Cons

The system does not allow for employers to upload their own forms and then create signing templates.

I felt like I was sold a bill of goods and now I am stuck. Everyone knows how difficult and time consuming it is to switch software platforms. Had I known then what I have learned since, I would never have switched.

Pros

Functional look, fairly intuitive software.
If I only had employees in one state, I could probably get by with the system issues and quirks.

Cons

Not enough customer service reps, I always sit on hold. Taxes are tied to job titles, so when someone changes depts or gets promoted it messes up the employment taxes; who does this?. They run as silos; so if you use them for HR and Payroll, those are 2 different depts and a rep in one can't help with issues in the other area. Promised an Expense reporting module was "in the works", never happened. They have referred me to 2 different outside vendors, neither of which has compatibility with their system.

Really miss having the History button available.

Pros

Somewhat easy to understand/use. It's nice that you can stop mid-way through and it will save what you have done so far. This is helpful in case you need to stop and start again.

Cons

Some things that we were able to do with the old system are not available in the new system. For instance entering hours per pay, not having the history button available.

This company does so many webinars and really shoots for the millennial market. I definitely recommend this company.

Cons

I wasn't a fan of their sorting methods. I had to interview with a sales rep before I could even enter the conversation about what they have to offer. It felt as though they wanted to make sure they weren't wasting their time.

Extremely easy to use, I was up and running in under an hour. Very intuitive system plus there were plenty of online videos available to help clear things up.

Cons

I did feel like I was getting charged for things that other companies were providing for free, for instance some of the setup and year end fees. However the ease of use more than made up for this in my mind.

Cons

Feels like some data can be lost not because it isn't recorded but seems like unnecessary nesting. In order to look at Time Attendance for example, there are several clicks to get to that screen.

Intuitive software setup. Very easy to maintain and process payroll. They are able to set up and design your payroll to your specific needs.

Cons

Only complaint is that they seem to switch their support staff frequently. You get comfortable in your service provider and staff changes. Appears to be a lot of movement within the company to other positions. Also added the timekeeper module and it ended up being pricier than expected.

Pros

Paycor is rich in functionality. It does a great job in time keeping and has performed for payroll flawlessly once the bugs were worked out (which are inevitable when converting to a new system). Just about everything can be tweaked and changed to conform to a companies policies. You can drill down deep to give customized access to companies, groups, and even individuals in that you can assign a group to an individual, then customize their unique profile to give them access to the specific functions they need. The reporting is about as complete as you could want. There are standard reporting templates for just about anything you need, then you can customize these or build from scratch and keep the reports you want to use on a regular basis. Their help desk people are amazing and respond quickly with solutions. They are not hesitant to bring in other help desk employees if the answer is outside of their knowledge base.

Cons

Because the program is so rich in features, sometimes you need to use the 'Help' features to learn how to do something new, or refresh yourself. The 'Help' feature leaves a lot to be desired. When you search a feature, you usually get mostly questions from other users and even if you are very specific on what you are searching for, you often have to dig through a few pages to find your solution.

The Security of the program- always need an access code, and easy access to reports is easy with which to work, also it is a plus to have a representative to help.

Aside from the following issues, I've had some very friendly & helpful service. I do not have other experience with programs/companies like this to compare functionality/quality so it is really difficult for me to discern some of the ratings.
1) Some people in the same departmental/hr vs t&a vs payroll areas do things differently so if your rep is busy and doesn't respond to your e-mails for a week, a new person does not understand some of your functions. 2) I've had trouble with my reporting features not providing correct information and it worries me that there might be even more higher priority type items that are also not reporting or working correctly. 3) The two sides are not cohesive, such as calling someone a manager on one side and a supervisor on the other. I like that you can make them two different people, but calling them different names is confusing.

Pros

Almost always receive friendly helpful service. There are many options for customization. Mostly an easy to read and use interface.

Cons

If you don't set it up, some of the additional benefit/functions are very difficult to understand. I often have trouble setting up various items and would like to have a preview/test button before I share something to everyone, etc. The "OK" button after punching in/out is causing many double punches from people pressing Enter on their keyboards. Many employees complained for the lack of insight & instruction to the changes on this when they were made and do not think this particular interface is user friendly.

Constant workarounds; promises made but not kept. Still dealing with implementation issues that were not addressed and we've been live for a year.

Ability to access many location. It is cost effective software. Customer support is timely and knowledgeable.

Cons

Some users (Employees post time manually at various times) feel that it is cumbersome with too many clicks. Employees enter time some times 2 and 3 days later. This is actually the problem.

Paycor provides one stop shop for your employee information. My favorite feature is the vacation/time off feature. Not only is this information easy to process, Paycor provides dashboard analytics so users can quickly locate their vacation and sick time balances.

Cons

I've used other software's in the past and the one thing Paycor lacks is the ability to locate a future date for a vacation and it automatically calculates what the balance would be at the given time frame based upon the rate of return that you receive in your benefits package.

It’s a simple view, easy to understand for registering employees as well as existing, you can access and print any check stub or W-2, the color scheme makes it’s look professional and modern.

Cons

I had no issues with it. Sometimes it wouldn’t load and show the check stubs the day before pay like usual, but other than that I’ve had no issues.

We use paycor to manage our time and attendance of a little over 100 employees. Meets the needs of all federal requirements for our business filing/transparency. Allows employees to request vacation via the portal, view their vacation inventory etc. Mobile employees are able to clock in and out while on the move. Overall a great secure product.

Pros

Easy to use once you get the hang of navigating it. Very secure with logins.

Cons

Can be a little difficult to edit employee's missed punches sometimes.
