Works great as a secure VDR
Datasite was easy to use and took little effort to set up.
CONSThe Q&A feature felt clunky and confusing. You aren't able to hide questions from specific users without setting up a whole new workflow.

Quality data room option
Datasite offers a safe and secure environment where we can share sensitive information without losing control of who has access.
CONSThe tradeoff with security is speed and ease of access. Resetting passwords and two factor authentication are must haves for a secure environment but this can sometimes slow down the speed of access.

PROSCustomer support is excellent. Easy user role and access management.
CONSA major critical feature that is missing is unique identifier (ID number) for documentation. The reference for documents change if you change the order, which is a massive cons. Lack of integration with other systems.

Works well!
Very easy to use. Many data rooms are similar but Datasite has an attractive layout

Great Service
Outstanding. Really enjoy the user experience.
PROSI use Datasite for a number of the deals I work on. I find the product extremely user friendly, easy to access, and helpful to find the materials I need. It is top of the market for this software.
CONSNotifications could be a bit more rapid and clear as to when new documents are uploaded, although it's not any worse than peer products.

CONSIt is on the pricier side and with constantly changing functionality, can be difficult to keep up with what's new.

I like it! I've found it very easy to use and the people at customer support are helpful when I can't figure out a tool / have tech issues.
PROSI think it's easy to use, and I wish I would use it more; however, I don't set up the data rooms (the bankers send me links and I sign up for whatever one they choose)
CONSN/A - it is my favorite VDR by miles. I think the next best is Intralinks, but Datasite is far better

Excellent data room provider
Datasite is consistently excellent. Their platform is easy to use, intuitive, and customizable. Their customer support is top notch, and the optical character recognition has been incredibly useful for making documents searchable.
CONSI have used Datasite many times, and it has always been a great experience. However, on the last project I worked on, it would default to the "Index" view of the data room which was not very helpful. I had to manually revert to a different view each time I visited the data room.

It is easy to use, everything to you need to do takes seconds and very few pushes of buttons.
CONSI would like to add documents in the Q&A without having to save them in the structure in the VDR.

Overall pleased I use them for all our M&A deals.
PROSUI is easy to use and has multiple functions and features, it's not overly simplistic which is good.
CONSCould be quicker, have better redacting tech, more automation.

The VDR does what it should do without overwhelming the user with useless messages like "encrypting data" like it does with competitors VDRa
CONSPermissions should be fine on Folder level to adjust and not on file level

Good dataroom for due-diligence
The data room was easy to use and we could redact the files in the data room after they were already uploaded. Having different access privileges was easy to set up and very handy. The system emails reports to all users notifying them of what has changed/been added to the data room which we found very useful.
CONSThe price per page is quite high so we had to ensure we were only adding the files that were most important.

M&A transaction data room
Good, would generally recommend as a good site for M&A deal due diligence.
PROSGenerally user friendly, good range of functions and AI redaction tool is very helpful, sandbox folder is helpful when learning how to navigate data room and preparing folders before publication.
CONSSetting permissions for groups of users was not as easy to vary as some other data room sites used. Expensive in comparison to some other similar platforms.
