Pros

It is very easy to post a job to Zip Recruiter. Additionally, you are flooded with a large amount of candidates in a very short period of time.

Cons

Very often receiving candidates who are too far away from the job site. Also receive candidates who are pulled in, but not a good fit for the role.

We have filled plenty of jobs using Zip Recruiter and would recommend giving them a try.

Pros

Zip Recruiter does a lot of advertising which brings a lot of candidates to their site to apply. You can easily set up knockout questions to narrow the candidates down to the ones that truly fit your needs.

Cons

The amount of candidates that apply and do not have working phone numbers or that apply from other States/Countries when posting general labor jobs.

Great centralized place to look for jobs. Great filtering feature and the app keeps on track to apply more if you want to play the numbers game.

Cons

Applying through it is not always a great idea as you may miss on very important details available on the website of the company. On the app, its not easy to upload new resume and it does not pull from Linkedn.

Cons

Most roles indicate a "must have" a bachelors degree or higher, which takes me out of the pool, since one year short but having 30 years in the industry holding credentials. Another age should not be an issue nor a question, I am 61, how do I know if that would also remove me from the pool?

Pros

Replies of an application and at least an acknowledgement of an application and was interview for the position.

Cons

Not getting the position. It's had to add to that when the cons are few and limited. I am not seeing any other issue.

They have a number of cool features that let you keep track of your candidates, their status, organize their resumes as well as communicate with them. Pretty much an all-in-one tool for the hiring process

Cons

They push their product as universally applicable to all industries - however the candidate pool seems to be more tailored for low to mid level administrative work. You are unlikely to find any good candidates for blue collar industries.

Good tool, as long as there is some thought as to when you use this tool vs. Linkedin and other job boards.

Pros

Easy distribution to a number of sites, with less data entry required. Also, allows you to see all of the areas that your position goes to, and the possible audience your position is distributed to. Produces alot of applicant traffic.

Cons

I have found this is a better tool for entry level positions. When using this tool for some harder to fill positions, I found I had good applicant flow, but not qualified applicants.

Overall, Ziprecruiter is a nice tool to have if you are looking to hire someone quickly and want to review a high volume of candidates for a given position. For hiring more qualified candidates there are better softwares other there that ensure greater quality control than Zip ecruiter.

Pros

The great advantage of Ziprecruiter is that is an extremely well designed software and it makes the recruiting process look less daunting and it can also be used over the phone. Ziprecruiter is also relatively inexpensive compared to its competitors and does a good job matching the recruiting requirements with the candidates interested via an interactive dashboard.

Cons

Ziprecruiter falls short of providing quality candidates and it needs to do a better job in ensuring the keywords match to the correct qualified candidates. A particular posting can virtually be applied by a lot of candidates who may have unrelated experience so there is a high need for better quality control inside the software.

Our account rep is always responsive, which again, I can't say for its competitors.

Pros

ZipRecruiter is straightforward - both in use of the product and the sales and administration of the product. I always feel like I'm getting what I'm paying for, and I know what I'm paying for - which I can't always say for Zip's competitors. Also, the pricing is rather affordable.

Cons

Zip is primarily positioned to reach contract or lower-level candidates. It is not going to be as useful in recruiting anyone at a more senior level of responsibility - for that you may need something like LinkedIn - but for about 5x the cost.

This site is easy to use all you do is sign up, upload your resume and start applying. The site also has 1 click apply so you can just click and it sends all your information to the employer. Another pro is that it lets you know when someone viewed your application multiple times and lets you know that you are ahead of the game as well.

Cons

This is not a site for like retail or hourly jobs it is more for office and executive level jobs. Good for entry level jobs in departments such as HR, Admin, Business, Entertainment, etc.

The best part of this program is I was never blasted with emails after I HAD used Ziprecruter. With all the junk and spam today I think it’s kinda ridiculous these bug guys are blowing up our emails.

I think ZipRecruiter is extremely beneficial for the job poster. I've had positive experiences with this service and recommend it for small to medium size-businesses.

Pros

Unlike some competitive programs, I believe ZipRecruiter does a fantastic job of sifting through applicants. Features like pre-screening questions weed out underqualified candidates before even reading a resume. I also think ZipRecruiter offers a high quality app that is simplified for both candidates and job posters.

Cons

I think this software can be intimidating to some potential candidates. The application process is size businesses than high-quality sending a resume and can be too time-consuming.

Cons

They have no consistency with sending out job alerts. You set what you want but they'll still send you jobs way outside of what you're looking for. And the amount of emails sent from them is insane!
