We LOVE Shepherd
The look is very clean and simple. Very user friendly. They have hands down the best customer support in any PIMS we shopped or ever used prior.
CONSThat I didn't use them sooner. Can't think of anything else.

A game changer for our practice!
Every single person that helped us transition was beyond amazing and patient. The training was simple with the available walkthroughs.
PROSThe software itself is fantastic alone, but the customer service is too notch. Transitioning from our previous software to this one was as simple as it could be- of course, work on our end was involved and sometimes tedious, but it was easier than I expected.
CONSI would love the ability to have the reminders for preventions update automatically for the quantity purchased. Currently we are going in manually to change them, which works since I created an automatic task to remind us to do it.

Reasons for switching to Shepherd
I was going to cause harm to something or someone if I had to continue to deal with hippo on a daily basis. No customer support after the first 5-6 months. Literally would take weeks for a response. The new update caused my vaccination due dates to disappear, reports didn’t work correctly (some of them didn’t from the beginning and they could never get the fixed for some reason), signing every chart and medication was ridiculously time consuming so it was making us less efficient overall.

Great Cloud Based Vet Practice Software!
Great, its easy to setup and use. Transferring data from other software had no issues. Would recommend to anyone looking for a simple, cost effective cloud based software for their practice.
PROSCost, easy of use, and training. The cost is affordable for any size practice. The user interface is straight forward and simple to understand. Workflow is great, and easy between modules. Training is fast for new employees. Recommended cost effective!
CONSNo cons! Reporting could be done a little better, and hopefully will improve with updates. Customization of user interface could be done.

Sheperd for Vet Start Up
Love it! Thanks [sensitive content hidden] and Shepherd! I wouldn't have got my PIMS up and running without Shepherd.
PROSI LOVED getting set up with Shepherd for my start up vet practice. It's stressful to set up PIMS, but they couldn't have been more helpful! I loved [sensitive content hidden], the advisor I was assigned to. She was so helpful. I asked her the same questions probably over and over, but she was so patient.

The staff there wasn't helpful. They just sent me videos and left me to just do all of my PIM set up for a start up with little help.

I would 10/10 recommend Shepherd!
We tried a different software and it was horrible. My team was skeptical of anything cloud based and not having paper charts but now we would never want to use anything else. Shepherd is so easy and the support group really cares and are always willing to help.
PROSI love how easy it is to use and how anyone could use it with minimal training. I love that support listens to us and helps us. Its clean looking and things are easy to find.
CONSWhen we first started there were additions that hadn't been added yet, like boarding and inventory. However, now they have these. Other than new additions like mass messaging and forms, I cant think of anything bad.

Shepherd had what we wanted and were willing to listen to what we needed in the future. The cost was great and the team was helpful
