Fiber Optic Project Management
Pros
EADOC was able to customize their software to our needs in tracking a horizontal project over a very large geographic area. EADOC was invaluable is allowing us to track our project.
Cons
We were not able to use all aspects of this product for our project.

Pros
Software is very easy to learn and use. If you are at all familiar with construction documentation, you will be "up-to-speed" within an hour or so. Vendor support is "spot-on", responsive and knowledgeable.
Cons
I wish this software had been created 10 or 15 years ago.

A computer program from the 1980's
It's mandatory we use it, otherwise we would not.
Pros
The report module quickly generates accurate snapshots of project progress and exports data via csv, PDF, and html. The reports are simple and easy to navigate.
Cons
The submittals, work report, and RFI modules are less than adequate. These modules are frequently used by our project and resemble a computer program in its primitive stage of development. These modules are not user friendly, difficult to navigate through and using this program to track submittlas takes significantly more time on my end.

At first I thought the software was somewhat cartoony and unsophisticated, but the more I use it the more I like it over other document management software I've had to use (NewForma, Basecamp and iBuild, to name a few). EADOC is simple, intuitive, and gives me just the tools I need to do what I need to do, which I much appreciate versus overly complicated systems like iBuild and Basecamp. I'm not sure about any of the implementation of the software or the decision to purchase this software over other software as I'm just one of the end users. I haven't used the customer support feature, so I gave you 3 stars. I'm sure your customer support does a fine job, though.

A construction management software with great value for money !
I would recommend the software for users who are interested in multiple aspects of their software into one product. It is an excellent project management tool, if nothing else, because it integrates interesting and useful features into one solution. In addition, I was pretty intrigued by their pricing model; I guess it is value for money!
Pros
The interface was pretty simple and, frankly, has wonderful colors. Most software seem to be stuck in seas of blues or some other muted colors. EADOC is bright, bold, and colorful. In addition, the interface is simple

We use EADOC for project management of two different multi-million dollar federal civil works projects related to water conveyance and storage. We were looking to improve the submittal/approval process and manage these projects more efficiently. Despite the usual set-up snags, implementation went relatively smoothly and users seemed to have no difficulty navigating through the site. Documents are entered into the system as "requests" which caused confusion in the beginning because of the terminology. However once the basics of how the EADOC system works are learned it is quite intuitive. One issue is the apparent inability to print each individual submittal, letter, drawing, construction change request, request for information, pay estimate, etc., of the entire project in one batch, i.e. for official filing purposes. In effect we are still having to enter and process documents through EADOC, plus printing and storing the same documents in our main office files. We have not had any issues that would require help from customer support. Otherwise it seems more than adequate to easily maintain and retrieve docs electronically.

Use with submittals
Pros
We have less copies to make; we do not need to use the mail as much although the savings does not offset the cost of the system. I would think the inconveniences of the system, as with any software, will be worked out.
Cons
With respect to submittals, in my opinion, it is very poorly suited to our (my government office) needs (it resembles a computer program in its primitive stage of development) & the cost benefit ratio is extremely high. Handling submittals through this system takes significantly more of my time as the one that deals with submittals. However, it would be easy to correct the problems that result in the extra time. For instance, I have to maintain a separate submittal table because the one in EADOCS is inadequate for our needs; in addition, it is inconvenient to use.
