The experience has been excellent, I was able to get started right away, and because the system is so simple I have been able to set up clients really quickly. After checking across the board for options I found Filecamp, and love how easy it is to use. The system is really intuitive so there isn't any time out needed to learn how to use the system. I could customise the system, using our company logo and colours, and I could customise the customer log in too, so that their logo was on their pages. Our clients appreciated not need to remember a user name and password. We're very satisfied with Filecamp: easy to upload and share images at a low cost. It's safe, reliable and overall very user-friendly if you're not into very advanced features and only need the basics. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 4/5 - Functionality: 3/5 #### Pros Ease of use: uploading and sharing images is very simple. In addition to folders you can create collections of images that are stored in separate folders. Very convenient to share images externally. Unfortunately other users can't see collections you've made unless you send a link to it. #### Cons Tagging, user and folder management could be better. A lot of it works by copying rights to other folders or users, but that makes it more difficult after a while to know which rights should be copied. It's also not always straightforward to understand who can see what. But there is a 'Login as' function so you can mimic another user to help with that. Finding images with a specific tag is difficult as there is no tag cloud to click tags. You have to know them by heart or be lucky that you hit on them while searching. #### Vendor response Thanks, Fabrian. The team enjoy using it as its so simple and never lets us down. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 4/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros The platform is really intuitive and easy to use and its great that you can brand it as your own with easy customization options. This allows to share files in a professional manner with pur clients without having to use something like WeTransfer. The platform security has always been very robust and sharing files securely and privately is very straightforward. #### Cons It can be xpensive if you ahve a lot of storage and once you have a lot of folders to go through it can be difficult and time consuming finding where all the storage is used up. It's a simple, quick and easy cloud storage solution. The user can create a folder and upload the folders which keep the information organized. The user can add a description to the file so that other users get the information about the file. The user can use tags to the file which help to find a particular file quickly. The user can download the original uploaded file with lower resolution files. The file camp allows the enterprise to add its company branding and titling. The user can set a custom theme for the user interface. The application is available in Android, Windows, Mac and website version. #### Cons The subscription plan is pricey for small enterprises, would have introduced custom subscription plans. In-person, webinar training support is not available. Customer support should improve the response time and resolution of the issues. It has an all important link sharing expiry option, which means that links to documents cannot be abused. You are able to share files and folder with people who do are not registered with your Filecamp storage platform, which is very handy for once off document sharing requirements. #### Cons The moving of documents between folders is a bit slow as there is no drag and drop or cut and paste option. #### Vendor response Hi Joanne. Uploading is easy. Has the tagging functions and ability to add users. #### Cons The features don't all work well or are not well implemented. No real search function, poor mobile performance. Been having buggy performance lately. Informing users of new galleries or selects or other changes is nearly non existent, users can be notified when files are added to a folder but it just lists the file names in an email. It should rather show a preview of the images added and send them their login credentials to view it or make logins for clients easier. #### Vendor response Hi Thomas We are currently working on Filecamp v4 (gigantic update!) which will address the issues you have experienced! Other headlines are; new user interface, better performance, full mobile/touch compatibility, folder upload, FTP mount, easier user management, advanced search features, improved online proofing/commenting, more notification options, bulk adding of tags, more metadata options, auto-tags, custom pages ... and a lot more. The good news is that Filecamp v4 will be awesome!!! The bad news is that it will probably take us another 5-7 months before we can release it, and I hope you can wait. We are using it to manage a library of over 3,000 images, videos and graphic files. It's been easily implemented and adapted within our organization. Setup can be done in an hour. No high pressure sales as with other products. #### Cons Would love to see the ability to enlarge images in the grid view for easier browsing. This way the clients don't need to log-in or make an account and I can just share the links through an email template within Filecamp. As a photographer another thing of importance is the ability for clients to preview shared files. #### Cons Filecamp has the option for a branded white label file sharing. This means that all your client sees is your own business without any references to Filecamp. But the 'white label' option could still be made better if there was the possibility to change the wording (manually or automatically in a language of choice) in any of the UI that the client see. This is important for non-English businesses in order to have a true white label experience. #### Vendor response Thanks Philip. I can confirm that a multi-lingual version is on our roadmap.
