## Adobe Creative Cloud Pros and Cons

We analyzed 7,337 verified reviews for Adobe Creative Cloud to find out what actual users really think.

Select to learn more

Industry-Standard Design Toolkit

Adobe Creative Cloud offers a comprehensive suite of graphic design tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, that support everything from logo creation to magazine layouts. Users appreciate the ability to transition assets between programs, access a wide range of design features, and work efficiently across multiple mediums and devices.

Flexible Cloud-Based Workflow

Creative Cloud's cloud storage enables users to access, sync, and share files across devices, streamlining collaboration and project management. Reviewers highlight the convenience of working from anywhere, automatic backups, and easy integration between apps, which helps maintain consistent access to assets and project versions.

Powerful Photo Editing Suite

With applications like Photoshop and Lightroom, Adobe Creative Cloud provides robust photo editing capabilities for professionals and hobbyists. Users value advanced retouching tools, seamless integration between apps, and the ability to edit images across devices, making it a go-to choice for high-quality photo manipulation and workflow.

Subscription-Only Limitations

The shift to a subscription model frustrates users who prefer one-time purchases. Monthly fees add up, cancellation often incurs penalties, and losing access to software and files when the subscription ends is a frequent complaint. Many feel the model is costly and restrictive, especially for infrequent users.

High Cost For Access

Many users find Adobe Creative Cloud's pricing to be expensive, especially for freelancers, students, and small businesses. The lack of affordable plans, frequent price increases, and the need to pay for the full suite even when only a few apps are used are common concerns among reviewers.

Frequent And Disruptive Updates

Frequent updates can interrupt workflows, introduce bugs, and require relearning tools due to interface changes. Users report issues with notifications, slow update processes, and compatibility problems, making the update system a source of frustration for those needing stability in their creative work.

Pros:

I think we all know that the most obvious advantage is that Adobe is the most widely used software in the creative industry, so if you master it, you’ll have a leg up in the job market. Plus, whether you like it or not, the integration of AI is a huge help.

Cons:

The downsides could be that, since it’s the most widely used tool, you feel compelled to master it, which means you might overlook open-source or more affordable programs. Also, its price remains high even though competition from other programs is growing. Other than that, I have no issues with it.

Still, by far, the best software for graphic designers

5

Overall experience is great, I mostly use InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat and Illustrator. I do use other functions as well so the fact that I have access to all software in the package is Fantastic. I love Adobe Fonts and since I have started using it, I am more efficient when picking fonts. Overall if you are a designer, these are your tools!

5

Functionality

Pros:

How professional and powerful the software is and that it is all and mostly compatible software in one package.

Cons:

Adobe Illustrator is not working well with InDesign (for example when copying elements with gradients). My most important tool is InDesign, however, some options that should be there, are not (for example being able to engle rulers, something that I have been using in CorelDraw years ago).

Reasons for switching to Adobe Creative Cloud

InDesign, as it has way more options, plus Corel wasn't really tool for publications. Also, the fact that it is a whole lot of software and not one, also files in InDesign are taking way less space and it always saves backup (I have never lost what I have done when it crashed, and with Corel it happened very often)
