YAPI Paperless Dental Software


 

YAPI is a cloud-based dental solution that caters to specialties of dentistry and orthodontics and helps them to manage their day-to-day business operations. The solution can be used by both staff and patients.

YAPI offers features such as built-in patient scheduling a digital imaging module. Patients can also fill out and electronically sign forms within the solution. YAPI's practice dashboard module facilitates office communication using real-time data.

YAPI's appointment-confirmation and recall module allows dentistry practices to schedule automated email, postcards, text and voice messages within the solution. YAPI also features an automated module for collecting and pre-screening patient feedback and facilitates posting this feedback on external review sites.

YAPI is compatible with the iOS operating system and supports integration with iPad. Services are offered on a monthly subscription basis that includes support via phone, email and FAQs.

Pros

Great customer service, lots of training and videos to use. Very user friendly. Can customize to your needs.

Cons

The only thing that I wish was a little different is the conformation records. I would like to be able to click on the patient in the que to see a running list of text communications.

Pros

Easy to use. This program was very well thought out for the need of the dental industry. Our staff really appreciates it.

Cons

Its a lot to process all at once - but they give you the tools to help you. They provide good reference videos.

Enables us to register patients online before the patient steps in the door. Auto confirms appointments, sends reminders.

Cons

Hard to get in touch with customer service. Sometimes you have to wait a while before issues get resolved or fixed.

Pros

YAPI is amazing! We are a brand new office that has been using YAPI since we opened in April of 2017. We are completely paperless, I can communicate so easily with patients and even the patients say how much they love the reminders they get through email/text! All the staff I have spoken to on the phone for training have been very helpful and pleasant. He did most of the training sessions and I have had to email him questions here and there. He always replies promptly and if it's not something he can directly help with he directs me to who I need to speak to. YAPI has made my life so much easier by how user-friendly it is. I HIGHLY recommend!

Overall the convenience of the program is ideal and it pairs well with our dentrix program. However the time that it takes to recreate forms to make them compatible is a major downfall. They are also not set up to communicate with our medical practice management and EHR program.

Pros

We have yapi installed on our ipads for the patients to complete their new patient and updated patient forms when they arrive. It's a simple as selecting a box and the paperwork can be completed quickly.

Cons

You have to create the fillable version of all your forms to have it done the way you want it as the support staff doesn't have the ability to change a word document into a fillable version. I've spent countless hours recreating forms to make it compatible with the software. Ideally the support team would have the mans to do this for the customer.

Pros

Contains all the features we need in a messaging/reminder/paperless system. Pleased with the sleekness of the look

Cons

The messaging system is difficult to keep track of messages sent out to individual patients. And the window is small.

-all features are customizable

Cons

-the patient tracker for patient check in:check outs is included with the appointment reminders. it’s a little cumbersome if you asked me. too much clicking to navigate your patient

Ease of use and great customer service. Very quick to respond to questions.

No issues with either the product or the vendor. Some older patients get intimidated by the idea, but they have few issues working with it.

Recommendations

We have gone paperless so patient forms and communication threw out our office are done threw yapi. All consent forms are also done threw yapi. Its simple to upload into dentrix threw the document center.

Pros

I like that you can have patient's sign documents right on the ipad. There is no need for another device for patient's to sign important forms.

Cons

I dislike how many clicks it takes to complete something. I feel things would be better if it was just a one click or drag option.
