Happy Customer

So, there is one thing I have learned over the years when it comes to online reviews. Generally you will see more bad reviews than good because when people are upset about something they will be more eager to share their experience. That is unfortunate though because it tends to make things look uglier than they really are. Anyway, let me just say that I have been a SunShop customer for about 2 years now. I utilize both their hosting and SunShop software and I absolutely LOVE their services. The thing that impresses me the most is the fact that they are constantly improving upon SunShop. New themes coming with each new version lately and new integrations which are always free and not a separate addon you need to buy like most other carts. I can always get support when I need it and I have yet to have any downtime on the hosting side. VERY happy with my decision to go with TWT and looking forward to more updates and features.

Great online storefront with solid features

Overall, it is a great product. Having taken the time to learn it's complexities, and having observed a steady history of maintenance and improvements by the vendor, I would happily choose this platform for other endeavors over learning a new platform. It does the job quite well.

Pros

Sunshop's online storefront feels agile in managing inventory and content. While care is needed when managing details, it has a nice range of multi-level admin settings tailored to protect beginner and advanced users. The learning curve is not too steep, and it's fairly intuitive once familiarity sets in. The customer side feels engaging, and as long the company is well expressed it coveys a sense of trust. From a variety of tools and options that include site style, logo placement, banner pages, and expression for special events, this is a solid platform with analytics and revenue tracking. A great product, and at a good price!

Cons

I found the tutorial library to not be as user-friendly as the product itself, but is nonetheless thorough in the areas that are covered. However, some information is limited to the paid support feature.

WORST SHOPPING CART SYSTEM AVAILABLE TODAY

I am writing this review to save save my brain from the countless hours of banging against my desk due to frustration with this company's software. Lets start with SunShop, their shopping cart system. DON'T EVEN BOTHER. It's NOT "TurnKey" like they advertise and requires hours of setup and program source code modification... That's not including the countless hours you will spend trying to figure out how to modify the terribly coded system. You need to be an advanced PHP programmer to even get it embedded into an existing website. And their customer support and live PHP helper system? They don't work. At all. The people on the other end of the line are clueless... you won't get any REAL help IF you can get past the countless re-freshes, errors, and freezing of the live helper during the middle of chats with them. This is a summary of my findings. DON'T go with any software from this company. There are plenty of GOOD alternatives for everything they offer.

way better and much easier to use than my previous cart software

allowed me to easily increase the amount of products offered on my site

Admin are is easy to use and makes processing orders straightforward Easy to edit templates Great value for money Plenty of built in options including reviews, gift certificates etc

Cons

As a UK based customer there could be more options for UK payment gateways Updating large numbers of products at once can cause timeouts, but I'm not sure if that is down to the cart software or a hosting issue.

Very poor tech support. The telephone line is not answering. 1-800 line is not working and down ""Let's us call you feature" generates script error On line support is very often not connected regardless that you are first in line You have to have PHP experience in order to implement this cart. Problem with credit card processing.
