IBM Unica is a cloud-based marketing automation solution for large enterprises. It is suitable for users across a variety of industries including banking, financial services, retail, high technology, insurance, hospitality and others. It offers inbound and outbound marketing, event-based marketing, web analytics and lead management.
IBM Campaign, IBM Interact, IBM Contact Optimization, IBM Marketing Operations, IBM Opportunity Detect and IBM Distributed Marketing are the modules of IBM Unica. IBM Unica also includes marketing resource management module that provides budgeting, forecasting and expense management, along with digital asset management. It also offers a dynamic searchable calendar, online approvals and custom reporting and analysis.
It allows organizations to capture customers across traditional, digital and social marketing channels and improve their marketing strategy and marketing analytics.

Extremely complex product with tons of capability, ideal only for enterprise
I worked with the campaign portion and eMessage portion of Unica for 2 years. The tool is extremely capable, but in order to do so is also very complex. This product would only be for enterprise class organizations with a dedicated IT team.
Pros
I never found a limitation to what the tool could do.
Cons
Very complex. This is not the tool for everyday marketers to jump into and execute campaigns quickly. This is a massive tool that requires a dedicated technical team.
