Pros

Integration with Asana is seamless -- it looks and feels like it's always just part of Asana. Easy to add and edit time.
The reports are also excellent in terms of customizability.

Cons

Time needs to be tracked at the task level (in many use cases, it would be sufficient to track time at the project level).
Asana tasks need to be inside projects (can't track ad-hoc things easily).
There is a Slack integration but it's not very useful -- it's only for reporting, not tracking time.

Pros

We looked at a lot of software to integrate with Asana and Xero to track our project time—and this one was the only one that ticked all the boxes. The feature set is great at achieving what we need and helping us better understand how we spend time on projects. It works seamlessly with our other apps! The support is also really responsive, answering any questions we've had and taking our recommendations into account on product updates.

Cons

Reporting can stand updates but with the amount of changes they've made since we signed up, I only anticipate this to improve. One thing that is annoying is the inability to see when a time was logged, which is needed when you forget to start your time and are trying to work back to figure out the time you spent doing something.

The software does what it should and tracks time. I think it's nice that it can integrate with a variety of platforms. The integration is very smooth, at least with Asana.

Pros

I like that this software integrates well with Asana, my project management tool of choice.

Cons

I wish that Asana had built in time-tracking software so that I didn't need to use Everhour. But that's not a fault of Everhour, it's a fault of Asana.

Everhour is one of the best time tracking software applications out there. It is easy to use, never lets you down and gives you a clear picture of the passage of time.

Pros

The biggest asset of Everhour is its simplicity. You don't need to spend much time figuring out hows, whats and whys of its operation. You just plug it in and do your thing.

The reporting is detailed and exports without anything going wrong.

Everhour is also very helpful in strategic planning as a measuring tool. It was very useful to track how much time it takes for me to complete certain tasks under certain circumstances (urgent, regular, low-priority, etc) and then plan my days accordingly.

Cons

As far as my use of the program goes - i can't really pinpoint anything critical with it. If you are using it with Trello - there might be some mess related to revisions but that is more of a managing issue than technical. Otherwise i can't recall any other issues.

We've just really scratched the surface so far with how we plan to implement and integrated Everhour long-term through the API, but I'm loving everything so far.

Pros

Very modern interface, useful reporting, deep integration into Asana, and open connections into other systems.

Cons

There have been a few things here and there that I've had to work through, but overall a very positive experience. I think my one current challenge is that Everhour and Instagantt use two separate Estimate fields in Asana, though I'm working with support and think I'll be able to find a solution that works.

Overall, i really love that I can manage the time spent with every single task, i can customize it later, and download time reports to check my weekly/monthly productivity.

Pros

We used everhour syncronized with a task management softvare (Asana), so we could not only schedule and create tasks for ourselves and for our collegues, but log the amount of time spent with certain tasks.

Cons

It's a bit difficult to synchronize with Chrome, but you only need to do it once. :)

It's helped us become a lot more productive because we know exactly how much time are being spent doing what.

Pros

It's very intuitive to use. It has the richest set of features of any time tracking app we've used with Asana.

Cons

I forget to stop the timer sometimes. Having an auto-stop feature based on x number of idle minutes or some other trigger that would make sense would be great.

Our organization uses this daily to track EVERYTHING we do. With Everhour I am able to stay on top of who is overworked, underworked, where we make the most profit, and where we are falling short.

It also allows us the option to set limits so that we don't accidentally overwork (it's so easy to love a project so much that you keep running and running and running at it!).

Overall, this has simplified our time tracking efforts and we are thoroughly pleased.

Pros

The best Pro for Everhour is the integration with Trello.

Cons

There isn't anything that I inherently dislike!

Sometimes you have to dig to find certain functionality (such as editing a team member's time), but that is more of a learning curb.

We are using Everhour to track the time worked in combination with Asana. Integration is perfect and we have never had any problems. Helps me manage/plan my weekly activities a lot more effectively, since I know how much time I have to work on things each day, and can quickly update estimated times to reallocate tasks as needed.

Pros

Makes it really easy to estimate/record time for Asana tasks. So I always have a very clear idea of how long it could take me and what it actually does take me to accomplish key tasks.

Cons

You can't put time estimates on recurring tasks, which isn't a dealbreaker, but I wish it had that capability.

The best thing about Everhour is the integration with Asana. It's very easy to report and edit time from inside the tasks. I also like how easy it is to create reports, the fact that it pulls custom variables from Asana is very helpful!

Ability to calculate the effectiveness of our projects and staff member profit/loss ratios. Tracking which task took too long to complete or clients who we need to increase charges for.

Pros

Ability to have Everhour and Basecamp integrated. The option to set base cost of employees and "hourly client rate" which then calculates the profit/loss per project is amazing. The export features are great for analyzing data and workflow.

Everhour has came a long way since it first began and since the first time I have used it (over 2 years ago, and hated it!). Now, that has all changed and we simply cannot live without Everhour.

Cons

I have rated the 'Features & Functionality' section with 3 stars for the sole reason to let you know there is room for improvement. I think the permissions for individual employees which limit when they can edit time, whos time they can see are among some from top of my head.

PS: Being able to deauthorize Basecamp integration would be handy rather than going the extra length to your custom support team to remove those integration (accidental setups etc).

The most important gain from using is that we can track our tasks in real time without having to leave the browser. The Chrome add-on helps us initiate the time for a specific task. If we are already on Asana a simple click does the job.
Also, the new Schedule feature is awesome! Now, we know when people are allocated. Absolutely great!

Pros

The Asana integration. Since Asana is our project management tool the smooth integration with Everhour is a total lifesaver in order to track easily every single task and calculate costs for projects.

Cons

The time of subtasks is not attributed correctly to the main task. Also, if tasks are moved around projects the tracking of time for a project is lost. But this is related to the integration and not the service per se.

The possibility of tracking time in Asana

Pros

Integrates with Asana using Chrome browser and makes time tracking possible.
With Chrome it's easy to set up. You just add the extension and connect it to Asana through the integration settings.

Cons

Often there are sync problems to Asana so working hours are often lost. It can be sync again but you have to find the lost task to do this and sometimes in large projects it can be hard to remember what have been done and not.

Everhour cannot be integrated to Asana Window App or with Microsoft Edge so it works with the Asana (like with Chrome). This is a huge deal breaker because I use Edge a lot. The customer support couldn't even tell me that Everhour had this issue - I had to find out myself.

Review Source: Capterra

  Response: Weavora, Weavora Consulting

Date: June 2018

Hi Thomas,

I'd be lying if I said I'm happy to hear such a negative feedback, but it's your right.

Yes, we do not support Edge browser. But it's not only for Chrome. We support Chrome, FireFox and Safari.
https://everhour.com/extensions

Yes, we cannot embed time tracking controls into native Asana apps. This is technically impossible unless Asana integrate with Everhour one day. Has anyone else do this?

As for our support service - I can't believe that you asked us about supported browsers or native Asana apps (such a simple questions) and we were not able to answer.

Respectfully,
Mike
