The ability to create role-specific productivity profiles, configure custom behavior alerts, and automate responses (such as notifications or application restrictions) allows us to align the platform with our policies instead of changing our processes to fit the software. It has helped reduce manual oversight and gives leadership confidence that expectations are being applied consistently across the organization. #### Cons My biggest suggestion would be more role-specific training and educational resources. I'd love to see separate learning paths for system administrators, department managers, team leads, and even end users or contractors using revealed agents. With a click of a button you can view what they are doing live and you can even go back and check if and why they did an error. The Teramind legacy interface is easy to use and customer support and tech is always fast to respond. #### Cons Its still limited by simple things for example, you Filter 20 ppl in the dashboard for visibility. If one of them disconnects there is nothing telling you who out of the 20 disconnected. When you get so many features, the high price seems justifiable. #### Cons The customer support is really bad. I purchased the licenses mainly for its video recording feature but since last one month, I am not able to view old recordings. I can see only a week old recordings. It has been a month since ticket has been raised but they don't care to respond. And when they do, they just say the devs are working on it. Employee productivity is a big issue for many companies. With Teramind, we are able to keep a close eye on it. It allows us to stop the exfiltration of any sensitive data our end users may access and lock down the offending machine. #### Cons Some of the reports still have bugs being worked out, so the data in them can be real-time. But the most important reports have been handled first, so they operate in real time. They are constantly working on improvements. #### Reasons for switching to Teramind Had to run two separate programs to do what Teramind did as one. It allows to quickly see if employees are staying productive or spending their time at work to watch movies. In addition to that, I found their integrated BI reports to be great 'out of the box' and due to the ease of configuration, it can be highly customizable. Additional feature, that is especially important for my line of work is monitoring and risk management, as those features can prevent data incidents or potential fraudulent activities. #### Cons Teramind is not without its bugs, especially with the newest versions. There are times when issues that do arise can be quite disruptive with work that needs to be done. There have been specific cases where either some report filtering option was unavailable or there were visual glitches with monitoring. The last major issue that we have encountered was how Teramind works with Apple laptops. To that end, it works great. We don't use the time or project tracking features but it's nice that they're there and pretty easy to use. The stealth installer is a .msi which means that we can push the installation of the agent via Intune or GPO and I like have control over the automatic updates. (I can push updates outside of business hours.) Teramind isn't super hard to learn and I had it pretty figured out within a week or two. But their support is pretty fantastic too. #### Cons Termind is in the middle of a migration to a new user interface. Feature parity between the old and the new user interfaces is not quite there yet and, per support, you still have to use the legacy UI to do certain things, like pushing agent updates. We also ran into some issues previously with blocking websites based on regex. Currently, you can only block sites based on "equals", "contains", or "matches regex". There's no "starts with" operator and wildcards "*" or "?" are not supported. In our environment, if Teramind pushes a new trusted certificate to the endpoint, it drops all RPD connections. This doesn't lose work for the user but it is annoying. Some agent updates have, in the past, forced a restart which could not be suppressed caused a problem when used on a VDI hosts but it's been years since this last happened. Using Teramind has made my job so much easier. As a trainer, the primary function I use is viewing the screen recordings of employees. When I am performing QA and I can tell an employee is struggling with a system, I can easily view their screen to see exactly where the issue lies. This saves so much time on training calls, since I don't need to try to determine what they are missing. The learning curve is small. One can learn how to use the basic features in a matter of minutes, but the software offers a lot beyond the basics. The option to view screen recordings has proven very useful when researching escalations from our clients. No more spending hours trying to figure out exactly what occurred! The reporting features make it easy to see crucial statistics at a glance without having to review each employee individually. No incentive was offered As with any company, we have our own set of problem users. Even with best-in-class web and content filters, users tend to find a way to abuse the system. Furthermore, the built-in reporting capabilities of most filtering systems lack any way to pin-point and associate a particular incident with a user. This left us having to manually investigate when problems arose. During our research on a new employee monitoring solution, we trialled several of the major vendors products. All of which were either bloated, outdated, or difficult to setup and use. Thankfully, we found Teramind. We were immediately awestruck by the entire interface of their live demo. Their site also features a live chat that actually connected me directly to a real person after normal business hours, on a weekend! We ended up purchasing the on-pemise version of Teramind, which is available as a VM. This delivery method alleviates the setup difficulty we had with many other products. We then just deployed the hidden agents though group policy making our setup, all in all, entirely automated. To this day, the interface and reporting capabilities of Teramind remain unmatched compared to other products we have tried. Having an actual web interface means I can access Teramind without remoting into the server or installing a console on my administrative workstations. The colored charts and graphs make it easy to distinguish information. There are multiple reports available from website history and email, all the way to keystrokes and printing. Live and recorded sessions from the monitored user's display also enhance our ability to track and view activity. Overall, Teramind is far more advanced than the other competitors. If you have plenty of employees, or want to implement a monitoring/tech security application, I would say Teramind is your best bet, if not top 3. It is the best solution I had found in the market. It recorded all our billing activity so that in case of a issue we were able to asses what went wrong where. It also brought productivity up as we could monitor the access of non work related websites. #### Cons Sad to say that we no longer use Teramind as it has a min requirement of 5 licenses but we have only one system to monitor. It is not friendly for small scale businesses who still face the issues that other businesses have. Abilty to search browsing history by key word ... Obviously designed to help larger organizations with more employees, the software was intuitive and provided a lot of interesting features. I personally loved the ability to printing sensitive documents with a little more protection and enforcing some compliance issues. This is often a problem in higher education that too many people simply ignore. #### Cons I've heard the price was a little high, but I honestly cannot really say for sure as I do not deal in that area.
