I have loved using castr from day one. It has been pretty much the easiest multi streamer I have tried.

I loved the great affordability. I also thought it was very easy to use and best of all it did what it is supposed to. I never have had any dropped connections with it.

Honestly I can't think of any negatives as far as the way I use it, it's perfect for my needs. We use it to multi stream our weekly church services.

Before I give my review, if I could give one solid piece of advice, it's STAY AWAY FROM CASTR.IO Their customer service, while friendly, lack knowledge and typically beat around the bushes when answering your questions. And if they do know the direct answer, it's usually a disappointment. The scheduler is many times choppy when streaming videos from it, and you can only have ONE scheduler. YES ONE SCHEDULER. That's so crazy that no matter what package you have, you get ONE. And they mislead you to believe higher packages have more. On top of this, I've had plenty of issues with a stream stopping in the middle and having to restart it over completely from the beginning because they have no method to skip through videos that you upload to their schedulers. The idea and concept of their service is fantastic, their actual service is terrible. Save yourself some trouble and go get service that actually works consistently the way you need it to. I expect castr.io to lose more and more as people realize how featureless they actually are with all the bugs in their system.

With Castr we are able to steam Worship Services consistently to Facebook and YouTube without difficulties. Castr provides the streaming capability and we just need to send the video feed to Castr. Being in Hawaii it can be difficult finding a good streaming server. However we have had no problems with the Castr LA server.

Castr is easy to setup multiple streams. We use OBS as are method to stream and it is nice to be able to start the stream and connect to Castr before we stream to social media.

At this moment we have had no problems with Castr. Any problems we have had has been due to our Internet connection or the social media sites themselves. Castr has been solid. It has many features that other sites charge a lot more money to provide.

Absolutely LOVE and need the multi-streaming service that Castr provides. We stream from OBS weekly and send signals to both Facebook and Youtube. Castr has been a simple solution where I set the streaming info for both sites in Castr, and then only have to log-in and change anything if one of them has a problem with the persistent streaming key. in our weekly use, Castr is NEVER the problem if we encounter any issues.

Because we only use a simple feature of the site and are barely scraping the surface, it was a bit overwhelming to set up.

We have been using Castr with OBS for more than one year now; due to the pandemic, all our programs had to go online. Even after we come back to in-person programming, we will definitely rely on Castr as our multi-streaming service. We tried with several others, but none were as reliable as Castr.

The interface is very user friendly, and there are a ton of channels that I can set up. Controls are easy to understand, you don't need too much information to set up a channel. I have been working with three different Facebook channels, and two YouTube on the same stream and I have had no issues with lag. Also, the price is very affordable.

I wonder if there is a way to integrate Instagram. I know it's not a very friendly platform for multistreamers, but I just wonder...

Castr is not only very easy to setup and manage a stream, but being able to broadcast to multiple sources such as Facebook and YouTube is made very easy.

It doesn't happen a lot, but on occasion we have had a glitch where when we multi-stream, one platform will work instantly but the other platform takes a while to connect. Usually all you have to do is close the window and restart Castr to fix the problem. But overall this happens very rarely. As long as you have stable internet you should have no issues.

My experience overall has been smooth and consistent.

It works and the feed is reliable, I can’t say the same for other popular streaming services. The ease of use is also very simple for someone just starting out.

Our team hosts livestream events for corporate clients. It's quick and easy to set up and is been a rock-solid platform. We've never experienced downtime or service level issues during a live event.

Castr doesn't offer advanced features, such as variable bitrate streaming, unless you upgrade to higher tier plans. We've also been a customer for more than a year and plans and pricing have changed multiple times.

The ability to stream to different platforms simultaneously was a big issue. Now with Castr, the problem is solved. Also to be able to schedule a video to go live at a particular time on all selected platforms at the same time.

Scheduling a rebroadcast to stream at a selected time and also broadcasting a stream without a watermark.

No possibility to chat live with all platforms in the same chat window.

Its ease of use and the ability to create unique Multistream configurations works well for us on a weekly basis as well as for our occasional special services like weddings, funeral and the like.

Remembering to click "Start Live Stream" on Facebook Live; however, this is not Castr's fault.

Overall very happy. Support over chat has been responsive with any questions. After using it with this organization, I have recommended Castr to other organizations, and they have been happy with performance. One of the nonprofits I work with only has to broadcast events every few months, so I have the flexibility to signup in months I will need Castr, and then cancel when I don't need it. And all my settings stay when I signup again.

During pandemic, we had to quickly transition our on onsite mosque programs to online only. Previously we would record and upload certain programs to YouTube, but now we would be hosting via Zoom, and we wanted to reach our audience on YouTube and Facebook live as well. There are many tools on the market, but we found Castr to be easy to set up and priced similarly to others. Castr also allows you to stream to other major platforms such as Twitch and Vimeo and so many others we have not heard of. We have also liked the ability to upload videos and schedule a go live event. It drastically reduces the need to manage things separately on Facebook and YouTube.

YouTube integration was finicky in the beginning, and part of it was with how YouTube was making changes. We settled upon separate YouTube streaming keys for each of our event types, and configured them as as separate streams in Castr. This also means we have to pre-schedule our streams in YouTube and associate with the correct. However, we have worked that into our processes, and it isn't that much overhead. We've also had the occasional problem with Facebook where the stream starts twice, and and we end up with 2 events (a 2 minute start of the event, and then a separate one with the rest).

From the first time we used Castr.io the program has done exactly what we needed for a very very reasonable price. Love the price and even better than cost is customer support. EVERYTIME we have had a question, they have replied nearly instantaneously no matter what time it was!!!!

This software does exactly what we need, there really are no least likes.

It's expensive, but one of the cheaper options these days for what I need. I would not use Castr if it were not for free options being a dwindling thing (I moved from Mobcrush, which worked excellently and had similar features, but was free).

It functions well for multicasting, the basic chat it has will bring together the chats of other sites. This is very helpful for my use-case where I teach.

It's pretty bare bones on some aspects:-The chat popup isn't customizable. I think this feature is needed to compete with other services.-When adding social media accounts for streams, it disallows you to re-use the same pages without penalizing you (against restrictions on the account for number of accounts). When using a paid product that says it can be used with X-many accounts, it should mean that, not count duplicates.-I could not set up multiple multistream setups as a result of the above issue.

My overall experience with Castr has been above and beyond my expectations. It has been fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone that would like to broadcast to multiple destinations at one time.

Castr is so easy to use and allows so much freedom when it comes to our church livestreams. I have quickly been able to train other congregation members, who are more elderly, to use this software with ease which allows more freedom for me. With that said being able to login from any location allows me to troubleshoot any ideas they may come across when I am not on site. I love this product very much.

I cannot say there are any cons I have found with Castr. This product has been so good and reliable that it creates a quality product to multiple destinations at one time making my life so much easier. If I have to mention one con, is that I have not been able to figure out the responding to all platforms at one time, but I think that comes from me using a phone and not a computer.

Multistreaming is what I mostly use it for and my experience has been very positive little to no hiccups at all.

Castr is an amazing product and I have yet to really tap into all of its features but I will say it's very reliable and the customer service is great and fast when I have concerns or questions.

Castr has been a wonderful addition to our team and has allowed us to take care of some of the issues that we were facing with the current freeware we were using.

The software is all-encompassing and relatively inexpensive. When looking at other options on the market, it blows all current freeware out of the water and holds its own again some of the more expensive comparable programmings.

Honestly, the issues we have are from lack of training on the product. The degree of functionality is just very high. Comprehensive training would benefit new customers.

I was with Restream for years and switched to Castr because it was more bang for the buck. The customer service has been very friendly and more than helpful with ANY issue I've run into - even if was with other software. I wish I knew of Castr before I wasted all that time and money with Restream.

Chat Overlay doesn't display User name when consolidating all of your comments, making it useless. Was told it was a Facebook coding issue - don't really care. It doesn't work, other chat overlays do.

Once I started livestreaming client events, I quickly ran into the problem of multistreaming. Castr was one of the first platforms I tried, and I ended up sticking with it. The ease of use, customer support, and stability of the platform were the main reasons I kept using it.When I need to multistream, I know I can count on Castr to have everything ready in a matter of minutes.

Castr has serviced our needs to reach not only our community, but parts of the world. We reach South Africa, and Europe. Our stream is never dropped, we broadcast for 1 1/2 hours.

BoxCaster is cloud based platform, for live streaming. Has it's own ethernet connection. Set up is easy, you don't need that super expensive computer. Can start a stream from your iPad or IPhone. Our muliti camera HDMI mixer fits right into one side. Best of all the BoxCater has Audio Gain Control. Our sound person is very happy what we here is what is sent out. This is a TV station in a box 4 x 3 inchs. We also use the service to broadcast to facebook and youtube. Now they have a live chat system which is managed by the developers. The level of service is outstanding.

No aspect of this product is difficult. It fit effortlessly into our demands.

So far, re-streaming to multiple platforms without stressing my computer and internet bandwidth on a daily basis with that ease of use and quick to connect to all my destinations makes using Castr worth it.

For me, after searching the web and looking at all the Re-streaming software available out there, Castr's price point was the best value for money. It's ease of use and simple user interface also made buying this software a no-brainer.

can't think of any right now but i would maybe add the ability to do simple graphic overlays from the dashboard, per destination. So for destination 1, i can say add a custom graphic bug, and 2 another different custom overlay etc.
