Great Reservation Software!!!!
RMS has allowed us to put great controls in place to realize our full potential in the marketplace!
PROSIt has a great interface, is easy to use, has real-time online bookings and is overall just a great system! Most other RV reservation software out there is clunky.
CONSThe programmers need to stop playing with the reports and report scheduling.

PARCS was incredibly difficult to use, did not have real-time online bookings, you could not tell from the title of a report what it contained, which was very time consuming. You could not trust the financial information in it. You can with RMS.

I have very happy with RMS as it meets all my requirements and the support is superior to other channel managers and property management systems
PROSI find the overall RMS cloud management for my accommodation business to be superior and easier for all staff to use than other property management systems.
CONSThere is nothing that I can condider that I am unhappy with or does not meet my needs. If ever I have a problem it is a connection drop out or the operator (including myself) may need further training using the help menu.
Reasons for switching to RMS Cloud
I was unable to run the reports that I required. The support is limited and they do not know enough about their own product. Developement is slow to the point that it is not keeping up the industry needs.

Support almost non existant and you cant really talk to humans and when you do they brush you off
Would not recommend at all. Certainly have only found two staff easy to deal with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] being amazing.. The rest not so much.
PROSWhen we first spoke to them they offered / really sold us on the product and it was a bit like following sheep. Its widely used so must be great - but certainly not for all industires. We like that it offers a booking system / management system all in one.... However ... Do your research !!
CONSThe software in itself is very complex and takes a lot of training to use - all of which you have to pay for becasue its outsourced. Once proficient I'm sure it offers everything you need although becasue they have tried to cover so many industries it very convoluted. The set up takes a LOT of time and a lot of loading and if you are not a hotel I would think very carefully before choosing this product. If you are a holiday home company or a company that has more than a few room / rate options its a long long long tedious set up all of which you are paying for and the only support option is through the system itself and the staff close support queries before they are fixed. It does NOT include any document management system, its included triggered email messages ALL end up in peoples spam folders, it has no option to load or personalize things, it DOES NOT WORK ON PHONE OR IPAD, the app is VERY UNFRIENDLY and stalls constantly. The program itself hangs constantly and as you need to work on it 12 hours a day its very frustrating and all the while you are paying through the nose. When you ask for compensation for your loaded work schedule becasue the program that's supposed to make life easier doesn't they are extremely rude and defensive.

RMS - best bang for your buck!
Very easy to use - staff can be trained on all functionality they need on a daily basis in the matter of a few days, not weeks like other software. Also, the system takes a bit of time to setup, but it is completely customizable to your needs. We operate boutique hotels and are able to save and easily access all guest and account info to provide the highest level of service. Lon in tech support is the best!
CONSIt does take a bit of time to setup.
Reasons for switching to RMS Cloud
They moved to an online platform which lost all customizability and a lot of functionality. To access guest-specific notes took many clicks and could not be readily seen, seriously affecting the guest experience.

Great Software and Customer Service
Overall dealing with RMS in system wise has been great and Customer service are easy to talk to, friendly, explain things with ease they don't rush you. The team know there system and how to explain :-)

Huge improvement
Easy to train employees on the system. Great audit trail.
PROSWe implemented RMS during our off season and have been using it for about 8 months. It's a huge improvement over our previous software. I love the online booking and it's saved us a lot of time and headache. When you get the rates set up correctly, the system is great at calculating everything (on simple reservations), so you don't have to plug in the rates. The user interface is easy to view.
CONSSplit reservations are a challenge, rates don't calculate correctly. Group reservations are clunky. Custom reporting isn't very intuitive.

Gets the job done
Overall fairly easy to get your head around for the basics. Good over view of availability.
PROSAlmost all the rooms show on one screen and for multiple weeks. It also keeps a record of old bookings that you can access when needed.
CONSFor a large group booking you cant put packages on multiple rooms at the one time. You have to enter them all individually. Often the totals when creating one tariff for the group adds up to the right amount in the totals but in the accom when you go to print a invoice the total is different. If you go out of the booking and refresh the whole booking system it often corrects it. Also invoices arent arriving in guests companies in boxes. So I have to print off the invoice and send it via our scanner to the guest.

All-rounder PMS Software with fantastic online channel integration and automation
Overall RMS has increased our efficiency, after some initial adjustments during the integration phase. The comprehensive reporting capabilities provide valuable insights quickly and easily, and the online 2-way integration cuts down manual booking input and admin considerably, along with the payment gateway integration for processing payments. Will definitely recommend to other Serviced Apartment providers looking for a modern, cloud-based PMS with efficient channel integrations and customisation options for various setups.
PROSThe best part about the software is having everything in the one place to create, confirm, and process bookings including sending correspondence accessible anywhere from any device. The ability to connect an online payment gateway has greatly increased productivity and efficiency to allow staff to process payments quickly and easily without leaving their desk. The online channel connection is seamless and has reduced a lot of manual staff input for OTA reservations.
CONSWhile the integration team have been great, there are still a few things we require to be able to satisfy our full accounting reporting requirements quickly and efficiently for our business set up. Granted, it does differ to some other properties, however we do require a few enhancements for this to be efficient for us. The online booking engine, while cost effective and easy to use is quite limited and does not do much to compete with OTA's to enhance the property's direct bookings - this is potential room for enhancement.

RMS is a pretty easy to use software given the amount of features it provides its customers.
At the end of the day, it does the basic functions which is to be able to book reservations and take payments.
PROSEasy to learn Has about every feature one would ever need Visually pleasing and easy to follow. Love the menu search function.
CONSCustomer support is hit or miss. Some are great and others are awful, so it's very frustrating. You should have people specialize in certain functions and then route calls accordingly. System is too big for everyone to know everything. The timing/money for customer reports is just absurd. Even making an "enhancement" to a report that's already out there is a ridiculously long process. You should have a division of your development team dedicated to this so the requests don't take so long. All reports should have the option to run as rate type as opposed to just site type. Not everyone designates specific sites as specific rate types, so it's hard to run your business. Should be able to batch reports to schedule to send to users as opposed to each one being it's own email. Occupancy report needs more options: ie: reservation status. Should have a yearly user conference in the US.

PROSFor the most part it’s good. Have had some issues in the past that took a while to work out. Now things are better.
CONSIt’s a little difficult to use fir people that are nit the best on the computer and to get training you must pay more. And it’s expensive.

I'm still in the early stages of RMS so I can't give a overall assessment of the system.
PROSI think once I learn the in and out of all of the side menu, and all the functionality of the data base, it could be very compatible for our company. In all fairness to RMS the owner of our company didn't notify me of any of the classes, so I was nearly operating blind on the first day of use. BUT the help/knowledge base was a life saver.
CONSMy first complaint will be that there isn't an operating manual. Even a frozen pizza comes with step by step instructions. The software leans heavy on the side of the hotel industry. I think RMS is working on being RV park friendly but they still have some work to do. As an example with our previous data base we were able to move reservations quickly and easily to different sites to maximize spaces as to fill the park quicker. With RMS moving dozens of reservations over a 4, 5, 6, month period is extremely difficult to the point we will most likely stop doing it.

I'm not sure why the owner of the park wanted to go with RMS. RMS appears to be very Hotel Management friendly, but it has a ways to go with RV park management.

Generally the experience is good. Updates need to be relearned and as long as the help tutorials are updated as well, I can maneuver the site.
PROSWhat I like the most about this software is the Charts or reservation search option to find a guest reservation.
CONSWhat I like the least about this software is the group reservation from online. If the reservation was made online for one or more sites, they do not show up as under the guests history.

RMS cloud is accessible from different devises, I can access from home or when I am away from work. This makes it an invaluable tool for our motel.
PROSI find this software very easy to use and to train new employees
CONSI find at times that there are things I would like changed but this is not easy. Example is for Debtors Report, have the option of arrival or departure. So guests account can be calculated from the departure date (useful when you have long stayers) some of our guests are here 9 weeks by the time they check out the account is in 90 days.

RMS the PMS
We have multiple properties in RMS and it is very easy to switch and look at each property. There are plenty of features and reports available and I thought they're easy to understand.
CONSOTA integration is quite slow. We were unable to transfer data from the previous PMS we used into RMS so it took a lot of time for us to enter everything into the new system.

Heres what I can say.....
So far its been very good. Any issues that affect all their users get taken care of very quickly. I can only remember a handful of outages in the last 2 years. Their support is actually very helpful and get issues resolved. For me as an IT admin ....RMS support is far better than most of my other vendors support team.
PROSIntuitive, seems to be feature rich and well thought out.
CONSI dont really use the product.....I am an administrator.

Features, Price point, being able to add or remove things (ala carte) and for the Resort staff....they liked that the interface made sense and looked like it was designed by people that knew a thing or 2 about hospitality.

Potential but not flawless
Again, I see potential and I haven't given up, but a work in progress. Expect to spend a great deal of time working through issues, at least on the front end.
PROSHas the promise of being a great system with automation of repetitive system tasks. This was the big draw for us.
CONSSo far I have spent hours trouble shooting with their tech support why the system is not working as it's suppose to. I have not given up yet, but currently working through a couple of essential functions that they must get correct or we'll have to find another system.

RMS Hospitality Cloud_Review
Overall it has been one of the easiest program to use.
PROSEasy to in and out of accounts. The Customer service is great.
CONSHaving to go through Google Chrome to log on. Before we had an icon and through that Icon we went to the the software, now we press on the Icon and the it goes through Google Chrome and it is annoying. I keep on closing the software by error because when I open a search page not related to RMS and then close it, I keep on closing the RMS page as well, It was better when it was a stand alone button. Also there seems to be a problem with emailing tax invoices to customers, sometimes it goes blank. There are also to many steps to go through now to print a tax invoice. Customers seems to get a bit edgy to wait for more that a few seconds.

Flexibility and feature set that suits our property's needs. We have researched other products but no one else offers the same functionality as RMS, and many standard RMS features are at an additional cost with other software providers.
CONSOccasionally customer service is unable to answer a question or assist us to our complete satisfaction, but that is very rare. Sometimes software updates will modify features or cause small bugs that we have to wait on further updates to fix, again, this is fairly uncommon.
