Endpoint Security for Business Select Software

Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business Select is on-premise security suite that includes protection and management applications which enable organizations to enforce IT policy, defend against malware attacks and manage overall IT operations.

The solution provides businesses multi-layered protection based on a combination of big data threat intelligence, machine learning and human experience.Granular security management allows users to administrate and control security threats without additional integrations with different applications.

Kaspersky's 'System Watcher' technology monitors an application's behavior after it launches on server or employee machine to identify malicious patterns of activity. The solution also creates a list of trusted networks and based on it access to Wi-Fi networks is allowed or prohibited.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business Select supports Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, iOS MDM and Samsung KNOX. A perpetual license is offered for a one-time fee that includes support via phone, email and other online resources.

Pros

Kaspersky is an endpoint protection software, and that's what it does. It is simple to install as our IT department was able to remotely deploy, configure and update, which is great for me!

Cons

There were a few instances with my teams members' computers getting infected, so it didn't catch everything. It is also a bit more costly than competing products, and we switched to a competitor last year as a result.

Decent antivirus, but not worth the price due to being very user unfriendly

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Product Quality

Customer Support

Value for Money

Kaspersky is a decent antivirus that will catch most of what you want it to catch, but you'll have to run a malware program in addition to it. You'll also have to get someone to spend a ton of time with this program learning how to use it properly since it isn't user friendly at all. For the money that you'd spend on Kaspersky, there are plenty of better options out there.

Pros

Decent antivirus. While we were using this, we didn't have many issues with widespread infections. So for the most part, it caught what it should catch.

Cons

It didn't catch everything. It did well for the most part, but it still missed a good amount of malware, and because of that, we had to also run a separate anti-malware program.
It was also extremely not user friendly. The learning curve was massive on this software and just wasn't worth the hassle.

best antimalware solution

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Product Quality

Customer Support

Value for Money

if you only need an antimalware solution, this is the best for you.

Pros

It provides centralized administration and reporting. Is configured based on group policies, the user also has a console to run and analyze the system when he wants, although the decision of what to do with the threats is controlled by the group policy, which ensures that nobody can miss a threat by mistake.

Cons

It's a slightly more expensive than its competitors, but it’s worth the extra outlay. When the system is starting you can see a slight slowness, but once the cycle is over, you realize that it never uses more than 50% of the resources of the machine.

Pros

Cons

Some tasks are somewhat complex to understand, for which it is convenient to take a course or train at a high level.

The admin software is great tool. It found viruses that I had not found in prior scans with my old software. I was able to confirm that there were no false positives as well. It worked well and the console gave me everything I needed in one place.

Likes Least

Recommendations

The user interface and admin console is easy to use and the feature are robust enough to serve most of your needs.

This next could be in the pro or the con category, but administrators beware of your schedules and system clocks. The deep scans or even the regular scans are process heavy, and really tough on some of the slower older machines out there. As long as you aren't running it during a backup and give it plenty of time throughout the night to complete and if the scan is missed to not try and immediately run when the user connects again you should be good.

Pros

Easy to deploy on new machines entering into the enterprise. We use it with Kaseya remote access administration tool as part of our setup for computers that we manage.

Cons

We had a couple of issues starting out with the licensing but it seems here recently, last year until now, that any issues the company had with exceeding your number of available licenses when you haven't have disappeared.

Pros

I think this software was very effective in avoiding viruses.

Cons

It was somewhat difficult to configure and I found it a bit confusing and overwhelming to use. After receiving a new modem from my ISP and stuggling with setup issues only to find out that the culprit was Kaspersky, that was frustrating. That was the day I uninstalled the product and vowed to switch to something else.

My experience with the antivirus was very positive, 100% recommended. I really like how easy it is to scan the computer and how effective it is when it comes to finding and eliminating viruses. One of the things that I do not like about some antivirus is that they slow down the computer when it comes to scanning, but it does not slow down the computer.

Pros

Kaspersky is an antivirus with a high average virus removal for your computer. It is very simple to use and very fast when it comes to scanning, it does not slow down the computer while searching for and eliminating viruses allowing you to do your daily work without any problem

Cons

The antivirus is so good that in my concept it does not have any errors, it effectively removes all types of threats that arise when you are on the web or at least warns you where you can enter without risk to viruses and where you can not enter

Overall it has been good. We get phishing emails every now and then and it always brings up the warning. No computers have been infected since implemented.

Pros

It seems that Kaspersky does a good job helping to keep malware and viruses off of the computer. I use it at work, and also at home. Like most anti-virus software the auto scans are helpful so you don't have to remember to scan every now and then.

Cons

Sometimes the licenses can get buggy. I have noticed this at work, and at home. Especially when you have to re-purchase the software and license key. Sometimes on multiple computers it gives an error that the key isn't correct, or has already reached the maximum machines limit, even though it is no where near maximum. Every now and then with a deep scan it can crash the computer, or take a very long time to complete. I understand the deeps can takes longer, but a day to scan seems excessive.

Our company uses this software as their default antivirus software in all the computer systems and so far there hasn't been any reported case of any security breach.

I'd recommend it!

Pros

1. The primary reason why we install an antivirus software on our systems is to secure our data from viruses, malwares, etc. That is exactly what you get from Kaspersky Endpoint Security. It's easy to understand interface makes it a very realiable software to have for protecting your system from different sorts of threats.

2. The virus definitions and security patches are regular and ensure that your software remains up to date and thus, offer to endless protection to your computer.

3.

Cons

There's not much to dislike about it except for the fact that the Interface could get better and software size reduces so that there aren't any performance issues and system crashes that often occur due to system overload.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security was used to secure a small network of computers for a computer lab on a research project.

Pros

Kaspersky Endpoint Security helps us to manage the security of the systems it handles in a centralized and organized manner. And this was the only product like this to work without slowing the system down. The updating and data encryption can be done easily and efficiently using this application.

Cons

The constant updating of the system is needed but this can be annoying and time consuming since these updated are needed to be done often. And the installation process itself can be difficult for any inexperienced person and may lead to re-installation.
