iMovie Review
It makes editing my YouTube videos so much easier, and I love that fact that their isn’t a watermark with name of the app when I save my videos.
PROSI recently started a YouTube channel and iMovie is a God sent for me. It makes my editing life so easy! I am able to cut out parts of the video or footage that I don’t want. Mute the footage and speed up the videos. All my projects are saved on the app once the videos are still in my phone. So I can go back re-edit if I want to. You are also given the option of creating your own or you are able to use a template provided by the app, and you can just edit and make it your own. It’s user friendly, and it makes editing a lot of fun, and super easy. When you add multiple videos, a transition is automatically added by the app for you. I love the app! I would recommend 100% to anyone! Fast, easy and reliable.
CONSThe one thing about this app I which could be changed tho, is to add a faster speed to speed up videos, but you can save the video and add speed again. Apart from that this is a great app! I 100% recommend.
Reasons for switching to iMovie
I hate the watermark that came with KineMaster. iMovie is a lot better and user friendly.

Great for basic projects, but missing features for professional editors
Overall I love iMovie. It's my go to for all my fun projects for social media and slideshow videos. I am looking into moving to a more professional level software as my projects have become more involved, but I think iMovie will always be my default video editor.
PROSI like the software because it just works. It's perfect for beginners and just working on a fun project with friends. The templates are and if you just want a simple fun video editor this is great. It can take you really far and is easy to learn. iMovie is where I learned to make videos and it is my go to for all my basic projects
CONSiMovie doesn't have some of the more custom or professional level editing tools, but for most video projects they are not needed. One of the things I love and also hate is how iMovie automatically connects all your video clips. It's great for slide shows and many quick projects, but I hate that I can't lock clips to specific spots on the time line...they always move around based on what clips I drop into the project.
Reason for choosing iMovie
I choose iMovie because it came free with my mac. I will eventually buy Final Cut Pro, but iMovie gave me exactly what I needed to get started with video creation for my social media.

A good video editing solution for beginning vloggers
The one thing I personally like the most about iMovie is the fact that it's really a low-friction, easy-to-use, solution for anyone who's taking the first steps in the video world. Sure, it isn't as robust as many other video editing software out there but it still provides a good suite of features to get started with video editing. If you're a Mac user, then you have iMovie already available on your machine (for free). So, you can get your feet wet and get started with iMovie right now – you'll able to make your videos look better in no time!
CONSEven though iMovie is good for new video content creators, it's a software that may lead you to "hit the ceiling" relatively quickly. Depending on what you'd like to do with a video editing software, you might feel as if you've outgrown iMovie, because you're probably find yourself looking for features that aren't part of what iMovie offers. So, while on the other hand it's good because it's a low-friction option, it's likely going to have you look for another solution because of missing features.

Great Video Editing Software for Beginners!
The experience has been great overall! One of the best free tools out there that helps you edit videos on the go. Would 10/10 recommend using it.
PROSMostly every business out there has a social media handle and to grow on social media uploading videos becomes necessary. That's where iMovie comes into play. This app comes with a lot of premade templates that allow you to create videos in seconds. Even when you are creating or editing something from scratch that could be done easily thanks to its user interface. You can play around with transitions, cut and crop a video, stabalize vids and do much more. While softwares like Final Cut Pro require indepth knowledge - iMovie enables you to do all the basic stuff for free making it easier for you to get a video ready!
CONSThere are no cons but I'd love to see apple giving in support for more templates and transitions making the software even better for users!

iMovie for small businesses and students
We had to watch YouTube tutorial videos to understand all of the features and how to use them. An optional brief training or overview on the basics would have been helpful. This is not for beginners if you don't have experience using software and editing. However, once you finally get the hang of it, the end product always comes out looking professional and clean.
PROSThe end product looks very professional because of all the editing tools that really bring out details and show quality. Adding music, adjusting the timing of scenes, and words on screen were easy features to use.
CONSUploading media, organizing projects by folders, and finding media in the various folders was difficult and confusing. Also, there weren't pointers or explanations to walk you through. The "help" and FAQ on the Apple site did not provide much support, or the detailed instructions without definitions and clarity were hard to follow.
Reason for choosing iMovie
We work off of Mac/Apple products, so iMovie was more compatible with our operating systems.

Good free editing software.
I use iMovie to edit short videos for YouTube and for podcasts. I enjoy how easy it is to learn and that it has most features needed for basic editing. Sometimes I feel like iMovie takes too many steps to get things done, but it does do them. It’s also a free software.
PROSI like: - ease of learning software (it is much easier to learn and more user friendly than some softwares like Adobe) - free (comes free with all Apple products!) - has good features (picture in picture, text in picture)
CONSI dislike: - not as many features as some other software - some things take more steps (putting Picture in Picture in a video, for example, is a 4 step Process)
Reasons for switching to iMovie
I no longer had access to my old jobs Adobe account and had this already on my Mac

It is magical!
Very easy and fun to use.
PROSThe Magic Movie feature is fun to work with and yet produces great short family videos which we have come to love and enjoy with kids. It is a very easy to use feature which allows the user to choose media in the phone which the iMovie creates the movie from. With this feature, iMovie has become my choice software to introduce my children to movie making. They just love it!
CONSThe software is good as it is. But a drag drop feature would be useful than just adding media into the timeline.

Editing in your phone
REally love it, you can also use it on your phone. I recommend it for basic purposes, if you need a little more in that case I would switch to something more advanced like Premier.
PROSWhat I love the most is being able to make videos without any previous training, both for my company and for personal projects. You can add text, music, audio without any problem, it's very intuitive. And its almost free.
CONSIf something more elaborate is needed, it won't be what you need. It's cute, entertaining, easy to use but for simple projects. Also, sometimes crush and slows down
Reason for choosing iMovie
Easy and almost free
Reasons for switching to iMovie
because it was overwhelming, imovie its more easy to use

Powerful features on a small an affordable package.
iMovie is an excellent entry level option for video editing. The tools are basic but valuable for creators. It’s very reliable and plays well with the rest of the Mac ecosystem of apps.
PROSIt integrates very well on the Mac ecosystem. Works great with photos; GarageBand and the iWorks set of applications.
CONSOnce you are experienced with video editing; iMovie will come short and the tools are basic; the next step will be Final Cut Pro.
Reasons for switching to iMovie

Review for iMovie
I find that iMovie to be the best plus the easiest app to work around. The quality of the videos I produced never disappoint me. There has not been a single day I skipped using iMovie whenever I need to submit my assignments and tasks. The app is simple, straight forward and gets the job done. It is an essential app to have especially as a student. Time to switch your gears and start using iMovie for your upcoming videos!
PROSiMovie is a great software to start creating any type of video. It is very versatile with a wide variety of templates to choose from. It is a crucial app for students as it gives a headstart to start making videos. The program is easy to navigate through. Putting images, icons, stickers and other related attachments come without a hassle. iMovie gives anyone the ability to produce a great standard of videos, with the best transitions. You will definitely love iMovie. I highly suggest you begin your video making journey with iMovie today.
CONSThere are a few drawbacks of the iMovie app. I think some functions can be a little bit too sensitive and it may be quite easy to lose the product that you are working on if you are not careful. This app is also not user-friendly as it can only be accessed by Apple product users only. Although neat, I find that the iMovie app is lacking in terms of creativity and style as some designs are a bit old style. However, this app is certainly better than most out there.

iMovie is a challenge for creating social media posts
I used to use iMovie exclusively, for many years, stretching back to its early days of the mid-2000s, primarily for producing fairly simple music videos. In the past five years I've used to to create and/or edit a number of client marketing videos for uploading to Youtube and Vimeo. But in the past couple of years I find myself using iMovie less and other platforms more, as my client work has demanded more social media-friendly content. I can simply work faster without iMovie slowing me down.
PROSiMovie has great drag-and-drop features. It's easy to add sound files, and it handles green screen reasonably enough. It's easy to add titles. Love the [SENSITIVE CONTENT] effect for adding motion to still photos to create a more visually interesting slide show. It provides high-quality downloads. And, best of all, it comes standard on Mac laptops and computers, so there's no ongoing subscription, etc.
CONSIt doesn't natively work well for exporting video to the standard square or vertical aspect ratios of social media. It's really built for displaying on horizontal screens. It doesn't automatically upload to social media, which requires you to download hefty video files to your computer and *then* upload to your chosen platforms. Much of the video editing work I do these days calls for exports for Instagram and Facebook, so editing a project in iMovie is a real pain. It also has some limitations when it comes to creating multi split-screen videos. iMovie just doesn't handle this as well as some other editing platforms.
Reason for choosing iMovie
iMovie comes standard with Mac laptops

Video Editing Made Easy!
This tool makes my work easy. The duration of the video is never a problem now. Just drag and drop, add and cut, use effects and transitions. Done! The video is ready for uploading . This is far the best option for editing videos. 2 words to describe it: Fast and Easy!
PROSThis software interface is very user friendly. Dragging and dropping the video on the timeline directly saves a lot of time. The effects and transitions can easily be applied to one part or the full project which makes the process very fast and smooth. The exporting options like directly uploading videos to a youtube channel directly is very helpful.
CONSIn case of plugins and tools it does have certain limitations. Although it will surely be improved but still sometimes it is a problem.

A Beginners best guide to learn and still produce quality material
I use iMovie for my very first paying jobs when I started so many years ago. So I really hold it very fondly. It taught me so many basics that became the fundamentals upon which I developed advanced skills when I transitioned to other more advanced software. But I still keep it for the very light projects, and for training new interns on the basic concepts they need to learn when they start out.
PROSIt is extremely easy to learn and use. Another great feature about iMovie is that it does not require an active internet connection in order to function. Being able to drag and drop has also allowed me to successfully get my little nieces interested in video work, and now they get to work on school projects and produce video content for their school social media pages with iMovie.
CONSColor correction in iMovie is quite limited, to be honest. But I only used it at the very beginning of my career when the demands were not as great. So as an amateur or entry-level tool, I don't think I can complain too much about that.

Perfect for personal use
I loved it for personal use, despite I'm a professional Video Producer/Motion Designer. Realize video/photo slideshow for friends and family are so fast and easy.
PROSEasy to use, intuitive and rich of useful features. It has evertything a video-editing software need to have for personal use with no purpose of professional use. Perfect for editing Photo slideshow, Vacation videos, Family videos. On a Mac platform it's absolutely a MUST HAVE, perfect integration with all Mac libraryes. Really useful also the integration with iOS app, so you can Edit in mobility and finish it at home.
CONSA little bit tricky the timeline and not so easy understand clearly the duration of clips. Sometime it makes you nervous to understand some editing steps. It's not a cross platform software, it works only on Apple devices.

Top Video Editing Software
iMovie is my go-to video editing software. I've used it to put together a number of projects over the years and have highly recommended it to anyone who is looking at creating or compiling a video project.
PROSThis is an incredible video software for its price - it's free with your Apple device. While its interface make take a bit for new aspiring video editors and creators to accustom themselves to, in just a short time anyone can have a video ready to share without any training required. You can cut and compile any number of video clips together and can add text, transitions, animations, images, etc. to your project - the possibilities are endless!
CONSThe iMovie app can be prone to freezing or crashing at times. Its provided aspect ratio seems to be set in stone. Videos that don't meet the iMovie aspect ratio have to be either zoomed in or with black bars on either side. With the rise of vertical videos thanks to the popularity of such social media platforms as TikTok and Instagram Stories, this is something that would be greatly beneficial.

Easy to use
My overall experience with iMovie has been a decent one, because it was a good program for me to begin and learn video editing on, but many of its features can be lacking at times.
PROSWhat I like most about iMovie is that it's extremely easy to use if you're a beginner. If you want to get into editing videos and creating content, iMovie is a great program to start with because it's very beginner-friendly.
CONSWhat I like least about iMovie is that it's very slow at times and tends to lag quite a bit. It seems to be lacking in some aspects of functionality and user-interface.
