Pixabay is one of the best free stock media.

Pixabay is one of the best websites where you will get royalty-free images, videos, and media. It can be a great asset to any tech-savvy person like freelancers, content writers, social media marketer, designer or video editor. It is easy to use.

PROS

Pixabay is the first choice for my daily stock media library. The media library of pixabay is really great. It offers millions of photos, videos, illustrations, vectors, sound effects, music, and GIFs and it's completely free. If you are looking for copyrighted free media or stock photos, then pixabay is the option for you.

CONS

The downside of pixabay, you wouldn't get stunning quality media all the time. It's okay with me because it's free.

Reasons for switching to Pixabay

It's offers free and premium quality media library.

I love Pixabay high quality free videos

Overall Pixabay is the best platform for free images, videos, music and sound effects. I use their videos everyday and I edit them, and I use some of their music and I make sure to read copyrights as some platforms doesn't allow copyrighted music.

PROS

I love the fact that I can download videos and sound effects for free and I can use them for anything as long as I edit them not put them out there as they are.

CONS

The best videos are on IStock and IStick is very expensive, Pixabay should stand on their own without IStock. You have to make sure to read copyrights and now Canva owns then which we can't use certain images the way we want. Canva and IStock are hoarding good quality products from Pixabay and it is not fair.

Reasons for switching to Pixabay

IStock was too expensive and I had to pay per video like give credit to the artist and the price was too high. You have to pay the subscription and the artist separately.

Pixabay is a must for your creative projects looking to save on your marketing budgets

Pixabay is just a really useful platform for commercial free images, video, music, and vector art. We often use it to create thumbnails for our videos without it eating into our production or marketing budgets. It's a must use really.,

PROS

Pixabay is free. We use it all the time on our ad campaigns and video production to save costs on licensing similar commercial images or vectors from subscription only platforms.

CONS

Pixabay is limited with their archive and sometimes what they offer isn't quite as good as their rivals. BUT, it's free so we can't complain too miuch.

A license free solution for your digital marketing

I'm tasked with managing social media handles and digital marketing side of my company. Therefore I need to create a lot of contents for various digital platforms. I get a lot of my contents from google search but sometimes some contents are licensed that's when pixabay comes in handy. There are a lot of high quality options available in pixabay that can be used for editing and development of your digital contents. Even though the library is not as vast as google it is still an amazing platform for free contents. Getting images in different formats really helps when I need the same image for different purpose.overall a really good option for anyone who is not willing to spend a lot on premium services.

PROS

1. it's license free therefore no hassle of purchasing or dealing with watermarks.2. All the contents are in high quality and downloadable.3. Images are high resolution and available in different formats like PNG, SVG, JPEG

CONS

1. Library is limited sometimes you can't find what you are looking for.2. Videos are only available in 1080p, no 4k quality.3. Audio is only available in MP3 format, other formats like WAV, AAC are missing.

Reason for choosing Pixabay

canva is premium a lot of it's content requires money otherwise you will be left with watermarks. pixabay is license free and it saves a lot of money.
