QuickBooks POS Software

QuickBooks POS is a retail point of sale system suitable for various small businesses such as clothing and shoe stores, small franchises, sporting goods stores and gift shops. It offers inventory and customer management tools, merchandise planning and a tablet-compatible POS. Cloud-based and on-premise deployments are available.

QuickBooks POS provides standard point of sale features such as payment and return processing along with inventory management. This allows users to keep track of inventory, monitor items that are close to selling out and place orders for items that need to be restocked. The system also saves customer data to help users track purchase history and buying behavior.

Users can configure price tags and receipts, set promotional prices, track layaways, manage rewards programs and ship packages using the Shipping Manager module. The POS system syncs automatically with QuickBooks accounting software.

License-based pricing is offered. Support is available through an online knowledge base.

For Small & Medium size organisation, its my best experience to opt Quickbooks POS .

Pros

Power full integration in all aspect like if you want to search in any info you have, name of product, UPC, Alternate lookup, serial number, department name, item description, attribute, vender name, mean all possible link are integrated for better search.
Add product, customer, vender, department, are very easy as 123. i.e., if you are adding any new product in this process you can add vender, department, in a single click like just put the name of your required field.
You can add/ modify inventory, vender, department, UPC, and other all information through a single excel sheet.
User friendly add all hardwear tool like barcode scanner, printers, cash draw, touch monitor, tag label printer, through an inbuilt workstation.
The reports area is also well organized, which type of report you wants in any way like product, department, vender, customer, best or worst, vise etc is no more problem in quickbook pos.

Cons

price is little bit higher than others.
in my opinion and my experience there is no any other problem in quickbook pos.

QB POS is worth a try

Pros

QuickBooks POS is a very affordable system. You get a lot of bang for your buck. Excellent at tracking inventory. QuickBooks tech support cannot be beat.

Cons

Reports are clunky and hard to navigate. The POS system does not connect with QuickBooks desktop as well as it should.

Quickbooks POS is very powerful, but requires a paid IT staff person to set up and maintain.

As powerful as a jet fighter plane, and just as complicated to learn to fly! Requires a very high committment to training and a competent bookkeeping and IT support staff.

Pros

Very, very powerful features and capability. An overwhelming number of features for customizing and controlling inventory.

Cons

Exceedingly complicated and difficult to learn. Would not recommend this to any business or non-profit that cannot afford to hire both bookkeeping and IT professionals to set up and keep the system maintained.

Although Quickbooks POS and Quicbooks Bookkeeping software is supposed to be fully integrated, classifications set up in POS do not automatically port over to Quickbooks Bookkeeping software.

Many of the reports are not intuitive to generate or interpret.

Fixing after-the-fact sales errors in POS is problematic and overly complicated.

QuickBooks POS System

I would have to say all in all QuickBooks Point of Sale is a great system, decently priced am very user freindly.

Pros

The QuickBooks Point of Sale system is a great option for a small or medium-sized business. We really enjoy the easy to access interface along with a simple layout.

Cons

The biggest con about QuickBooks point of sale system would be the customer service. It takes too long to get simple issues clarified.

More Than We Can Handle

Pros

Extensive list of features to tweak the way you run your business. Design and layout is fairly straight forward and user friendly.

Cons

Cost is a bit out of our current price range for our small business.
Lacking a few key features needed to process traction’s the way we’d like.

QuickBooks is always professional

Pros

QuickBooks has always been professional and easy to use, functional to fix mistakes if you make them.

Cons

Being a small business...everything is really expensive, but at the same time balancing out the convenience of paying for some of the extra functions.

Quickbooks

Pros

I like the fact that everything is organized and will help me at tax time.
Easy to enter info once you learn how.

Cons

It's hard to learn. I have another program, A Professor Teaches Quickbooks, that I highly recommend. It's helped tremendously!
