Lever is a cloud-based solution that offers ATS and CRM functionality in one single platform to manage the hiring process. It helps teams of all sizes to source, nurture and manage their candidates, all in one place.

Lever offers automated workflows, integrated sourcing tools and interview scheduling. Lever also has employee referral functionality, including shareable job links for LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, as well as a Google Chrome extension that allows employees to put a referral in the company pipeline from their browser.

Lever enables users to leverage data and reporting with customizable reports and tools, and visual dashboards allow for prioritization of specific metrics. Various assignable access levels give people the data they need while keeping applicant data confidential.

Most new team members have no trouble adjusting to Lever and comfortably using it. You can often play around and find answers to your questions without having to reach out to support.

Cons

Too simple at times. Could be a bit more robust in its functionality. We often run into issues with integration via other softwares or our accounts.

Data security and privacy when you're outside of the United States is a big concern when using Lever. I need to double check data security and privacy.

This software is extremely helpful since HR concerns are quite complicated. It makes us do our work diligently. This software is worth it's price.

Pros

Lever is one of the best modern recruiting software available in the market nowadays. It's algorithms makes hiring process simple and the way they do the Applicant Tracking System is superb. No more messy paper works and chaotic system. Thanks to this software the recruitment process is now effiecient and more systematic than before.

Cons

Most of the time, it is experiencing system glitches that maybe a results of their updates thus disrupting our hiring process. When it breaks down, we're back to doing things manually. They can do better than that. I am hoping they also do routinely maintenance check and notifying users ahead of time of possible disruptions so we can have our back up plans.

I will definitely continue using this app. I liked its simplicity yet it is highly functional.

Pros

It is easy to use. User friendly. Interface is not complicated and very easy to navigate. It made our job so much easier after using this app. It helps in filtering the applicants that we are looking for based on our company’s needs and qualification.

Cons

Very basic but I don’t think it should be considered as negative since it adds convenience to user. I guess they just have to add more features and update the current ones to step up their game.

Keep it up, Lever!

Pros

The question is what isn't there to like about Lever? From Customer Service to ease of use, to onboarding managers and down to metrics, everything is easy to use, easy to access, easy to share, etc... Every time we have an issue, we are guaranteed to have it fixed quickly and correctly. And they were always just so positive. I have used multiple ATSs before and this one is by far my favorite. Within the first day, I was able to accomplish more than with the system that company had implemented prior to my arrival.

Cons

There is literally nothing that we don't like about the product. It will be a real hard sell to get us to leave.

Lever is easy to use and mobile friendly our company loves the UI especially our Head of Engineering. Love that there is a seamless integration with google suite.

Cons

Some features need to be added and would love to have more integration options. For example our integration with DocuSign. Since we can't change the order of signatures in Lever we currently have to send outside of Lever.

- adding offer fields should have the same capabilities as adding req fields. Instead of having just a text box option to enter information.
- If we can pull req info into the offer form that would be great. That way offer approvers are able to see that everything that is being offered is within budget since our FP&A likes to keep a close eye on budget.

The suite helped free a lot of time that otherwise was consumed by admin tasks, specially when hiring sales teams (where you may hire 4+ at a time). Software is very easy to adopt and use. Can't say it's intuitive so take the proper time to configure workflows and links.

Cons

As with all platforms that will work at the core of the business, it requires an initial investment and you will need to train/educate the team that will use the platform thus ensure things run properly. Company local expertise will developed as they use the system.

The system has certainly saved me a LOT of admin time, which I appreciate considering we hired 8 people last month and wouldn't have been able to do that otherwise. Easy to get set up and easy to use. Take the time to get set up properly and use the workflows, i.e. easybook links, to maximise time savings.

Cons

It's an investment up front and obviously have to train the team to get up and running smoothly, but worth the effort and an intuitive interface.

Pros

They have their own page. Even though our website hasn't been launched yet, we can just copy and paste the Lever link and everybody can apply! Hassle free.

Cons

To change pipeline, I need to contact the support team instead of doing it myself. There are 13hr differences, so my team need to wait for 1 day until the changes applied in our lever.

I'm glad that my company invested in ATS like this. All my work is so much nicer and easier! I feel like someone remembers things that would be hard to manage by my own. I feel like it helps to organize better and moreover it increases an effectiveness.

Pros

I really appreciate how intuitive the software is. Also, it's very handful for every recruiter - I don't need any assistant to remember about meetings, candidates who prefer contact in the couple next months etc.
I had a chance to create my own steps of the recruitment process and templates, I have all data in one place! Lever also cares about GDPR and job board which is beyond helpful.

Cons

I would love to have a "freeze option" which would be very nice in case of a process which is stopped for a while.

My overall experience with Lever is very positive. I have experienced other applicant tracking systems and this one is much easier to use for the company and the candidate. I would encourage companies to look into this system if they are seeking a different software.

Pros

I like the simplicity of the software. Candidates can easily just upload their resume and it's done. I have heard many complaints before about how tedious it is for people to apply for jobs. This software makes the user experience much easier.
I also like how you can message other people, such as hiring managers, inside the candidates profile to bring awareness to the candidate or something on their profile. That is a cool feature.

Cons

What I like least is that it was sending our emails to candidates spam. It took us a while to figure it out, but we did.

There are some neat features like Lever Nurture which allows you to create small email drip campaigns to potential candidates. Some flexibility and ability to scale with requisitions and job postings.

Cons

My company decided to implement an ATS, so I contacted about 10 different ATS vendors and Lever was, by far, the most impressive vendor I could find. The platform has all the bells and whistles we're looking for, and some. From the demo/vetting process all the way through implementation, Lever and it's staff have been exceptional.

A huge part of our reason to go with Lever was because of the customer support we've received. Our Account Executive (Andre) was very knowledgeable, patient, and thorough when working through the selection process and our Implementation Specialist (Monika) has been wonderful as well. Her follow-up and dedication to make this roll-out as seamless as possible, has been outstanding. We're very happy with our decision and would highly recommend Lever to other organizations who are looking to enhance their recruiting operations.

Pros

The UX/UI is the best I've seen. Lever has all the tools and capabilities we were looking for plus some.

Cons

I haven't been able to find anything yet.

What I love most about Lever is its simplicity. I mean that in the purest way... it's just so simple and easy to use. Rather than having an extremely complicated candidate application process - Lever can take a resume and auto-build a basic candidate profile. Additionally, I cannot describe how helpful the offer letter templates are. Being able to generate my offer letters easily and directly through Lever has effectively saved our team hours of time.

Cons

Although I love the simplicity - Lever is a very "bland" looking software. As far as user experience and visual flair, Lever is very vanilla... pretty cut and dry software.

Lever definitely deserves 5 stars, customer service is superb and incomparable to their competition. We changed our previous system for Lever month ago and it already tremendously improved speed and quality of our work. The product is state-of-the-art when it comes to ATS' systems and while it needs a bit of polishing, Engineering Team is working super-fast to fix bugs and implement features. We love the product but we love the company, even more, Lever Team is extremely helpful and supportive. We learn from them how to treat our clients.

Having past experience from using Lever, I knew it was my go-to ATS when I started my own recruitment company. Although not originally intended for external recruitment agencies, I find it to be a useful tool for our work as well – as a result we might not use all the features (e.g. the agency platform), but for all intents and purposes it's the best tool I've found.

Customer service has been great, the only downside being that as there's no local support in Europe, we usually have to wait until the next day to get a reply. Not a big issue, but worth noting anyway. If you want to customize the recruitment pipeline steps and archive reasons you can't do it yourself, so in that sense it's not the fastest tool to modify on the go. Still, it's a great tool overall!

It was ok. I've had better experiences with other ATS's however, Lever would be one of the top 3 out there.

Pros

Has most of the capabilities you need at a talent acquisition professional.

Cons

The customer support took quite long to get back to you if you needed to make any changes or had questions whereas an ATS like Greenhouse, has live chat. For a fast paced, high growth company, time is critical and having the ability to make changes on the fly is very important.

You need to contact support to make any changes to your interview workflows. This was a very big pain point.

The ease of use is head and shoulders above any other platform I have used in the past!

Cons

No cons here! The features and functionality are much better than Greenhouse.

We are a small to medium sized Australian tech company and we recently implemented Lever. I could not praise CSR our Implementation Specialist enough for all the help she gave us throughout the implementation. As Lever is a US company CSR was on a different time zone to Australia but was always there to help no matter what time of day it was. Lever itself is a fantastic ATS, their API is robust so it integrates with lots of other tools. It is a simple system to use with good UX. The only con I would have is that it is focused on the US market more so than Australia.

Pros

-Simplicity
-Ease of use
-Good customer support
-Good integration API
-Great reporting functionality.

Cons

-More suited to US market - doesnt integrate with alot of Australian systems.
-Although it integrates with Seek you still have to post the advert in Seek so it doubles up the work.

Overall, I have always enjoyed using Lever and have appreciated the feature and integrations updates they have continued to make over the years which has definitely improved the ease of use.

Pros

I have been a champion for Lever since I began using it over 4 years ago. It's an ideal ATS for small recruiting teams and has helped streamline the recruiting process while being the source of record for candidates. The platform has great integrations with sourcing tools, hiring platforms, and new-hire tools like background checks and HRIS systems. Overall, I have really enjoyed my time using this platform.

Cons

The cost can be pretty high for the basic software so I'm some smaller companies or startups would not be able to afford this technology.
I've always struggled with the reporting section. I find it highly confusing and I don't always feel the data is 100% correct. This can be hard as reporting on data in Recruiting is very important, and you want that data to be correct if sharing it with the leadership team or hiring managers.

Love the software, could use a little better CS.

Pros

Love LEVER! It is an amazing ATS for our company. The software is organized and easy to use!

Cons

CUSTOMER SERVICE: horrible! There is NO phone service available for the customer service team, and that is insane. When asked why... The rep let me know they are "too busy now" to speak on the phone.
