NetSuite Software

NetSuite Manufacturing Edition offers an integrated inventory, warehouse management, accounting and financial management, order management, customer relationship management (CRM), and e-commerce platform. Offered as a cloud-based solution and delivered over the web, NetSuite can be used by manufacturing businesses to manage production orders, ensure base inventory level restocking, and ensure the success and quality of special orders. In addition, the system also supports inventory for multiple locations, assembly management requirements, bill of materials, work order management, diverse methods of measurement, barcoding procedures, and other necessary business processes in the manufacturing industry. It can also integrate shipping processes with mainstream carriers, such as FedEx.

NetSuite Manufacturing Edition can help track down leads and turn them into finalized orders, while also tracking the association between production and revenue for manufacturing companies. The business dashboard is customizable and allows monitoring real-time business operations.

As with other SaaS packages, the system can be accessed online, with less upfront cost and a substantially less complex implementation process.

we evaluate the purschase of this software last year, and i didnt meet our manufacturing requierements , but for a company with basic manufacturing process or a distribution center is perfect !

Pros

it is web based, and that makes it easier to mantain / install, you can have access to the software from any device or place. it has all the modules needed for a company

Cons

when you are a manufacturing company, the bill of material or the part routing are very basic, if you have a complex manufacturing process this software is not for you

If you are looking at a software upgrade that you want to launch your company into the 21st century, consider NetSuite.

Pros

Very user friendly, customizable, and tailored to our needs. We have a great team dedicated to our conversion, they are very thorough in the questions they have asked in order to make it work specifically for us. The online training is very thorough. I will be able to manage financials and information for several companies from one dashboard, and have the ability to combine information without using separate Excel spreadsheets.

Cons

That payroll and HR can't be processed in house as part of the entire package. It is a separate SuiteSolution add on and is processed by them.

If I had to pick 1 ERP of all the ones I've used (well over a dozen) in my career, I would go for NetSuite for a for-profit, not-government, not-defense contractor business.

Pros

Netsuite has an intuitive user interface, is easily installed, scalable, and is a new product (by ERP standards) written for cloud computing. It is fast, reliable, and is sure to see more growth in the Mid-size (50-300 employees) market.

Cons

Like everything Internet, NetSuite is subject to the whims of your browser. It can be slow at times. Reason could be anything: NetSuite server, your ISP server, your PC.

NetSuite ERP is a cloud ERP solution and provides proven financial management and ERP that easily integrates with your broader sales and service processes

Pros

I have administrated/implemented Oracle + NetSuite for a couple of years and have found that is a very versatile product, that truly one of the most scalable ERP systems I've ever encountered. This product is always available to my users wherever and whenever they need access, designed for global commerce and the global supply chain. NetSuite can hold all of a companies accounting information including amortization schedules, journal entries, bills, vendor information, revenues, cost of sales, and so much more. Every single accounting function an organization does can run through Netsuite. Companies are able to upload directly to Adaptive Insights, which is a great tool to do forecasting and budgeting.

Cons

The only drawback of the system is that the UI is not as clean as other tools that we use like Salesforce and Adaptive. These tools have extremely intuitive, user-friendly, and graphically appealing UI's.

NetSuite is a great product that keeps updating and upgrading their modules to make the product better. Great software.

Pros

NetSuite is cloud based and easy to use. From the workflows to making payments, it is consistently easy to use.

Cons

Not always intuitive. Setting up and running saved searches can be a very difficult process, especially since it doesn't give you any clue as to why your formula doesn't work. Also, when exporting to Excel, you lose your formatting.

Pros

NetSuite is suitable for nearly any sized business, thanks to it's plethora of functions and capabilities. Marketing, crm, accounting are just a few of the areas where it can be useful.

Cons

For small businesses, in particular, this software can potentially have too much capabilities. It can be a bit overwhelming.

By using other systems we get through the manufacturing side but overall it has been a great improvement for the business. Highly recommend for a buy sell or minimal manufacturing business.

Pros

I absolutely love the product. It is great for us overall with marketing, CRM, accounting. Best bits are the reports, safe searches, and if I need some customisation like scripts or workflows done there are thousands of independent Netsuite specialists around the world who can write these for you.

Cons

As a manufacturer I would seriously look hard at other software to run this. Either use something completely different or another manufacturing software that can API / link in with Netsuite. I think the manufacturing side of NS is difficult to use and overly complicated for a small business. The time tracking is terrible (We use another system for time tracking and job tracking through the factory) and another down side is the cost to have a lot of employees on the factory floor logging on and off jobs. Looking back I did find it hard to find many other companies using Netsuite for manufacturing.

Overall, this product would be great if it were more customizable. It does not talk to any of the other software we use for financial tracking purposes and this makes integration of product / usage very difficult.

Pros

I am able to easily see what is on hand for a particular product and easily identify the reorder point.

Cons

Creating a customized report is near impossible.

I've been working closely on the NetSuite platform for more than a year. I have to say, it is pretty slick.
Although not designed for large scale industry, it is very good for mid scale especially considering its flexibility using Suitescripts and Suiteflow

We switched over to Netsuite in January of 2013. It is a great system. I have used quite a few (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and many a home grown system) and I would tell you netsuite is better than them all. It is easy to make changes, easy and straight forward to use, and the reporting capability is very good and very flexible. Over a year later I still see tons of opportunity to improve our business and cut costs by going further with Netsuite.
