clients pick their own appointments. There’s been more than once when I had a client who had such a busy schedule that we couldn’t pinpoint a good day for their appointment over the phone. I just had them go in and pick a time and write themselves in! It saved me so much time so that I was able to focus on other clients. I was also able to share calendars with my co-workers so that everyone had the correct schedule. I just really wish that there was phone support just in case something did go wrong with us trying to figure out all of the features. Hopefully, that will change in the future.

Pros

By far, the best feature is the ability to have clients schedule their own appointments. As a busy person, I don’t often have the time for the back and forth of scheduling a client. With Acuity, they can look at my schedule, see when I’m free, and then put themselves in wherever it’s convenient for them. I also like that the calendars adjust for time zones. This is helpful if you have clients all over the country yet don’t want to have to figure out the time differences. The tutorial for Acuity was very informative and made using the program a breeze. Having the calendars sync up for groups is also very handy rather than having everyone input the info individually.

Cons

Sometimes, there is such a thing as too much. Acuity has so many features that it’s overwhelming. There is no way I could use every single feature, so it seems like overkill. It’s also made even more difficult because there is no phone support. If I had a number I could call, perhaps they could explain to me what each of the features does that way I’m not so overwhelmed. Phone support would also be handy in case something breaks, most likely from trying to figure out the different features. With something as important as your schedule, you need to have almost instant solutions, and lack of phone support means you have to wait to get a response, which costs time and money lost.

This is a really cool way to schedule appointments, but I'd hate to be a vendor in this space. General-purpose appointment setting is rapidly becoming a commodity product.

Pros

I liked the ease of setup and connecting with my g-suite-based calendar. It was relatively painless and simple to connect, configure and use.

Cons

Honestly, there was nothing bad about it. It was simply that I was able to find essentially the same functionality for a lower price in Calendly.

I was recommended this website by another colleague and I am very happy to have discovered it!

Pros

I like the organization of the website, and how easy it is for clients to access, and use the options available. It makes my job a lot easier by having them manually book their own appointments, rather than I negotiating times available for their services. It saves me a hassle!

Cons

I dislike the payment settings. I wish there was an option for clients to pay via e-transfer, or another platform where I don't have to pay extra monthly fees to other companies.

I have looked at many, many different booking/ scheduling softwares and acuity scheduling is the only one i found that can do what i need as well as enjoy its quirks and design.

Pros

It is very refreshing in the way the words certain things
The layout is easy to use
The tutorial they provide is very helpful and not overwhelming
Adding, removing or changing an appointment is easy
This app allows you to modify it so you can offer "overnight" bookings
You are able to do multiple bookings
You are able to do reoccurring bookings
Acuity scheduling also links up to your QuickBooks account
And so much more!

Cons

The mobile app of this software doesnt offer the same amount of options as the online one.
A bit pricey but definitely worth the money if you are going to use it everyday.

It is one of the most intuitive scheduling software I have used so far. It has variety of customization options and also the integration with other platforms so far has been flawless. Some minor issues, if resolved in future updates, can make it a perfect choice.

I don't miss appointments. My clients can schedule their own appointments. It has eliminated to back and forth of phone calls to schedule meetings. It's optimized my time and i have not had one double booking yet.

Pros

It works, it’s affordable, and as a small business owner, I don’t wake up in the morning worrying about how effectively people schedule for my business.

Pros

Very straight forward and easy product. The forms feature for the scheduling widget allows me to collect information, including photos if needed. It matches my website’s coloring scheme and is seen less with our branding.

Cons

Nothing at this time, I do not need every feature offered by Acuity, but if I need a feature it has it. So maybe it isn’t the most simple of options compared to less bulky competitors, but still simple non-the-less.

Acuity is great as it allows me to plug into my funnels when I am on-boarding clients.

Cons

At first it was overwhelming, but that can be said about anything. I really like how there's customization options, but I haven't played enough with it to say what would be wrong with this. Any problems that I may have, acuity has a website that has videos to help me integrate this into my business structure. This seems like a tool I don't see myself dropping anytime soon.

Also, I like the lightness in the communication. The company comes off as "real" and not stuffy. I appreciate the humor and fun correspondence. Actually makes me smile.

Pros

It's easy to use. I tried another platform and found it challenging to maneuver and quite frustrating. Acuity offers just about all I need to schedule and track clients. I am not tech savvy, so if I can use this, anyone can!

Cons

Since I work with clients I know, I like to use Zelle. Not a biggie, but if there was a way to use this function easier would be icing on the cake!

I love the fact that I no longer have to multitask with media messages for appointments and/or cancellations and much more..It offers a wide choice for business backing.

Acuity Scheduling is my own personal admin control that allow me more time to focus on my product. It IS the administration arm of my business and offers exciting organisational fawcets to enable me to concentrate on delivering my solutuions for health issues. So excited to have it and relieved I chose it.

This scheduling service totally got me started in my photography business! I was able to book my first client and take payment straight from the app! It syncs with your calenders and blocks out time to show your availability. It allows you to make special coupon codes for clients and customize your packages or items offered through your business. An absolute love of mine!

Cons

Not a thing I could find wrong about this software. I would only ask that they allow payment acceptance for free users.

Having recently switched to Acuity I have been really pleased, it is easy to use and to set up. Managing it has been really simple. Clients being able to set up an account and manage their own bookings has been a massive time saver too.
Being able to access and manage via pretty much any device has been great and as mentioned, the integration with calendars, website and social media has been seamless.

Pros

Integration with calendars (automatically adds appointments to my calendar whilst blocking off events I put in my personal calendar)

Love it just too expensive. I literally pay less for Adobe PD and LR. And those are programs i use a lot.

Pros

It really is easy to use and set up. Everything is thought out and makes it easy for clients to book online. Super impressed how everything connects.

Cons

Unfortuntely with the exchange rate it is just too pricey for me at this time. I will review payment again once my business becomes busier and possible a client uses it. So far no one used it. So maybe they want more personal ways of booking for a photographer

I love the idea of letting clients book in for meetings to check up on work and discuss projects. It means that I can set appointment times and they can choose the time that suits them best.

Cons

The cost. I'm a freelance writer and artist and to be honest for what I need it for, the Emerging level is the one I need to make the most out of it, but the monthly cost was just too much for me.

Problem was actually with GotoMeeting and not Acuity Scheduling. GotoMeeting was very helpful as well and got me up and running in no time.

Pros

Super impressed with support teams response time, follow-ups, friendliness, ease of contact, and thoroughness. I hope more companies would be as attentive and caring to their customers. Thank you team !

Cons

Its actually with myself in that their is a learning curve needed to use all the powerful the software has available to me.
