We struggled with competitors for years before finding ZipRecruiter. The software scanned applicants and presented us with the best possible choices for our company. We hired over 5 individuals using this software alone. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

There are no cons to ZipRecruiter at all and I would not have even filled out this section if Software Advice hadn't require it.

Great tool to help in recruiting general labor candidates

The cost of service is an issue as it has gone up a significant amount over the last 3 years.

Pros

You have the ability to screen candidates on ZipRecruiter before inviting them into your office. There are also screening questions that you can add. Example: Do you have a valid drivers license and your own transportation? Do you live in Cleveland? etc. You can also rate the candidates and email them through ZipRecruiter. This will definitely save you time in screening applicants that do not fit the bill.

Cons

Candidates will apply for multiple job openings and there is not a way to avoid having multiple recruiters calling the same candidate unless you pay for the PRO service. Once you rate a candidate or reject a candidate the rating or rejection does not always show up on the menu causing other recruiters to contact the same candidate multiple times.

If you are willing to pay the fees you can find an amazing cadidate but just remember that nothing is free in this world.

Pros

ZipRecruiter is a great company with a great staff to help you out. What we have found is that in hiring professionals for our medical practices it can be expensive to hire using a recruiter. ZipRecruitor is less that a typical recruitor and they have may different candidates to choose from. Everyone that we have interacted with from ZipRecruiter has been very nice and very helpful overall.

Cons

Pricing is the biggest con. It is less expensive than using a standard recruiting service but not by as much as they would lead you to believe. For the free use of applicants you get to see, there are older out of date resumes that are either not looking or never respond to requests. If you are willing to pay you get to see another group of applicants that you will be able to find a great candidate with. Just know that you are not likely to find anyone during your free period and that you need to pay to find a great candidate.

Cons

Get "instantly matched" to 100's of websites didn't work so well. There was too much advertising and non relevant jobs sent to my email.

ZipRecruiter is easy to navigate to place job postings. I like that I am able to create knock out questions when I am not requiring the applicant to be pushed to the company ATS.

Cons

Not a good platform for hiring hourly restaurant employees when already using an ATS; works well for salaried positions as long as not pushing to the ATS.
Not able to start and stop subscription online like it was before; requires a phone call to the company each time to stop.

if you link ziprecruiter through jobdiva or other ATS it will enhance your Database, you will get multiple profiles. By posting Job on different job boards you will get so many candidate profile, and most of the candidate are relevant and very responsive. advance search is also nice. mostly candidate are very actively looking for job through ZipRecruiter. i have made so may good submission through ZipRecruiter.

Cons

The only little issue with ZipRecruiter is that sometimes you get a non relevant profile on particular job posted. sometimes you get nontechnical profile on technical job. you have to review all the resume very carefully.

I used ZipRecruiter heavily just over a year ago as well as here and there occasionally since. Everything I tested was responsive and worked as expected.

Would I recommend? If you are in need of employment or employees in the technology fields that ZipRecruiter focuses on the ZipRecruiter is a valid and capable choice. It has a clean design and doesn't get tiresome after putting in hours for you job/hiring search.

Pros

It has a very simple layout/design and intuitive user interfaces. Black, white, and pops of green keeps your attention focused on the information at hand. On the aspiring employee's side of things it is fast and looks clean. The focus on the technology-based fields was what drove me to choose Ziprecruiter. The specialization makes things either on both sides of the equation, in my opinion. Job seekers have fewer listings to sift through with a high percentage of relevancy, whereas, the employers receive applicants experienced in their field.

Cons

Take caution with the inciting scam advertisements that make their way into the listings. (Don't fault them for this one too much. All job boards deal with this to some degree and ZipRecruiter isn't anywhere near the worst.) From my memory I never had any issues on the site other than ones that were of my own doing, such as a messed up resume for a time when I uploaded the wrong file. My biggest complaint is that the algorithm for recommending jobs rarely alerted me of things that caught my eye.

I really like, as an employer looking for employees, that I can keep application assessments, candidates, resumes, and even scheduled interviews all in one place with the portal that they provide. Having also used Zip Recruiter while looking for a job, it's great when they let you know that your profile has been viewed, and how many times it's been viewed, and whether other candidates have had similiar luck in profile views. The communication is really nice so you know that your resume is active and actually being put into the searches.

Cons

It's hard for me to come up with a con. I've loved everything about it when I've used it on both ends of the spectrum. I guess I wish that I could do onboarding through Zip Recruiter, since the information is already there, and I wish I could run background screenings. Not a huge inconvenience, as we have other tools for doing those two things, but a one-stop program for all of those features would be nice.

I did like how it continuously sends you resumes for jobs posted, the inflow of resumes and Candidates was steady.

Cons

I found that although I received plenty of resumes, a good portion of them did not really fit the job at all.
